Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2004 ummm...one thing I can tell you is fuel doesn't = fuel...it equals time. So if you're one that likes...doesn't press X much because you will burn up more fuel..that's not the case. Instead it's like 5 minutes I think, or something around that. So...go full speed the whole time. And as for pattern...get the two closest to you of course, then the one that's going off by itself. and then, (I don't remember if this is what I did or not) but when you start going to the right get the one that went the furthest, and get the other as you're coming back. The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 INSANE. I was just doing the "Key to Her Heart" mission after completing the first Heist mission. Now, in my instruction guide, it says that this mission is only open after you complete Misappropriations and Freefall. I have not. I thought that was odd, but I continued, hoping I wouldn't go to start the mission and it would freeze up on me. It didn't. So, I followed Millie to the Sex Shop, went inside and wore the Gimp suit. I came out, it told me to follow her, went to a cut scene of what I thought was her about to pull out of the entrance, until something off screen took out a lamp post a bit back. I found it strange, but I assumed it was just a crazy driver. Then, still in the cut scene, we see some kamikaze pilot JUST FLYING HIS PLANE INTO HER. OH MY CHRIST. Heart attack. I had to press the X button to leave the scene, otherwise it would have continued going. We see a fire truck putting out the flames that this random plane caused. It says "You killed the Croupier" and I failed the mission. Weirdest thing ever. I saved after and it worked, so I'll try this again later to see if it produces the same results. By the way, is there any stores you can enter like the XXX Shop that don't show up on the radar? I'm looking for Didier Sachs, namely.

Guest Shutterspeed Report post Posted November 20, 2004 That's where I'm at right now...you guys are right, Catalina fucking sucks and from what I have heard she only gets worse! I'm stuck on the mission where you have to chase the 3 assholes on 4 wheelers...I've finished her other missions... Oddly enough, that mission can be difficult but I always know that I'll finish it. Some of the guys will often slow down and give you a chance, as though they want you to kill them. Just try and make sure there's only, I think, one guy that reaches home at the most, because when he gets there, he'll get off his Odyssey and shoot at you, giving you the chance to do likewise and kill him instantly. Just keep close to them, and when one slows down for whatever reason, straighten up and let Catalina get him. Don't you bother shooting, because you'll probably miss and it's just a waste of ammunition.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 I just beat it without any problems so apparently it was a once in a lifetime jihading. Still don't understand the strategy guide thing, though.

We chased them by sadly we fell into the water, being lazy I got out of the water then used the blow up cars cheat to kill the guys and went and found and picked up the briefcases, so sue me in the rob the track mission I fell into water again and got lost from catalina. apprantly she stayed in place surrounded by cops till i finally got there 10- 15 mins later and I kiled them and beat the mission I finally got to san fierro, have yet to beat any missions, tried the first CJ mission but failed it when my car blew up. I'm in awe of the artististic design of this game. San fierro looks great, alot like the real san francisco. and the trolley cars, are a nice touch. but can you ride them or jack them? whenever I try I get run over by them. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2004 On the mission where you have to chase that pimp guy Jizzy, are you supposed to ram his car until it gets on fire and then he gets out, or are you just supposed to follow him until he eventually parks somewhere and gets out? I know you have to have his phone or something to beat the mission so the blow up all cars cheat won't help......lol.

Kill him, take the phone, and answer the cell.

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2004 Ok now I am desperate. Anyone have any techniques they can share for the toy airplane/kill courier(s) mission? A couple of times I have managed to kill the all the couriers, but I do it with my fuel tank on empty and pretty much immediately fall out of the sky afterwards. Is there some pattern to kill them where I don't end up having to fly across town to get two of the couriers?

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2004 I got up to Misappropriation and put it aside for the shooters. I may go back in a few weeks (out of town next week) but I basically couldn't put up with the helicopter chase. It sent me out over the no-fly zone by accident and I got shot down. LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2004 yeah, but I suck at driving. and my car handles like shit. It can be frustrating. The trick is to just drive slowly. The other drivers also drive like shit, so as long as you don't make a lot of mistakes you're ok. It's pretty managable once you know the course and drive slow. Da Maintenance Man 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 Ok now I am desperate. Anyone have any techniques they can share for the toy airplane/kill courier(s) mission? Then go after the other ones. Just try to get the controls down pat and if you have good aim with the machine guns try swooping the plane down and just unloading on the couriers instead of swooping down, trying to get right behind them. Hope that helped.
AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2004 I just spent about 5 hours obtaining the Hunter by getting gold on all the flying school missions, then doing 70 levels of Brown Thunder, racking up about 700 kills and $5.6 million. One thing that bugged me was that I only ever had 3 wanted stars, and the single police chopper chasing me at any time was a puss. I probably took down 30 of them. I kind of wanted the fighter jets to come after me, like they did when I took off in a private jet from LS airport with 5 stars. On the subject of the fighter jet, does anyone know how to fly it during the Military Service checkpoint race, which you get to at LV airport?
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 I've noticed there's a lot of things going on the air lately (when they're used to be none). Is there some storyline reason for this that my character is currently oblivious to? I'm still in LS with missions to do (been busy and haven't had a lot of time to play lately), but after completing all of Tenpennys missions I noticed that I'd see choppers randomly circling around every now and then, and one time I was just walking around and a plane crashed into the street. It was pretty weird.
Guest Pariah Report post Posted December 2, 2004 Why can't you replay missions in San Andreas? I don't know, but it annoys the hell out of me. So I, along with my MaxDrive set out to change that. http://www.maximumhomepage.com/gta/ ---- Yeah, so if you've been playing the game and want to redo one of the missions go to the site and download the save files, everything you need to know and need is mentioned on the site. So go do it
The Ill One 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2004 Man flying school is a total bitch. Oh and quick, not-quite-related question. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2004 OMG Supply Lines is the worst mission ever. It literally took me at least 40 tries to beat it and over a week of gameplay. Last night I kinda lucked out. I have the controls almost mastered (although the plane handles terribly) my strategy wasto get the van at the start then go after the bike guy, find the other van with the guys who shoot at you and get that (I did it by landing and runnin right into their front wheel and just start blasting (itll take 10 secs tops) then I got the two peeps on the motorcycle by flying behind them and just blasting (as long as you stay even with them you can get it done) I flew toward the next guy (as one of the faqs on gamefaqs said-if you have half a tank of feul after the first 3 kills you all but have this one in the bag) then I got the last van pretty quickly but it took forevere for me to get back to zeros roof, I musta landed with 5 secs of feul left. Damn that was hard. I tried to go after the couriers that cesar called about but I got lost and wound up back in LS. I coudnt remember where to get back so I went to the airport and took the plane ride back to SF (thats a pretty cool touch) damn and michelle is never home I went on one date and she hasnt been there in like 3 days, do I need to get fatter or somethin cuz I know she likes the husky guys lol. Man I have had this game for over a month and am not even 50 percent done with it. Thats great@!!!! I just wish R* would stop putting extremely hard missions in the middle of the game
