who the fuck in WWE country besides London, Hurricane, and Funaki could take the C4?

RVD I guess.

Ok fine, probably most of the SD! 6 from back in the day. But I'm talking Raw, today. Which of the hosses can take it? None?

They wouldn't put him on Raw, I don't think. He wouldn't "fit" with the roster, at least to the WWE standards. Like I said, he would end up being a cruiserweight killer and could very well be a decent edition to the US division.

If you actually look at the bump that Burchill's opponent takes during the C4, it's not actually that hard - just a front flip onto your back. I'd go so far as to say that virtually the entire roster would be able to take it. And I don't see any reason that the WWE would make Burchill lose the rolling samoan drop either. It's the air raid crash that will definitely go, probably along with the SSSP sadly. Still, I'm definitely interested to see what comes of all this.

edotherocket - are you saying the Lesnar didn't live up to the hype? Were you genuinely disappointed with how he turned out?

Ok so I've waited ages for the .zip to download; I open it; I get sound; but I get no fuckin video. Someone please help a poor dial-up user.

Eh, maybe download the latest Codec or something.

No. I think Lesnar turned into a great wrestler and Smackdown really went down the crapper when he left.

But he certainly didn't come through with the hype specifically for his SSP though. I remember people kept predicting different events where they thought he'd finally debut it.

Burchill looks awesome and has some cool spots but will he be allowed to do even half the moves in that set of videos? I doubt it. And if he has an average moveset outside of his spots, then there wouldn't be much to differentiate him from the other hosses out there unless he gets mic time or vignettes to develop him into a unique character.

Im gutted, Ive been a fan of Burchill for ages now and love seeing him live for the FWA, and as for him being the next A-Train, no fucking chance, this guy is literally phenomenal, there is no chance in hell Vince can fuck up Birchall, and I can be quoted on that

I've seen him wrestle some non-squash matches and I consider him a solid worker.

I'd also add that I've met him several times and he's a genuinely nice person without any sort of ego.

Cheers.

Birchill is a great wrestler, I've had the pleasure of watching him live before and will see him in his last FWA appearance (At a guess, I haven't heard whether it is or not, or whether he'll be there) tomorrow at British Uprising III. Hopefully the WWE don't completely ruin his style, I wouldn't expect him to debut anytime soon though, he isn't defined enough to come across as a monster in WWE terms, he isn't exactly tall enough either.

only Rob Brookside got a dark match (and a missed opportunity, if they'd gone for Brookside v Regal...)

Unfortunately Robbie Brookside sucks arse. Unless he's improved DRAMATICALLY in the last year or so (or he just couldn't give a fuck about doing anything decent when i saw him).

Hey don't be saying anything bad about Robbie B, he beat Chris Jericho once >_>

But yeah, I don't think he's actually made an effort in a match for about two years, its why the FWA stopped booking him a while back so I heard

Brookside isn't bad, he's just from a different era (dying days of ITV mid-morning wrestling) and is hardly a spring chicken anymore. He can still get under the skin of a crowd like a maestro and is the closest thing the British wrestling scene has to an active living legend, so I've still got a soft spot for him.

It will be his last - FWA put a release on their website confirming he would be in the six man, and that it would be his last show.

Where the hell does this idea come from that OVW ruins promising talent?

All the OVW duds SUCKED BEFORE THEY WENT TO OVW! Tomko and Morgan and Jones aren't indicative of anything because they were only signed due to size and showed no promise before OVW. You can't get gold out of shit, ya know?

If Burchill really has it and is more than just a freakish spot machine then he'll make it. If he tops out at indy spots then he won't. In the long run OVW will have little to do with his eventual success or failure.

If anyone will neuter his style and make him a generic big it will be the WWE's agents.
