Though if they were looking for something to make jokes about on the last episode, the WWF during 1995 would work. They also didn't cover Friends and ER so this makes me believe that I Love the 90s will STRIKE BACK soon. It was a surprise seeing the Black Ranger and Steve Urkel, I thought both had fallen off of the face of the Earth. I mark out seeing Chris Jericho on there and he's on there more than he was on I Love the 80s so more Jericho is good.

Michael Ian Black - who I know is less-than-loved by a lot of people on this board - has been a fucking riot on these. The tangent about him being crap because he's on "VH-fucking-1" during the Reality Bites part was hilarious. And to top it off he joked about how people think he sucks when they recognize him on the street. Funny stuff.

And people can't be serious when they say that the show will talk about Montreal or Owen's death ... it's not like they talk about certain episodes of TV shows, they talk about the show in general. If they show anything to do with wrestling - and that's a big if - it'll be Leno or Malone wrestling in WCW.

They might mention the 1998 wrestling BOOM, as wrestlers were on TV Guide Covers around that time.

Not so much as a big if, they have TWO wrestlers on their show. Plus Viacom owns VH1, Spike TV and UPN. It's very probable and I think they would mention the Monday Night Wars as a whole. What about Mike Tyson appearing on WWF RAW? I remember that being a big deal.

I would imagine they'd mention Hogan's heel turn in 1996.

I think this series seems kind of rushed. Maybe when they do "I love the 90's STRIKES BACK" it'll get better. Plus, they have way more stuff to touch on.

I can't wait for that. It seems like they're only teasing with these eps, like advertising for the 'strikes back' episodes.

I thought he was quite hilarious. Especially the snappy-bracelets comments: "They're for pre-teens who are into pre-bondage." *snaps on a bracelet. pause* "Me likeeeey!"

Watching the mini-marathon right now.

Highlight of 1990: Hulk Hogan doing his best Humpty Hump impersonation.

Lowlight of 1990: Michael Ian Black. I'm so sick of him. Honorable mention goes to Jay and Silent Bob because it's a gold segment that's ruined because it seems so forced.

You guys are nuts. If anything other than kids running around in Stone Cold shirts in 97 gets coverage, I'll be amazed.

They covered Wrestlemania I on I Love the 80s, so why not cover the Wrestling Boom? It had Jay Leno, Dennis Rodman, Karl Malone and Mike Tyson involved. Hell it led to Jesse Ventura becoming Governor of Minnesota.

I'm getting really tired of the dancing baby.

Again.

That's another thing...I'm just about fully convinced that if VH1 gets their hands on anything we ever thought was funny from one of these decades, no matter HOW funny it was, they can somehow make it no longer funny after one episode of one of these series. If you watched the 93 show the other day, you'll see they did the same thing with Waldo. It was mildly clever, at best, when they stuck him in front of the burning house, but then he was in EVERY CLIP.

Yes, it seems too soon to have "I love the 90's" but I'm sure as many of us that are complaining, there were just as many clamoring for it.

Here's another question, do you think they will cover the Monday Night Wrestling Wars in 1997 or 1998? It was a big part of Americana during that period so it HAS to be on those episodes especially since they are using Hulk Hogan and Chris Jericho on their show. Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't mention WWF or WCW at all though they did mention Wrestlemania I on I Love the 80s.

Actually, if wrestling gets mentioned it will be in 1998 and tbe WWE. The WWE didn't officially hit it big again until 1998 with Austin, Undertaker, Mick Foley, and the up and coming Rock being the ones who spearheaded the company through that year....

WCW won't get mentioned if only because despite the success of the NWO and Nitro, the company self-destructed before it could fully reap the benifit of the second wrestling boom period. Plus even if they let Jericho and Hogan go at explaining and setting up the segment, they would stick in Michael Ian Black or someone else to make crack comments and mock wrestling as a whole and undermine anything Jericho or Hogan might say....

Bring back the 70's. So many memorable cheesy fades, movies, and tv shows to talk about. The 90's was a boring decade.Even the cast of regulars doesn't seem has enthused talking about Melrose Place, or the Macarena. As they would discussing Battle of the Network Stars, or ChIps.

OASIS! They ruled!

I liked Dee Sniders comment about the tamagatchi being the reason for the T-1000 and the end of the world.

I'm pretty sure that was Hal Sparks, not Dee.

Possibly. On first thinking, I thought it was Dee. Regardless, very funny.

Trey Parker is a good example of why I have no real interest to sit down and watch this series. Why have someone who actively hates the 90s... sit down and talk about it? Are VH1 going for that vibe?

This came way too soon, as there doesn't seem to be anyone who actually grew up in the decade.

It has only been eleven years, but it doesn't seem like Walter has aged. At all.
