Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 does anyone else find the subtle humor in a common street thug, one who doesn't have a lot of common sense it seems, being able to operate any vehicle imaginable with the greatest of ease?

AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2004 When your doing the flying school and you get your license after the third one do you have to complete the rest to do do more missions for Tarino? I think so. But if you don't finish them, and go bugger around awhile, you should get some fuckin' funny phone calls.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 OMG Supply Lines is the worst mission ever. It literally took me at least 40 tries to beat it and over a week of gameplay. Last night I kinda lucked out. I have the controls almost mastered (although the plane handles terribly) my strategy wasto get the van at the start then go after the bike guy, find the other van with the guys who shoot at you and get that (I did it by landing and runnin right into their front wheel and just start blasting (itll take 10 secs tops) then I got the two peeps on the motorcycle by flying behind them and just blasting (as long as you stay even with them you can get it done) I flew toward the next guy (as one of the faqs on gamefaqs said-if you have half a tank of feul after the first 3 kills you all but have this one in the bag) then I got the last van pretty quickly but it took forevere for me to get back to zeros roof, I musta landed with 5 secs of feul left. Damn that was hard. Should've just skipped it. I just beat the game. That's the only mission I couldn't do. Great last mission. I starting to bitch around San Fierro because I wanted to go back and take over gangs instead of doing random shit jobs for people. But it got better around the flying missions and working for Tereno. I loved all the stats and having to eat and being able to swim and how big the city was. Easily the best GTA game. Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2004 Man, the rocket pack makes it so much easier to get around. Just strap it on, look at the map, and head in a straight line to where you need to go. Fantastic.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2004 I find it more ironic that pretty much all the vehicles parked on the street can be opened with ease without any alarms. Im still in SF just beat Jizzys ist mission, should I do wuzis or conitnue with jizzy? btw Charlie Murphy as Jizzy is awesome. BEST CAMEO EVER
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 11, 2004 God I need this game. I'm still playing Vice City. How long does it take to make the lead character a giant fat ass? When I do get the game I'd like to make him a lardo that can only manage to do drive-bys.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2004 God I need this game. I'm still playing Vice City. How long does it take to make the lead character a giant fat ass? When I do get the game I'd like to make him a lardo that can only manage to do drive-bys. About 10 minutes. If you eat 10 hamburgers, then he throws up. You have to leave and go back in. Eat 10 more hamburgers, throw up again. Keep doing it. Forget about Vice City.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Forget about Vice City. Right now its the best and most fun game I've played in a long time. I'll be keeping it long after I beat it so I can get 100% and build a massive empire.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2004 Two questions: I finished up Los Santos and found myself out in the countryside. I thought maybe I was allowed into San Fierro now so I took a plane there, but apparently I was only allowed in the back country area because the 4 star warning still came up. Funny thing about that, when my plane crashed, I spawned at a SF Hospital and proceeded to tour the entire city without problem. Should that have been possible? 2nd, although I'll find out for myself soon enough, are the Trucker missions optional or story? I found the mandatory one with Catilina that opens them up a pain in the ass (the tanker kept coming off anytime I slightly missed a turn or used the breaks) so if the missions from there are similar, I'll pass for now. LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2004 Trucker = optional.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2004 Alright. I already have $7.3 million from betting on the ponies so side missions to make money aren't of interest to me at the moment (although I did do one "Stop the Courier" mission when Caeser called, just to see what it was all about). DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 So I finally got to experience the "Farewell, My Love" mission everyone had so much trouble with last month... yeah, I'm pretty much having a bitch of a time with it too. The thing is I usually spin my car out of control no more than 35 seconds into the race, get pissed, and blow up my car to start over. One time I was doing really good, but it was only my 2nd time through the whole track (due to the mentioned impaticne with crappy driving early on) and I forgot where a checkpoint was, assumed it was on a dirt road like most were, headed up a hill and towards the light, found out the hard way it was on the lower road as my car sailed into the river. I was pissed.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 MY FUCKING SAVE IS GONE!? Yea..has this happened to anyone else? (Who hasn't played that Holiday 2004 demo) I had two diff saves, and the other day I started a new game. Then, yesterday when trying to play my third save...it kept saying load failed. That was the new game so I didn't really care, then, I just deleted it. And now, I just tried to play, and when I started the game...it starts with the opening cutscene!? I then tried to load my second file (The one with EVERYTHING) and it says the same thing that the other one said, and it won't load?? But the first one works..And I dont know why all of a sudden it's just saying Load Failed! Check memory card
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 That happened to me once a few years ago with a PS1 memory card (on a PS2) when trying to load whatever Final Fantasy it is that came with the Crono Trigger. Somehow every save for it got corrupted, not sure how. Nothing like that has happened with me on PS2. Did you have any cheats? Also, I got through F,ML fairly easily... I guess the key is to not try. Trying leads to failure, while driving along at a decent pace and not bothering with shortcuts was an easy victory.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 I'd just like to reiterate my opinion that Wuzie is one of the best supporting characters in a game this year (at least). Don't really have any game stuff since I beat it a while back and went to work on KOTOR 2 (just beat it this morning on light side), but just had to interject. Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2004 Here's a question - can you drive a combine harvester after you've done the mission where you have to steal one? There's one in a field near the abandoned airstrip, but it's always locked. Has anyone been able to find one to take for a spin? EDIT: I meant to say "near the location for the trucking missions", not near the airstrip.

