They also didn't cover Friends and ER so this makes me believe that I Love the 90s will STRIKE BACK soon. It was a surprise seeing the Black Ranger and Steve Urkel, I thought both had fallen off of the face of the Earth. The tangent about him being crap because he's on "VH-fucking-1" during the Reality Bites part was hilarious. And to top it off he joked about how people think he sucks when they recognize him on the street. Funny stuff. And people can't be serious when they say that the show will talk about Montreal or Owen's death ... it's not like they talk about certain episodes of TV shows, they talk about the show in general. Plus, they have way more stuff to touch on. I can't wait for that. It seems like they're only teasing with these eps, like advertising for the 'strikes back' episodes. That's another thing...I'm just about fully convinced that if VH1 gets their hands on anything we ever thought was funny from one of these decades, no matter HOW funny it was, they can somehow make it no longer funny after one episode of one of these series. If you watched the 93 show the other day, you'll see they did the same thing with Waldo. It was a big part of Americana during that period so it HAS to be on those episodes especially since they are using Hulk Hogan and Chris Jericho on their show. Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't mention WWF or WCW at all though they did mention Wrestlemania I on I Love the 80s. Actually, if wrestling gets mentioned it will be in 1998 and tbe WWE. The WWE didn't officially hit it big again until 1998 with Austin, Undertaker, Mick Foley, and the up and coming Rock being the ones who spearheaded the company through that year.... WCW won't get mentioned if only because despite the success of the NWO and Nitro, the company self-destructed before it could fully reap the benifit of the second wrestling boom period. Plus even if they let Jericho and Hogan go at explaining and setting up the segment, they would stick in Michael Ian Black or someone else to make crack comments and mock wrestling as a whole and undermine anything Jericho or Hogan might say.... Why have someone who actively hates the 90s... sit down and talk about it? Are VH1 going for that vibe? This came way too soon, as there doesn't seem to be anyone who actually grew up in the decade.
