Moves that nobody ever kicked out of.

Recommended Posts

I can think of two people kicking out of Hogan's legdrop during that time period.

1. Sid at WrestleMania VIII

2. Yokozuna at King of the Ring '93.

Ultimate Warrior at Mania VI and Undertaker at Survivor 91 IIRC

Both for other reasons, though.

Sid becasue Papa shango was late for the run-in and sid HAD to kick out.

Yoko because it was Hogan's last match in a WWE ring for 9 years so they were obviously going to bury him.

Rock kicked out of it at WMXVIII though.

Everyone and their mother has kicked out of Hogans leg drop now, but the comment was between 1983-1993. Only 2 people have actually kicked out without someone breaking the pin or running in (if anyone did them anyway).

So yeah, Goldberg's Jackhammer is the closest to a death move there is since no one has ever been booked to kicked out of it.

I was thinking Rhyno's Gore has been pretty big for him and I don't recall anyone kicking out, but then I just read that Angle kicked out of TWO of them when he won the US Title from Rhyno. Rock may or may not have kicked out of a Gore as well.

I don't think anyone has cleanly kicked out of Tajiri's Buzzsaw Kick (at least not in WWE... don't know about ECW).

Norton's running shoulderbreaker: Another great looking move, someone probably HAS kicked out of this, (especially if he used it in NJPW) but not that I've seen.

Luger kicked out of it during his "God Push" in 1997. Norton hit the shoulder breaker, and Tenay and Shivonne (not spelled correctly, sue me) treated it like Luger had just been struck down by the right hand of God himself. Anyways, he kicked out at the 2-count like nothing ever happened. Then went on to rack Norton for the win.

I remember Norton pinning Choshu with the shoulderbreaker in NJPW so it was indeed powerful. Man, I was one happy camper watching that.

Has anyone ever got up from The Write-Off, from Mike Rotundo (I.R.S.)?

Or Colt Cabana's Colt 45?

Or Snuka's Superfly Leap?

Or even Val Venis' Money Shot, for that matter?

Or how about William Regal's Power of the Punch?

BJ Whitmer kicked out of the Cop Killah.

HBK kicked out of the Unprettier

Regal was once pinned after hitting Big Show with the Power of the Punch as Big Show fell on top of him

Dreamer kicked out of the Superfly Splash in ECW. Styles sold it as Dreamer being the first person ever to do so. Don't know how true that is.

Didn't Undertaker kick out of it at Wrestlemania....VII was it?

Mabel kicked out of it at KOTR '94.

Or even Val Venis' Money Shot, for that matter?

Rikishi kicked out of it at Fully Loaded 2000.

The Western Lariat is instant death, though Baba kicked out of it twice during the eighties and I could have sworn Kenta Kobashi did in 1996.

Moves like the Burning Hammer are obviously deadly, but how often do you see something like that? Nearly every victory of Hansen's career came from the lariat, and when you take the ratio of how frequently he used it to how effective it was, nothing comes close.

Let's see... the match lasted 4:18, and for 4:11 of it, The Undertaker was squashing Snuka like a bug. Safe money says "No".
