therealworldschampion Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Ever since I turned 21,I've suprisingly cut down on drinking hard liquor and have mostly drank beer. I'm also for some reason acquring a taste for Coors when it comes to cheap beers. So what's everyone's favorite beer? Mine are: Yuengling(Great stuff that isn't real expensive) Samuel Adams Bass Ale
Guest ally mccoist Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Stella, but I don't think you get it in America.
Guest Snaffler Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Carlsberg Export or Kozel. Stella gives me a headache!
eiker_ir Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Polar Ice it's the most popular around here and my favorite. Tastes quite good if i'm chewing a Trident while drinking it too.
Corey_Lazarus Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Only beer I've ever liked was Corona.
Lord of The Curry Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Guiness Extra Stout. Nectar of the Gods.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Stella, but I don't think you get it in America. Sure you do. If Canada gets it, America gets it.
Guest Vitamin X Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Definitely Rolling Rock, no question about it. Followed by Presidente and Corona. I'm also partial to Miller when it comes to domestic beers. Coors is WAY too watery, and Bud is ok but really bland and generic. I tend to prefer lighter beers over darker ones, and I've found in my experience that light drinkers prefer Coors, lager/light beer drinkers drink Miller, and ale/dark beer drinkers drink Bud.
Guest T®ITEC Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Miller actually disgusts me, somehow. Of the few beers I've tried, I liked Bud Light the best. Then there's all the bitch beers that taste like fruit. I fuckin' love those.
1234-5678 Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Guiness Extra Stout. Nectar of the Gods. Too thick dude, and I love drinking. 1. Dos Equis 2. Tecate 3. Molson XXX
tommytomlin Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 What does American Beer and making love in a boat have in common? They're both fucking close to water! BAM! And Tooheys Extra Dry is the best beer.
Guest Billy Stark Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Desperados, Hoegarden are favourite beers, but I'm more of a cider man. Strongbow, Dry Blackthorn or mmmmm Magners.
Ace309 Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Sierra Nevada Porter. Nice, beefy dark beer. Current runners-up: - Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout - Unibroue Ephemere summer apple brew
nl5xsk1 Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Favorite is Sam Smith's Taddy Porter or Oatmeal Stout. I don't drink them too often, though, but only for the occasional treat. If I'm buying beer for home, I'll buy either Stella, Boddington's or Pilsner Urquell. If I'm at a bar, I normally get either MGD or High Life.
JangoFett4Hire Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Let's see: Redhook Blonde Magic Hat #9 Sam Adams Boston Ale Smithwick's Harpoon Summer Harpoon IPA Guiness Bass Belhaven Scottish Ale Guys, do yourselves a favor. Weed out the Miller/Bud/Coors shit. If you're going to kill your liver, do it with quality.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Sierrea Nevada Pale Ale Guinness Pilsner Urquell Almaza Harp Those are the usual favorites. Lately, I've been enjoying this Sea Dog's Raspberry Wheat Ale. I do not normally go for fruit-flavored beers, but man oh man is that stuff delicious. They also have it blueberry and peach; the former is decent and the latter I have yet to try. I've been a beer snob for the longest time, though lately I've found that Bud—as long as it's from the tap—is a suitable alternative if I'm at a bar and I don't feel like spending much money.
JangoFett4Hire Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 there's a bar near me in Allston, Ma called the Sunset Grille and Tap. They have 185 taps and 400 beers overall. It's insane. I like to laugh at people that go in there and order a Bud.
Vampiro69 Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 The main beers that I drink !. Michelob Light 2. Aspen Edge -Surprising not that bad 3. PBR cheap and tasty, great for fishing 4. Labatt Blue I am in College and can't afford the expensive stuff
1234-5678 Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 Yeah Aspen Edge is definitely good for one of those low carb pussy beers.
NoCalMike Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 Guiness(but you HAVE to be in the mood for the thick beer) Newcastle - fav brown ale Rolling Rock St. Polly Girls - similar to henekin, but better IMO Maudite - for when I want to get drunk, fast and taste isn't a consideration
Guest Vitamin X Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 Maudite - for when I want to get drunk, fast and taste isn't a consideration Pfft, for that I'll down a couple Steel Reserve's.
Guest KJ Brackish Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 My favs are; Bud Light and Tecate (hit me hard and hit me strong :-D) I don't really drink beer too often, it's all about the hard al-key-hol. KJ EDIT: Oh yeah, and I like bitch beers (e.g. Bacardi Silver - RAZ and Regular). Those are my favs
NoCalMike Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 Only beer I've ever liked was Corona. Corona is sooooo highschool.......
NoCalMike Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 We should have a "Recommend Beer for those that don't like Beer" My first answer would be Dox Equis(brown bottle) with a wedge of lime. I have watched so many people that despise beer, take a liking to this concoction, including chicks that wouldn't even touch the likes of Corona.
Black Lushus Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 not a fan of dark beer and too much of a cheapskate for imported stuff so: Miller Lite-what I usually get when I'm buying for the night. Bud Light-what my buddies tend to get when they're buying for the night. Busch Light-this is always on sale and it's what i stock my fridge up with. 12 bucks for a 24 pack? fo sho! Keystone Light-my dad always gets this so I drink it with him when I'm over at his house... EDIT: has anyone tried that Red Stripe beer yet? From what I understand it's been around for a long time but is only now getting recognition...
haVoc Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 I'm also partial to Miller when it comes to domestic beers. Coors is WAY too watery, and Bud is ok but really bland and generic. Coors Original isn't watery or light at all. It's not thick by any means, but it's pretty filling.... and my favorite beer. Followed by Sam Adams.