Angel_Grace_Blue 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2004 Okay, I'm a lazy cheater-type and I haven't been doing too much mission-wise (I stopped before Tagging Up Turf just so I can have food and not die), and I was wondering if you could tell me where the 2-Player spots are in Los Santos. The one in Pershing Square is easy enough to find, and the one in Dillimore isn't hard to locate either, but I saw in a FAQ that there's one in Idlewood and one in Montgomery.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2004 The one in Idlewood is close to your house. Take the drive by your house that cuts to the street behind your house, take a right. Go past the bridge it should be right there on your right (IIRC, there's some kind of pickup in the driveway). Looking at where you are in the game you may not be able to access it yet though. I don't know about Montgomery. Never really paid much attention to the 2 player spots.
Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2004 Any tips on the Flying school? I'm stuck at the circling the airfield- eitehr I miss the checkpoint, or I'm to out of controll.
AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2004 One thing that slipped me up with the flying was not putting my landing gear up right away. I'd keep stalling before hitting the first checkpoint. Otherwise, get used to the controls enough that you're gradually circling around through the checkpoints, without jerking the plane around too much. It requires really light movements on the stick for the mostpart. Keep the plane tilted slightly in the direction you're going, and adjust with the stick, or the L/R2 buttons to hit the checkpoints. It does take a bit of practice. I spent a long time getting gold on the circling mission, then even longer on the circle and land one.
Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 How the hell do I recruit gang memebers for the second to last mission?
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2005 Get close to them, then target them. Push the control pad right to respond favorably to them, and if you have enough respect, they should join you.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2005 So I've got an important question: what do you all find are the best ways of making CJ look like Mr. T? The Mohawk/Beard haircut and the Cuban chain are obvious, but I've just gotten into the San Fierro missions and I still can't find quite the right shirt. The denim jacket at Zip is pretty good, but nothing's quite enough like the classic denim vest. He may have to be a shirtless T.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2005 Sorry, the Shaft look's the only way to go as far as I'm concerned. CJ would just be gay without an afro and aviators.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2005 Black khakis, a bowling shirt, and one of the close-cut hairdos like the Cesar or high fade makes for an excellent early 90s Dr. Dre.
Angel_Grace_Blue 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2005 And there's no point in trying to get him to look like Easy E, since that character exists as Ryder. I really should give CJ pink hair, the leopard print cowboy hat, the heart print boxers, and maybe sandals and socks, and that's it and let him run around town. What about making CJ fat with a bald head. I want Al Roker out there poppin' caps, damn it!

I did that mission last night and found it quite easy really, got it on the third go after I managed to get all the other racers to fly off the side of a ridge into the river I guess after the first bridge.
