What program will HHH suck the heat out of next?

Recommended Posts

Guest Repo Man Reborn

By pairing Eugene up with HHH and Evolution, the writers have managed to turn a charming, special-type character into an annoying dumb-ass who follows the same "face" formula that says, "I never catch the heels pushing you into me, so it must mean you are turning on me."

I guess what little pop Edge receives for his goofy entrance will now disappear into the black hole in the center of the RAW universe.

Along with Benoit's title reign.

WWE logic says that the guy who gets the pin at the end of the last RAW before the PPV is using the one staring up at the lights at the end of the PPV.............but this Sunday may be the exception.

This is just general bitching. Feel free to comment.

Actually, I am still enjoying the whole Eugene thing, but THANKS to HHH, it's true: The great Eugene we knew is slowly disappearing, and all we have is a tool for HHH to make himself look better. I love the fact he is still confused on what to do, and he felt bad hitting Benoit with the chair, but man, Eugene needs to get away from Evolution because it looks crappy with him in it...

Fuck this bullshit. Triple H has done nothing but add to the Eugene character, if not made it even better.

Hunter is an awesome heel, and he is seriously workin' it with Eugene.

Suck a dick, the lot of you.

The tag titles are useless anyway so I hope Eugene and Flair win Sunday. Crazy old Flair with Eugene is gold. Everything he did last night had me cracking up. From the struts, shoving Stacy, complaing about being a 16 time world champion and playing ring around the possie, to "I'll kill him!"

Eugene is helping everyone.

I like the Eugene/HHH angle too, and I have to admit I was skeptical at first. I thought HHH was positioning to ride the coat tails of something new and hot. Maybe he is, but it's actually making the angle better.

I do think that they can go too far with this though. Eugene should eventually wise up and get some revenge on HHH. Otherwise he'll look like Loser #47 who dared stand in the way of HHH and the crowd will lose interest in him.

I'm enjoying the HHH/Eugene storyline somewhat, but I feel the focus needs to be on more than those two. Remember: HHH is using Eugene for his own gains and once he gets what he wants (the title), Eugene is as good as dead.

The story is that this is obvious to everyone but Eugene, so where's Benoit trying to tell Eugene the truth? Where's Regal in this now? All we're seeing is HHH manipulate Eugene and several accidents in the ring that cause Benoit or whoever to hurt Eugene (all of which seem horribly contrived, but that's another discussion altogether).

And what about Bischoff? Is he still trying to get Eugene off Raw? Or is he warming up to him because he's with HHH now?

Too many questions, not enough answers.

Isn't that the point of storylines? Have questions until you get the answers at the end?

Let it play out.

Your first two questions are answered easily since Eugene is always with Evolution, how exactly would either Benoit or Regal get to Eugene to get a word in. Besides, with HHH feeding Eugene that both Benoit and Regal hit him because they don't like him, it's quite obvious that Eugene will most likely believe HHH (who has done what he has needed to to keep up the charade).

As for Bischoff, come on. He wants Eugene off his show. However, last week he is going with the plan of having HHH do all of his dirty work for him. Thusly, he's playing along with HHH so that when the time finally comes, HHH will utterly destroy Eugene and get rid of Bischoff's "embaressment".

I really don't see how there are so many questions not answered. All of these have been answered in about the last month.

If Eugene wasn't working with Evolution which heel could he work with to get him over? there is no depth to Eugene at all he is the idiot playing the foil and when Triple H finally turns on him the fans will fawn over Eugene even more. If a scenario would have came up where a feud between William Regal and Eugene could have gotten him over the WWE would have more than likely went with that concept but it would have been a midcard segment and they could do nothing after about 2 ppv matches so when you logically think of it Evolution is in 4-5 segments on each RAW and now Eugene is in around 3 of them and when the Eugene schtick runs its course he will be gone back to OVW.....Also just another opinion on the subject doesn't it seem like Randy Orton is complaining alot about the "honorary" member of Evolution tag that HHH gave Eugene maybe this is the angle that breaks up Evolution and turns Triple H face because I think Orton has the potential to be a heel on par with the late 98'-99' Rock.

Speaking of people who can suck a dick...

They can only annoy fans with this Eugene stuff for so long before they turn on the angle for good.

The Bottom Line:

Show started promising enough, but boredom and more bad booking set in by the end and it just ended up being another dull episode. Nothing really helped build interest in the PPV on Sunday, either. We can only hope the Benoit era isn’t over, but I’m not holding my breath.

Well, at least it’s not Bradshaw.

Well if HHH can just walk out to the ring and start blabbing, why can't Benoit? We know that Eugene watches the shows ("Remember when La Resistance beat Rhyno and Val Venis?") so if Benoit called him out to the ring, he'd probably see it. Then we can just see a backstage clip of HHH telling Eugene that Benoit will attack him again if he goes out there. Benoit shouldn't be successful in reaching Eugene (not at this point), but at least try.

