CBright7831 Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 New Osama Tape: Bush, Kerry Can't Protect You Al-Jazeera Airs Videotape by Bin Laden CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - The Arab television station Al-Jazeera aired a video of Osama bin Laden on Friday directly admitting for the first time that he carried out the Sept. 11 attacks and promising to outline ``the best way to avoid another Manhattan.'' It was the first footage of the al-Qaida leader to surface in more than a year. The video showed bin Laden in traditional white robes, a turban and a cloak reading from papers and standing in front of a plain, brown cloth background. ``We decided to destroy towers in America,'' bin Laden said. He said the attack was carried out because ``we are a free people ... and we want to regain the freedom of our nation.'' He also accused President Bush of ``misleading'' the American people three years since the 2001 suicide airline hijackings that hit the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon. http://cnn.netscape.cnn.com/news/story.jsp.../1616252634.htm
edotherocket Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 This is an interesting thing to pop up before an election. I wonder how Bush and Kerry will address this.
AndrewTS Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 This is an interesting thing to pop up before an election. I wonder how Bush and Kerry will address this. Kerry: "He outsourced the operation...blah blah." Bush: "Aw, shit."
snuffbox Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 This is meaningless...Bush has already stated that he doesnt care about this Bin Laden guy.
Highland Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Apparently he watched F9/11. One of Bush's campaign managers (sarcastically) congratulated Moore for giving comfort to the enemy.
Guest INXS Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Who is this Bin Laden guy? Everyone knows that Saddam was behind 9/11.
Vern Gagne Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 This will certainly help Bush. Every poll shows Bush is trusted with Security and Terror by an overwhelming majority of the public. Having this "monkey" put down the commander in chief isn't going to fly with public. After all we're not Spain.
Guest INXS Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 I'm waiting to see how both camps spin this...

Personally, I think its time to focus on Cheech Marin.
Guest SP-1 Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 Who is this Bin Laden guy? Everyone knows that Saddam was behind 9/11. Out of everything else that everyone else has mocked you for, THIS takes the cake. Your ignorance is duly noted.

I'm John Kerry, and I approve this ad. Seriously though, the guy is living in caves and will have to the rest of his life. I know he's still a threat, but is anyone really worried?
Guest Cerebus Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 The funny thing is I could see this speech come out of Michael Moore's fat mouth. P.S. I just noticed INXS's new avatar...COINCIDENCE?~!

Must be a pretty fancy cave...seeing as how hes able to shoot videos and get them released. I think we should try to find Harry Chapin. We already got Cat Stevens...hmmm I wonder what James Taylor is up to.

Rob E Dangerously Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 This will certainly help Bush. Every poll shows Bush is trusted with Security and Terror by an overwhelming majority of the public. Being reminded that Osama bin Laden is still alive after 3 years on the run is supposed to help Bush? Osama bin Laden is an egomaniac. Basically he wants to screw with our election. In the scheme of things, Osama wins if you let his reappearance influence your vote. Osama wins if you intrepret his words and change your vote to go against one candidate (Bush or Kerry). Fuck Osama He won't change my vote Will you let him change your vote? He won't change my mind Having this "monkey" put down the commander in chief isn't going to fly with public. Osama is doing what some call "trolling" After all we're not Spain. The difference between this tape and what happened in Spain is that the Spanish were attacked and he's just releasing a tape to us at the moment. I don't see a clear connection between killing hundreds of people and bashing the President. In conclusion, Fuck Osama
Guest INXS Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 I agree, fuck him. How would anyone here prefer to kill him? I'd personally prefer to kick him to death.
BUTT Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 Well, I guess this puts an end to the dumbass theory that Bush would "suddenly" catch bin Laden right before the election. Seriously though, the guy is living in caves and will have to the rest of his life. I know he's still a threat, but is anyone really worried? If we just let bin Laden go, it will send a message to other terrorists that their crimes against the U.S. will go unpunished. Don't you think the man who had 3,000 people killed deserves to be punished?
Rob E Dangerously Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 I agree, fuck him. How would anyone here prefer to kill him? I'd personally prefer to kick him to death. I'm not sure on the specific methods, but his corpse would end up being displayed like Mussolini's was. When it comes to finishing off OBL. The sooner, the better. Well, I guess this puts an end to the dumbass theory that Bush would "suddenly" catch bin Laden right before the election. Right now, there's probably a better shot of an OBL capture on January 20th than by November 2nd If we just let bin Laden go, it will send a message to other terrorists that their crimes against the U.S. will go unpunished. Don't you think the man who had 3,000 people killed deserves to be punished? I'm concerned about finding him and finishing him off. I know there's a shot that he could be martyred by his crazy followers. But then again, there's no real way to get him without somebody claiming that bullshit.
Guest INXS Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 Well, I guess this puts an end to the dumbass theory that Bush would "suddenly" catch bin Laden right before the election. Wouldn;t it be something if after this tape, Bin Laden is caught?
AndrewTS Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 I agree, fuck him. How would anyone here prefer to kill him? I'd personally prefer to kick him to death. Why kill him? He'd be a martyr. Make him serve hard labor until he dies in captivity.

I'll bring a dictionary to point out just how he isn't.
CBright7831 Posted October 30, 2004 Author Report Posted October 30, 2004 Electoral Vote Predictor 2004: Kerry 236 ; Bush 281 Well, Osama helped Bush...today at least.

Out of everything else that everyone else has mocked you for, THIS takes the cake. Your ignorance is duly noted. Saddam wasn't behind 9/11, but Cheney managed to insert enough innuendos in his speeches that people start to actually believe that he was. Further, bin Laden was scarcely mentioned in the news in the past year.
Rob E Dangerously Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 Electoral Vote Predictor 2004: Kerry 236 ; Bush 281 Well, Osama helped Bush...today at least. E-V.com's polls are up in the morning that map was up long before OBL's video
bobobrazil1984 Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 Look at that, the fuckwad resurfaces! I'd like to think most Americans aren't gonna be swayed by his ugly mug. If the election suddenly tips heavily in polls tomorrow and sunday either way, I'll actually be dissapionted... that would mean Osama Bin Laden actually has powers to sway our election.
Styles Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 Depressing news to see he's alive and apparently well, but all he's doing is reminding us of what we're out there fighting for. Bush should get a late bump from this, since he's perceieved as the "stronger" one. Kerry will have to tread lightly... Oh, and yeah, I noticed INXS's "new" avatar as well....VERY interesting....
