B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 7. "Operation: Mindcrime" by Queensryche I love Queensryche and all, but I'm a bit shocked that this album placed so high. Still, I'm not complaining. Ok, there's one: Empire > Operation: Mindcrime But hey, what do I know?
WrestlingFan4Ever 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Appetite for Destruction by Guns N' Roses should definitely be top 5.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 I think Back In Black is better than both Ride The Lightning and Master of Puppets.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 #1 Reign in Blood - Slayer #2 Master of Puppets - Metallica #3 Paranoid - Black Sabbath #4 Seasons in the Abyss - Slayer #5 Ride the Lightning - Metallica That would be my Top 5.
spiny norman 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 No Zeppelin in Top 25 = not a list to be taken seriously.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Worst list ever. 46. "Vol. 4" by Black Sabbath 45. "Mob Rules" by Black Sabbath Stupid, stupid, stupid. Acid Bath and Down weren't even mentioned, and neither was Nasum. This is more of the same old same old midtempo radio lovable "classic rock that really rocks" with a plethora of power metal and old school thrash nods. Everything else might've gotten a token mention to fill up space. I hate cheesy headbanger radio metyl. Slayer got dicked, Zeppelin got dicked, even Black Sabbath dicked themselves on here somehow. By far the most squirrelly hard rock/metal list I've looked at in quite some time, and considering the abundance of such things, that's pretty damn squirrelly. But hey, it's just another list. "Master of Puppets" by Metallica Well, I was close...
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Hmmm, I'll do a list completely devoid of consideration of sales figures or commercial success in anyway. That and the fact that I don't know Zeppelin and I don't know Sabbath (I've literally heard like 2 albums from both bands in my entire lifetime). ACDC has always been ass to me etc. This list will strictly be based on feeling and timeless impact that the albums have had on me. It's far from concrete, but it's a decent enough representation. of what makes me what I am today. Yes I will herald Anthems as number 1 until the day I die. 10. Dissection - Storm Of The Light's Bane 9. Darkthrone - A Blaze In The Northern Sky 8. Fear Factory - Demanufacture 7. Immortal - Sons Of Northern Darkness 6. Pantera - Vulgar Display Of Power 5. Suffocation - Pierced From Within 4. Slayer - Reign In Blood 3. Metallica - Ride The Lightning 2. Down - NOLA 1. Emperor - Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk
AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Acid Bath and Down weren't even mentioned Down had both of their albums on the list, and as far as I know nobody but you gives a shit about Acid Bath.

Red Baron 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Undertow? Aenema? Lateralus? Ya, that was quite surprising actually. Whats even better is that Dirt was higher up than Nevermind, which it should be. 2112 At 99...

Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted July 31, 2004 Guess I glossed over Down. Re: Acid Bath, I've gotten every headbanger in this place to dig them, it's just no one's heard 'em, really. Their debut would be in my top three. If I had to make a metal/hard rock list.. 9. Cryptopsy-Whisper Supremacy 6. Slayer-Seasons in the Abyss 7. Cephalic Carnage-Lucid Interval 5. Down-Nola 3. Acid Bath-When the Kite String Pops 2. Slayer-Reign in Blood 1. Black Sabbath-Black Sabbath 10. Led Zeppelin-Led Zeppelin I 4. Black Sabbath-Paranoid 8. Sepultura-Beneath the Remains The numbers are jumbled because of the differences, and judging such unalike things is silly to me, plus I've got my own set of biases.
