Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Could Gunn be planning a jump to TNA? Word backstage is that Billy Gunn and Bob Holly are the two most disgruntled guys in the Smackdown locker room right now. Both guys are upset because they feel they have "paid their dues" and deserve bigger pushes than what they are getting. Management is also upset with them because they feel that the two did not do everything they could to make Kenzo Suzuki and Mordecai look good at the Great American Bash PPV. Gunn was recently backstage at the TNA Impact! taping and while he acted like he was only there to visit friends, many suspect he could be considering going to the promotion. TNA may look even more attractive to Gunn now that they are likely to be based out of Orlando and tape both their PPVs and Impact! there. Gunn likes in Orlando. credit 411wrestling.com My thoughts? Let them go!!
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Gunn, Holly unhappy with WWE, Oh God! I hope they don't quit
AndrewTS Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 If they're unhappy in WWE, I hope they make the decision that is best for themselves...and I wish them luck in future endeavors. What? It's not like I even watch Smackdown anymore.
Guest Dazed Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I don't understand their point of view. "Paying ... dues" = push? To a point, longevity should be a factor when determining pushes, but it's not the only thing. For fuck's sake, they are both terrible wrestlers. Not 'average' or 'mediocre', they are awful. And THAT is a far more important factor to consider than whether or not they put people over when they were new.
Dark Age Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I dunno what's stupider. Gunn and Holly thinking they deserve a push, or WWE thinking these guys could drag something out of Mordecai and Kenzo.
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 They should consider themselves lucky to be employed. Heck, they're just not ME caliber talent. It's not like Vince hasn't rewarded them for "paying their dues", they've gotten more chances than anybody I can think of.
EdwardKnoxII Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I say before Holly goes he has a match with Matt Morgan and the other TE Matt, can't think of his last name and they stiff the everloving shit out of Holly.
Black Lushus Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 especially when you consider how many times combined these two have been repackaged and they still fail to get over...Bombastic Bob anyone? how about Rockabilly? take a hike bozos...
Guest Quik Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Holly was worth watching during the Super-heavyweight period. Count Fatass and and Jeff Hardy as Karen Carpenter = Gold. Other than that, he's worthless. Billy Gunn sucks ass. He was acceptable in DX, but now he is a worthless douchebag.
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I say before Holly goes he has a match with Matt Morgan and the other TE Matt, can't think of his last name and they stiff the everloving shit out of Holly. The only prob with that is I think Bob would a) love it. b)whip both their asses.
Just John Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Management is also upset with them because they feel that the two did not do everything they could to make Kenzo Suzuki and Mordecai look good at the Great American Bash PPV. Ok, not even Holly and Gunn deserve that. Making Kenzo and Mordecai look good is not an easy task, let alone for two guys as bad as Holly and Gunn.
Dangerous A Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 "Gunn, Holly unhappy with WWE" Then freaking leave already. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
algrim Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Who needs those two idiots? They had plenty of chances to hit it big, but failed miserably. Gunn had tons of success with NAO, but that could only get him over for a period of time. Holly has always been a midcarder. If those two bitter fools decide to go, more power to them. *Totally marking out for HEY HEY GOODBYE*
NoCalMike Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Actually, I hope WWE keeps them, because I don't want them ruining TNA. Those two are the lost thing a small promotion, trying to get notice, need on their roster.
justcoz Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 PLEASE RELEASE THEM!!!!! They are wasted $$$ on the payroll and it's obvious that they will simply never be over again in WWE. I could see both of them fitting in nicely with TNA, hell, we can have a New Age Outlaws reunion with Gunn and Armstrong.
EdwardKnoxII Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I say before Holly goes he has a match with Matt Morgan and the other TE Matt, can't think of his last name and they stiff the everloving shit out of Holly. The only prob with that is I think Bob would a) love it. b)whip both their asses. Well then drug his ass before the match. Because after all the shit he's done to them Holly needs to get paid back in kind.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 "Gunn, Holly unhappy with WWE" Well, as sad as this is.......I now have something in common with Holly and Billy Gunn................thanks....thanks a bunch.
DerangedHermit Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Here's hoping they leave. And when they do, I'll be singing like JR. Nah. Nah nah nah. Nah nah. Hey hey. Goodbye.
Guest Repo Man Reborn Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I hope the WWE puts them in a dark match feud with each other. Billy Gunn should have been released right after they released that "ASSMAN" song. "I love to lick'em, I love to stick'em..." This should have been Bradshaw's entrance music.
Guest Ronnie755 Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 These two have no business complaining about anything. As mentioned in a bunch of posts, they've received countless chances, been kept around for over a decade and always flop. Menawhile, there have been numerous other wrestlers that get buried from the get go or are given one chance and immediately given up on if they don't get over right off the bat. Ofcourse, often these same wrestlers get fired rather quickly. Holly and Gunn should be thankful that they're still employed. There are and have been many wrestlers that have had it much worse.
Guest Jimbo Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Well! I for one appreciated both of their efforts and will dearly miss them ya ungrateful punks! *runs*
NoCalMike Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Hell, they probably see Bradshaw as champ and realize they are no worse then that big piece of crap, and now they want their shot.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Hell, they probably see Bradshaw as champ and realize they are no worse then that big piece of crap, and now they want their shot. Now that MAY actually be the case.
TheBigSwigg Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Management is also upset with them because they feel that the two did not do everything they could to make Kenzo Suzuki and Mordecai look good at the Great American Bash PPV. Ok, not even Holly and Gunn deserve that. Yes, yes they do.
Black Lushus Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 i can see Vince now, sitting in his chair just reading over the memo about his two unhappy "superstars"...seeing that grin of his is making me chuckle to myself right now...
notJames Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Hell, they probably see Bradshaw as champ and realize they are no worse then that big piece of crap, and now they want their shot. Yet another reason JBL as World Champ was a horrible shitstain of an idea.
LucharesuFan619 Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 http://www.50-cent.us/cd1/track05.php Read the first four words under "[50 Cent]" for my advice to these two. Thanks.
King Cucaracha Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I always kinda liked Gunn, even now somewhat. Why? I have NO idea, but I can't seem to actually hate him. Holly can go to hell though. Stiffing other wrestlers doesn't warrant a push, it warrants a firing.
