A boatload of games for $4.99 each.

Recommended Posts

I went to a Circuit City today, couldn't find the vast majority of the games on that list - I don't know if that was because the store I went to had already sold out of them in the last couple days, or that the Playstation selection wasn't that large at the store that I went to, or perhaps it might have been the fact that the store clerks were just then (at that very moment) marking some games as 5 bucks.

I'm planning to hit the other Circuit City store near me on Thursday, and hopefully I'll have more luck; if not, I suppose I'll check back next week, since a few people here have mentioned that more games will be marked down or put out on the 11th? As it is, I'm just hoping I can find a copy of Red Faction 2, Capcom v. SNK 2, and Dynasty Warriors 4.

I did pick up Legends of Wrestling 2, Timesplitters (cause I'm a FPS mark), and Evergrace (cause I'm an RPG mark). Worth 15 bucks IMO.

I just posted the updated list of the games, in my original topic.

I also sold Disgaea - Hour of Darkness to someone for $35, since I found out what kind of game it actually was.

Anyone who can pick up a copy of ESPN NHL 2K4 for me, I'll pay you for it, and pay you for shipping.

I went to my CC, and they had about three games left for the PS2, none of which interested me.

PLEASE?!!??!

I just got back from doing a little shopping of my own over at my local Circuit City and picked up 5 games all for $4.99 each

Well, 6 actually, I bought Splinter Cell for Xbox over at GameStop.

I got all sports games, and here's what I got:

NCAA College Basketball 2K3 - Xbox

NBA 2K2 - Xbox

NCAA College Football 2002 - PS2

ESPN NHL Hockey - Xbox

Rugby 2004 - PS2

Found four more today at a different Circuit City.

Fifa Soccer 2004 for Gamecube

NCAA Football 2K3 for PS2

NBA Live 2K3 for PS2

Rocky for PS2

I was considering NCAA Basketball 2K2 or 3 (unsure of which year it was, because I saw TONS of basketball games there today), but since I just got NBA Courtside the other day, and NBA Live today, I held off. Gotta keep somewhat of a budget, lol.

The copy of VJ that I got was burried behind a bunch of Mickey's Magical Kingdom (?, all I know is it had Mickey Mouse on the front). I was glad that I checked behind every game, as I was also able to find Wrestlemania X9 that way too. And, there was also a copy of Simpsons Road Rage that I was going to get but it didn't ring up at $4.99.

Oh and supposedly, EB Games has a promotion where you can trade any 5 games in for Madden 2005/NCAA Football 2005 or Spiderman for free.

Apparently I missed the gravy train at my local Circuit City since none of the games listed were there. Damn me for not finding Disgaea for five bucks...

We went Monday morning and they didn't have a whole lot. My friend got some Lotus Grand Prix racing or something like that and it gets $20 trade in at Gamecrazy.

Does anyone know if more games are going to be stocked for this deal, or is it just on merchandise that's already in the store (basically, a clearance sale)?

Because someone did bring up the possibility that this sale either won't "officially" start until the 11th or that on the 11th more games will be added / supplied.

They are getting new shipments. One of the ones around me got one today and I got several more games. I asked when they might be the last time I was there.

I know about 5 people who work at the one closest to me, and plan on getting the scoop on when they expect shipments too. I'm also gonna see if they can raid the boxes beforehand and maybe put a few games I haven't caught yet aside for me.

Meh. I wouldn't expect to any decent games to be available in these shipments.

Most of the games that are worth more than $5, like Disgaea, haven't been restocked for months, and won't be again.

Basically, either:

1) Your CC isn't restocking anything, and all the good games were gone last weekend.

2) If your CC is restocking, it's likely just find old crappy sports games and junk that won't be a good deal.

3) Some CC's are supposedly holding all their games until the 11th. I doubt many are bothering with this, however, since they just want to get rid of the junk.

Picked up 2 copies of NHL 2k4 for X box today at CC. 12 trade in aint bad. Also got 2 copies of Freestyle Soccer for GC at Blockbuster for $19 and traded them in for $35 credit. My NCAA football 2005 is now paid for for way cheap.

I got there way too late... best I could do was Wrestlemania XIX and Super Bust-a-Move.

But I've got friends in other cities, friends who don't play videogames so they won't keep the good finds for themselves, going to their CC's for me. Hopefully that'll make up for it.

My local Circuit City didn't have much. I wanted to add a few games to my GameCube collection, but their selection sucked. All they had for GC was a preview disc, some Mickey Mouse game, NBA Courtside, THPS 3 (the game doesn't suck, but I already have it for PS2), and Legends of Wrestling 2.

The trip wasn't a total loss though, as I managed to find a copy of Eternal Darkness, which I hear is pretty good.

All my CC had was a few sports titles, some PS1 titles, and pretty much nothing else. No Bloodrayne! I was *so* pissed.

But we stopped at CD Warehouse on the way home, and I picked up Don Juan Demarco for $6.99. So..that cheered me up.
