claydude14 Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Oh shit they deliver on the big 5 poster again. The Suvivor Series anime one was cool, I might actually buy this Rumble poster on shopzone. This poster confirms Batista won't be main eventing New Year's Revolution.
Only The Strong Survive Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Looks like Batista in line for that monster push everyone wants him to get. Orton was on the Vengeance poster before winning the title. I like the poster just the same. That Rumble poster is kind of cool but also sort of... lame. The slogan is definitely the lame part.
iliketurtles Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 West Side? What about all us folk on the East Side?
notJames Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 You didn't have an award-winning musical named after you. Very clever poster. I approve. And not just because I love West Side Story. Okay, that's really the only reason.
The Czech Republic Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Why not combine them? bah-tees-taaaaaah! I Just met a man named bah-tees-tah....
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 If the commercial for that isn't all the wrestlers dancing and signing, and then the one guy who is completely confused (ala Norm McDonald in the SNL sketch), then this company is truly in the shitter.
Guest Fook_Theta Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Anyone else got a hardon for Asai vs Big Dave? It would be strange to see Batista put over Asai, but it would give him even more credibilty and buildup to Batista vs HHH.
geniusMoment Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Who is asai? And what the fuck is that thing after Royal Rumble, it looks like something from the game shoots and ladders.
Guest Trivia247 Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Notice that there isn't a Smackdown logo on there but just Raw's
Guest LooneyTune Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Are we talking about Asai as in Ultimo Dragon...or someone I have no clue about?
Guest Duncan Eternia Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Notice that there isn't a Smackdown logo on there but just Raw's There are no logos other that the main WWE one on the rumble poster. The other is a RAW-only PPV. Or am I missing something?
Slickster Posted December 2, 2004 Author Report Posted December 2, 2004 Notice that there isn't a Smackdown logo on there but just Raw's There are no logos other that the main WWE one on the rumble poster. The other is a RAW-only PPV. Or am I missing something? Probably saw the 'WEST SIDE' as the RAW logo.
Slickster Posted December 2, 2004 Author Report Posted December 2, 2004 Are we talking about Asai as in Ultimo Dragon...or someone I have no clue about? Yes, we mean Ultimo Dragon.
Slickster Posted December 2, 2004 Author Report Posted December 2, 2004 If the commercial for that isn't all the wrestlers dancing and signing, and then the one guy who is completely confused (ala Norm McDonald in the SNL sketch), then this company is truly in the shitter. Well, I know that it's at least half-true.
SamoaRowe Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 ::Marks out for the awesome Batista poster!:: ::Takes a few minutes and then marks out again for the Royal Rumble poster!:: West Side Story is probably my second or third favorite musical ever

notJames Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 …what the fuck is that thing after Royal Rumble, it looks like something from the game shoots and ladders. It's a stylized fire escape. Perhaps this will help put the pieces together for you. So No-Longer-Ulitmo Asai is coming back for another go? Have a nice trip, see you in the fall.
Guest Fook_Theta Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 It is only a pipe dream, admittingly. It would be an excellent tie-in, especially if next year is the year of the Dragon. Asai has been back stage at both Raw and I believe Smackdown talking about a return.

To Vince, Asai is just another little Japanese cruiserweight.
The Niggardly King Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Isn't that dragon Batista's back tattoo?
DrVenkman PhD Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 First thing I thought of with the Rumble poster was Donkey Kong. That's always good.
Fökai Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Isn't that dragon Batista's back tattoo? Yes, but the meaning of the dragon flew over the heads of everyone else.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 First thing I thought of with the Rumble poster was Donkey Kong. That's always good. Maybe that means a return for Brock Lesnar!
The Amazing Rando Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 It's good to see Jeff Hardy's flailing body on a WWE poster again!! Notice him about to perform the sloppy Swanton above Chris Jericho, who is hauntingly standing at the bottom of the ladder (as always). See: THAT is reading too much into things.
Guest netslob Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 how sad is it when the creative team has to steal event names from XPW?
AndrewTS Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 So NYR is going to be sponsored by a new MK game and RR is going to be sponsored by a Donkey Kong game?
Guest Reservoir_Kitty Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 The Batista poster is fan-freaking-tastic. If I didn't hate show exclusive PPVs, I'd order that one to support its tasty posterboy. The Royal Rumble poster is surprisingly clever. Too bad the show probably won't be. They wasted all their creativity on the poster; the show is doomed.
Placebo Effect Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Looks like Batista in line for that monster push everyone wants him to get. No, it doesn't.
