I want the Yankees to lose but at the same time it's not really worth the Yankees spending 300 million on next year's team.

Heh. I'm waiting until the offseason before I resurrect my Yankees rant post from last year's World Series thread (which was dead on, BTW).

The bitterness is scary.

HOW'S THE VIEW FROM MY NUTS, AngleSault!?!?

Perhaps I missed "Red Sox take the lead"

No, not yet.

This game was scripted.

Perfect set up for the Hero to come in and shut the door on Boston.

"What a spectacular performance by the grieving mariano Rivera, he really is the heart and soul of the New York Yankees."

Superman died this week...itd be more fitting for Mariano to choke...

Probably not gonna happen though.

I'm sorry AS. It was inappropriate of me to put my balls right in your face.

I apologize.

When the Yankees needed an insurance run, Jeter's groundout was CLUTCH~! Oh well, perhaps his mere presence will inspire his teammates to greatness.

You can feel the bitterness.

I really couldn't take Fox cutting to him over and over in the 1st inning and just gushing over him fielding a routine groundball.

The fun of rooting against the Yankees is really gone though. What's the point when they'll just spend an extra hundred million next year?
