Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2004 I just got to thinking last night about all the shows I've been to and made this list. WWF: The Rock winning his third WWF Title in a ladder match Chris Benoit making Billy Gunn his bitch and winning the IC Title Edge and Christian winning the tag titles (it may have been when they beat the record, too) A Hell in a Cell match (Angle retains the title against five people) WWE: Spanky's last WWE match WCW: The Giant tearing down the ring (after he pulled a lever that collapsed it) Nothing classic (or historic, really), but I just think it's neat to have been to a show where four of my favorites at the time won or retained titles. Plus The Giant tearing down the ring (complete with Scott Hall doing his impression of an extra from Earthquake) was so cheesy and lame that it had to be mentioned. So go for it. algrim 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2004 Last year, I was at Summerslam in Phoenix. I got to witness Kurt Angle retain his title against Brock in an incredible match. I also got to see Eddie do the same in that fatal four way with Benoit, Rhyno and Tajiri. Truly awesome matches.

Papacita 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2004 WWF/E: -Mind Games: HBK/Mankind. -Basically, the formation of DX (HBK and HHH teaming for the first time to face Taker and Mankind). -Taker and Kane forming the first of their 376 alliances prior to SummerSlam 98...we also got a Kane/Mankind cell match out of that show. -Don't know how historic it was, but I was at the show when then-ECW Champion Tazz challenged then-WWF Champ HHH, and then-clumsy bastard Tommy Dreamer came from the crowd and caused Tazz to lose(DAMN YOU TOMMY!). -Unforgiven 2000, with Austin's return and the Hardyz/E&C cage match. -Jeff Hardy beating HHH for the I-C Title in 01. -Rock's return to Raw in 01. Also on the show, Booker beat Angle to become the 5-TIME, 5-TIME, 5-TIME, 5-TIME, 5-TIME WCW CHAMPION! -Rumble 04. BEN-WAAAAAAAH! -I also attended what is regarded by many as the worst PPV ever in KOTR 95. WCW: -Slamboree 94. -The single WORST show I've ever been to in a house show in 97. -A Thunder in 98 that was a close runner-up to ^.

Guest ally mccoist Report post Posted July 11, 2004 The only ever Rock/RVD match. Sorry to nitpick, but i swear theres been at least 2 televised RVD/Rock matches. Theres one on a Rock DVD which took place on Raw and I remember seeing another, I think on SD, which was a hardcore match (well, there was a trash can involved in it, so im guessing here). Can't be arsed to research or anything, just thought i'd point out.

ISportsFan 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2004 I went to the RAW in Chicago where Foley had his first free TV match in over 4 years with the 8 man tag (Evolution v. Benoit/Michaels/Benjamin/Foley). Also, the RAW about a month later in Rockford where Michaels and HHH fought all night backstage and they announced the cell match. Not much, but the Foley thing was pretty cool. It was not a retirement show...it was the first WCW event in Canada though. Jacques Rougeau had a retirement show with the WWE in October 94 where he defeated Pierre Carl Ouellette and stayed retired for 2 years (my first live wrestling event ever!) Steviekick 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2004 The night Bischofff debued on Raw. Total and complete hush over the crowd. Was it a good hush or a bad hush? Somewhere in the middle. When they showed the brief clip of him backstage there wasn't much reaction, a slight booing. But when Vince brought him out and they hugged, it was more like what the hell is happening. A very bizarre hush where the audience did not know how to react.