Well, he would've been able to last night due to the fact that Eugene was the commish and frankly, do you really think you want to piss off anyone who has GM for a day? Especially Eugene?

Yes, I agree that Benoit and Regal should at least be shown as trying, but the last show was not the place to have that happen, as Eugene would've then gone a little too far into heelish territory (by booking something pretty awful) and then you may not get anyone cheering for him like what will happen when Eugene does get run over by HHH.

I'm still of the opinion that Eugene is going to turn on the fans and be in Evolution. I don't know maybe some of Russo's brain is stuck in the inner ear of my head. This Eugene/HHH stuff isn't that bad right now, but I fear the overexposure will make me sick in short time. It can reach levels of being too contrived.

Who can seriously trust SK on his opinions anymore? Unless he's giving a cyber blow job to Benoit, he thinks everything sucks.

HHH manipulating Eugene for his own gain is a very interesting angle. Remember, HHH is the cerebral assassin who manipulates to get what he wants, and Eugene is the PERFECT character to do so with.

I just think you finally had something to do with Regal and now's he crap.

Much like Test and Stephanie.

Test actually had something to do and when HHH jumped on board, you had a blow-off match between Test and Triple H and then Test went into the crapper.

HHH is at the point of his career where he doesn't need whatever is the hot gimmick right now to get over.

A guy like Regal did.

I actually think HHH and Evolution have breathed new life into the Eugene storyline.

Of course Eugene is going to think it was Benoit and Edge's fault for getting hit by a chair and getting speared...he's special! So this time it actually works.

Right now they've taken a very over Eugene...got him heel heat...and once Evolution turns on him he'll be even more over if it's done right. It's actually a good idea.

Did the Eugene storyline really need Triple H?

Was it dying to the point that the guy whom RAW is going to revolve around for the next 20 years was called in to "save" it?

This angle died the minute Eugene told the Rock who his favorite wrestler was.

The only Eugene segment I really enjoyed was the Eugene/Regal training sessions, other then that, I think they are kind of lame, too drawn out and just too predictable.....I have a feeling Vince is gonna go the Buh Buh Ray Dudley route with Eugene, and have him turn heel and suddenly stop being "retarded" Like it was some kind of plan all along.....I mean the "Eugene realizes the truth, and stands in Benoit's corner to watch him beat Triple H" is just TOO Richard Gere/Julia Roberts for WWE 2004. And quite frankly, that would be the dullest thing possible.

I also, see they are starting to throw out hints that Triple H's plans with Eugene is creating rifts between The rest of Evolution, so there is an outside chance that POSSIBLY, they do a double turn and Eugene is in Triple H's corner, but still jobs, and somehow Eugene turns heel, and him and Evolution beat down Triple H.....and that can set up Triple H vs. Orton at the next WM.....

My whole point is that is was a nice little angle that could keep Dinsmore, Regal and random mid-carders busy, but now because HHH is involved, it is a main event program.

And it seems to be what will be the catalyst for an Evolution breakup, which takes the whole focus off of the character Dinsmore created.

The Eugene storyline now becomes lost in Orton vs. Triple H.

Kind of how the whole Benoit winning the title got lost in HBK vs. Triple H.

I am saying that there was no need to involved Triple H in the Eugene storyline, but because he was starting getting pops, the master of the RAW universe decided to put himself in it.

And by doing this the storyline lasts about as long as a Goldberg push or a Nash push or even a Steiner push.

Eugene will eventually turn on Triple H and become just as popular as before. Don't worry smarks!

And then after that is over, he will return to the midcard and be on Heat within a month.

Working a program with HHH is like banging J Lo.

It's is fun for a while and you get all the attention and money you could want, but when she is through with you, you go back to being plain old Cris Judd.

I wish you'd get over yourself Repo.

People moan and whine when we get endless storylines with no forward planning and that make no sense. This one has. It's been played out brilliantly and is probably the smartest storyline they've had going for a good few years.

Without it, Eugene would just be doing the same old 'hilarity' he was when he arrived. Regal wouldn't be getting the reactions he is. It's added another dimension to Benoit's storyline. It's worked. And heaven forbid they try and be a little more adventurous with a storyline. Give me Benoit hates Angle because he can every day of the week, eh?

The only reason you're shitting on it is because Tripper is involved and you can't get over the prejudice towards him, which is why the majority of your opinions are so generic and predictable.

Then again, this is just general bitching.

Look at my analogy between Regal and Test. Has regal gotten any reactions since his blow-off match with HHH? Has he been seen?

I refuse to smile and eat the crap that Vince wants to feed me.

Blow-off match? The one-off match, made on the fly with Eugene as a referee on Raw that served only to develop Eugene's character?

It's been a week, and already you're implying Regal's been buried. You see what I mean about the Triple H prejudice taking over every other sentence of yours?
