Well, even though I'm not a big watcher of UFC (I've seen a few cards, but haven't seen anything in a long while) I have a few thoughts anyway.

A) Give it up Southworth. Damn you passed "sore loser" and went directly to "crying bitch" after the 3rd repitition of "He didn't hurt me!" Decisions are very what-iffy. If you don't want to risk it, pull a Diego and just pound the poor jackass across from you.

B) By the way Bobby, I wouldn't count on getting another shot at the big time anytime soon. You may be upset about losing, but you don't curse out the president of the UFC unless he gives you the go ahead first.

C) If I was Josh and had seen Diego trying to grab electricity out of the air, that would've been it. No way I would've gotten into the ring with someone that obviously deranged.

D) Leben's back eh? I don't know which would be funnier: him knocking Kosheck's head clear out of the ring, or him jobbing to Kosheck AGAIN. Personally, I'm hoping for the former because Kosheck annoys the crap out of me.

E) It doesn't matter though, because I'm fairly certain that Diego will choke/maim/destroy anyone who comes between him and the contract.

F) Why don't they just let Hoger go over to team Coture and be done with it? He doesn't want to be on Team Lidell and they don't WANT him there. I guess after Griffin knocks someone out it could happen. Doubtful this late in the game though.

Anyway, I'm filled with a manly sort of love for Diego, and wish him well in his asskicking endeavors.

Take this however you'd like, but Josh Koschek's cousin trains Muay Thai and BJJ with me and he says Josh is one of the MW finalists. Funny to note that he claims to have choked Josh out before and I believe him, this guy is the real deal when it comes to BJJ. He's starting out on the smaller shows and is gonna work his way up to KOTC and UFC, hopefully.

What's his name?

Yeah but finalists could mean anything, did he mean final two? At this point I say Diego is gonna be there against Josh since their team will win out on the MW, or get KO'ed by Leben who will face Josh again in the finals.

I'm thinking that with 4 guys left they'll go to the mini-tournament format to get the final 2. Not sure when they filmed this, but this would have given the final 2 at least 3 months to train/heal...

Mike Bentley, he's won a couple of national jiu-jitsu competitions and he's competed in some amateur mixed martial arts. He's also trained with the Gracies, Ricardo Almeida, Arona and some other big names in BJJ. He rolled with Sean O'Haire when he was training here over the summer, but unfortunately I missed that

He says Josh is in the final but didn't really go into specifics (opponent, finals format, etc.).

Fedor would destroy Couture.

Wha?

I dunno John, I respect you but you're way off on that I think. Fedor isn't as invincible as people like to think he is, keep in mind Kaz "Cement Head" Fujita rocked him, and Fujita is no Couture. Remember, people thought The Iceman and Tito could beat Couture too.

A few of the fighter's have been dropping hints to people close to them on who wins the competition, and though none of it is contradictory so far, I dunno how many of them are BS'ing.

It's kind of ironic that a pretty small-ish MW like Diego is the juggernaut of his division, but that annoying tard proved why last night.

And YPoV...

I thought you were thirty-seven and went "Wow that's old", but then you were talking about Deep Purple.

I don't think he'd destroy Couture, but he'd beat him 10/10. Heh, I guess I do think he'll destroy him People put too much stock in that Fujita fight, and I thought Fedor shushed the critics about getting caught by taking Goodridge more seriously and pummeling him. Is Fujita a better striker than Goodridge? No, but Fedor didn't give him respect which is why he was caught. He learned his lesson when he fought the next gatekeeper PRIDE put in front of him, and showed that he learned from it.

EDIT: Thank you Lei Tong.

Damn, I knew Diego was going to tap him out, but I thought Josh would have thrown a punch or two. As soon as he got backed up near the cage you just knew it was over. While Team Chuck annoys me in general, I like Diego, dude's a killer.

LEBEN!!!!! That's all I gotta say about that.

And I doubt Randy would take Sam, it does his team better to leave Sam there to piss off the blue team.

Couture, while a much more technical boxer, doesn't have the punching power of Fujita.

Me saying Fedor would destroy Couture is me being totally gay for Fedor. In reality, that match is probably the best match that could possibily be made nowadays. Silva/Couture is nice to think about as well, but Silva isn't as smart as Fedor is in the ring.

I didn't think either of those guys would beat Couture, but Couture himself has been a question mark because of his age.

Couture works well because he can see the other guys strategy and come up with a better one. Fedor works like that too. Here's the thing, Coutures fights are generally all the same, while Fedor changes it up. Randy would be at a disadvantage scouting Fedor because he's up against a guy who can win from ANYWHERE. Couture takes Fedor down? Fedor can tap him. And that's IF Couture can take Fedor down. Fedor has sick balance and is a judo guy so he matches up nicely against Coutures greco. To take Fedor down you need to doubleleg him, and Couture goes for the clinch/bodylock. And that's IF Couture can get close to Fedor for the clinch anyways. See how that works?

In a cage, Coutures strategy would be to get Fedor against the fence and work for a cut stoppage. He has a good chance there. In a ring, much less.

And then there is physical stuff like strength, size, and conditioning. Fedor is stronger, Fedor is bigger, and while Randy has better conditioning than Fedor, Fedor can go bell to bell at a high pace.

The mental aspects and how they train is where the match will be decided. And thats why I think Fedor would whoop Randy, he's just a smarter fighter. He's not like Liddell or Tito, his gameplan isn't transparent. In his first match against Nog he GnP's for the decisive win. He actually willingly went into Noguieras guard and worked from there. In the third match he keeps it standing for 90% of the match and at times avoiding going into Nogs guard. Hearing Randy call that fight is so telling at how the two would match up. I should write a review for that match....hmm... :)

Don't forget this:

- and I think Fedor won that match despite taking that nasty suplex...

(edit) Shit, it's miniature. Well, just trust me, it looks painful...

I stopped reading when Tamura was reffered to as a "tomato can," regardless of chances against Sapp.

In regards to TUF, does anyone knows what other fighter's tried out for this show? The only name I remember is Denis Kang, but I've rumours about Nathan Marquardt, who (along with most guys in Pancrase's 183lbs. top ten) more than likely could've tore the MW's currently on the show, and put on exciting matches while doing so.

Oh *smacks head* I forgot. Tomato Cans are what Tamura gets because he hasn't been able to beat legit competition in years.

I always forget that.

Hey, I doubt he wasn't owed some sort of payback for putting acting like he can't defend the dreaded Ezekial choke.

Man, they really need to rework the structure if they are going to have a TUF2.

They need to do what Tough Enough does and bring them to the event live...
