There are a fair share of people who automatically write off movies that are:

2) In another language and require English subtitles

3) Silent films

That's a fair judgement for them to make. If those things make them dislike a movie, I'd think they'd be able to accurately tell whether they will like one based on such. Also, silent movies are generally black and white also, plus you have to read them. What an unpleasant experience for such an individual.

I kept razzing on Gigli with friends all of last summer, so of course when it finally came out on DVD, of course I saw it.

 

Worst movie ever. It even tops this AWFUL Meat Loaf stalker movie I saw once. I can't believe it graced my Playstation 2.

I know alot of people who refuse to watch LotR movies. "I am not into that wizard and dragon stuff", is a common line. I guess I was the same way before I saw Felloship.
