Some mods who defend him (OK, one) say that all he is doing is flaming, which in his eyes shouldn't really be a bannable offense and that others should have a thicker skin. While that is debateable, the subject at hand isn't Mike's obvious flaming/flamebaiting, it's his trolling that causes otherwise civil discussions about a movie (I don't care if it's Michael Moore or Steven Speilberg, the same level of civility should be maintained in either one unless it's in CE or HD) to go completely awry, then throw a tantrum when told to cut down on the act.

 

Of course it doesn't matter unless there's a real big board shake-up and now the mods are all having disagreements. Where's Grand Poobah Dames when ya need him to lay down the law?

The thing I don't get is how Mike is still here. Yeah, I keep arguing to the bitter end, reluctantly, with him on partisan talking points that go nowhere and becme "I think my party's solution works, and yours doesn't" stretched out until kingdom come, but I know I'm not alone in thinking he's become more and more of a troll, which is a shame as all the flamebaiting and trolling and namecalling has brought down the quality of his posts, which used to be pretty decent.

 

A couple other people have also spotted him bullying away in other forums and in other threads. Anyone who disagrees with him is flamed, and anyone who stands up to the flame is hurled personal insults or a claim of innocence.

 

In fact, I know I'll get a response to one of these two reactions to this post.

 

As far as I'm conerned, he's past his freshness date and contributed all the insight he ever well from this point on. For the love of God, please ban.
