Downhome 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2004 Oh wow, a HUGE surprise in that The Village took a nose dive, dropping 67.3%. I can't wait untill next weeks total also for that piece of shit. The theater total for The Village actaully went UP since last week, to 3,733. No surprise here with Collateral at #1, but damn...I was hoping that it would make more than just $24.4, oh well. I expect Collateral to have legs however, very long and strong legs. Catwoman is, well, it's just being what we all knew it would be. Open Water also did well with a theater count of only 47, bringing in $1,035,000 and being #16 on the list this weekend. It averaged $22,021, and compared to the top two on this list (Collateral averaged $7,653 and The Village $4,442), that's great. 1 Collateral $24,400,000 GTD: $24,400,000 2 The Village $16,583,000 GTD: $85,727,000 3 The Bourne Supremacy $14,121,000 GTD: $124,336,000 4 The Manchurian Candidate $10,800,000 GTD: $38,509,000 5 Little Black Book $7,000,000 GTD: $7,000,000 6 I, Robot $6,300,000 GTD: $126,706,000 7 Spider-Man 2 $5,500,000 GTD: $354,570,000 8 Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle $3,200,000 GTD: $12,329,000 9 A Cinderella Story $3,045,000 GTD: $47,056,000 10 Catwoman $2,905,000 GTD: $36,070,000 Sincerely, ...Downhome... Vyce 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 Nice to see The Bourne Supremacy doing well. Finally saw it this weekend. Awesome movie. Christ, this and the first movie have actually made me a Matt Damon fan, and it makes me want to see him in more action films. It's a goddamn shame that Affleck is the one who gets cast in everything, but I suppose that's because Matt doesn't pick every shitty script that's thrown his way. Although I must say, no matter how much a Damon fanboy I may now become, I am NOT going to see Ocean's Twelve, because not even I can stomach two hours of George Clooney. I think it made back it's money though, so get ready for a cult DVD classic, I suppose. Catwoman's made about $36 million more than it deserves...

starvenger 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 Did you hear about Sharon Stone blaming Bush for not allowing her to have an on-screen kiss with Berry?... Personally, I'd blame NippleGate for that one, but hey, blame whoever you need to - I may hate on the movie, but I can't argue with women kissing each other... kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2004 Here's the source for my last post. Yeah, yeah, yeah, OMG WASHINGTON TIMES LOL2004 get over it. (If you're not a CE regular don't ask.) Link... Actress Sharon Stone says a puritanical streak running through America created by President Bush prevented her from kissing Halle Berry in the newly released film "Catwoman," WorldNetDaily.com reports. Miss Stone, 46, wanted to enjoy a lesbian moment with her co-star, but the current conservative climate in the country just wouldn't allow it, she concluded, according to Ireland Online. "Halle's so beautiful, and I wanted to kiss her. I said, 'How can you have us in the movie and not have us kiss? That's such a waste,' " she said. "That's what you get for having George Bush as president."
