RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 Vozelle has a nice booty, which was certainly accentuated with that lil number she was wearing tonight. Carrie did this really good gesture towards the camera when she was moving up to the stage that was hot and cool at the same time. Oh, and the word "rock" is being used WAAAAAAAAAAAY too liberally on this show. Rock Idol~!
smh810 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 I thought Anwar was really good for the first time in a while. Here's the problem with Anwar, he's more of a producer than a singer. Usually his arrangements are really good but the execution has been off lately. It wasnt tonight. You want hideous? Observe Nadia and Bo's performance's tonight one of them will be gone. Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 I thought Bo was easily the best one? Keep in mind I haven't watched the last two episodes.
Mik 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 Carrie's looks were inverse to her performance tonight. Smoking hot.
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted April 13, 2005 Best was Constantine, Worst was Anwar. Its the same song every week. He is so boring now.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 Bo bored me to tears with his version of Free Bird...Nadia is history with Scott out the next week...Federov continues to suck but he gets enough fan support to hang on at least a couple more weeks...
starvenger 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 Worst was Anwar. Its the same song every week. You could say the same about Scott. Hall and Oates must've been thinking "kill me now". Carrie and Vonzell continue to make me happy with the cheezy 80's songs. They coulda went the route Sergei took with the ballad, but they went full out with the Pat Benatar and Debbie Williams. Seriously, did you ever think you'd hear those two covered on Idol? If someone else had sang "The Warrior" I'd have been marking out like, well, Paula I guess. btw Constantine did a very good rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody, although I didn't like how they cut it up to fit the 2:30 window. Song fits him perfectly, as his emoting thing meshes well with the song.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 you know, as this thing winds down, I'm beginning to like Constantine...his past two performances have been very good...the only stigma being that damn awful rendition of the Partridge song...Top 4 at least... Bo, I dunno, it just seems like he's phoning it in anymore...kinda like watching Booker T these days...
MooreMark 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 I hope Nadia gets another chance. I thought all of the girls looked sexy tonight. Anwar needs to go. He picks low-range songs when he knows his lower range sucks. Scott was terrible too.

MooreMark 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2005 Nadia is gone. I'm not really shocked because of how the voting has gone but she went too soon. I can't believe Scott was first to be safe. That is retarded.

Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2005 Nice try Seacrest, there have been "shocking" bottom 3's before this is not one of them Ruben Studdard being in the bottom 2 that one time shocked the hell outta me and everyone in the studio, including all three judges... Bo has sucked lately and it doesn't surprise me at all that he didn't get a lot of votes...
starvenger 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2005 Bo has sucked lately and it doesn't surprise me at all that he didn't get a lot of votes... Bo wasn't even surprised, really. I mean, this thing started as a lark for him, and he seems to have been coasting simply because he hasn't expected to get this far in a pop singing competition. Scott is very lucky he's got a fanbase, because his acting all arrogant probably alienated all the casual voters (see Gordon, Mikel-ugh). Still, it wasn't enough to keep him out of the bottom three, and if we assume that Bo might, you know, try next week, Scott will be back down there.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2005 I like arrogance. Then again Im a wrestling fan (a smark at that so I like heels) Scott had a hard time with the low notes but did ok at the other parts. I fel bad for Nadia, as she never seemed to catch on with the fans though she lasted quite a while. Vonzell is good, but too generic. Actually Constantine is also surprising me. I think scotts going next (he's been losing votes especially since his arrest cam out in the media) , as they are running out of girls and I dont think the network or the producers want to have all guys at the end (though they did in season 2 with the final 2) Nadia was different, she had more of a rock vibe to her and wasnt a typical "black r and b soul singer" (I'm not trying to be racist here but hear me out) which makes me think thats why he didnt have as much support and was constantly in the bottom 3. That kinda sucks. Anyhow I'm still waiting for a blowaway show but I guess well have to wait for the last one for that. Bo made a bad choice of song as it was near impossible to chope up Freebird into less tahn 2 mins. As for Simon saying the audience would really understand it, I hope they realize that not all of idols audience are 13 years olds who think Britney Spears and Nyync are legends of rocknroll. Hell even I know that song and I was born in 1982. and one more thing the judges are acting way too bipolar lately. They basically have complained about Carrie for weeks and when she decides to shake things up with a different style of performance she gets mostly bad reviews. I'm not saying she was great but she was very good and seems to be the most consistent in holding her notes and staying on key (thus I mean she seems like she is ready to record right now yknow?) My thoughts right now? a Constantine and Carrie finale. Not saying it's my choice but thats the feeling I get.
Mik 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2005 I think people are misinterpreting Scott's comment. He wasn't talking about having the guts to be up there and sing per se, but more so to sing Hall and Oates' song with them in the house. He was probably deathly nervous. Even though it's only Hall and Oates, wouldn't you be nervous performing a song in front of the original artist? Yes, I like Scott. I realize if he wins it's a travesty, but I hope he makes it to the final 4 at least. I just think he's entertaining in a white trash hilarious kinda way. Even though it's only Hall and Oates, wouldn't you be nervous performing a song in front of the original artist? Interesting way to look at things, but I do think that he was cutting a promo (so to speak) on people that say "I can sing better on stage" but have never done it. And I would agree with Jericholic in that there's nothing wrong with him being arrogant if he wants to. It's just that it's not going to help him win those casual voters that are important for surviving to the next week. Yes, I like Scott. I realize if he wins it's a travesty, but I hope he makes it to the final 4 at least. I just think he's entertaining in a white trash hilarious kinda way. You kinda get the feeling that he and Kevin Federline would be real good buddies...
starvenger 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 Donna Summer made a disco version of Macarthur Park? I had no idea. And bad, bad choice for Carrie. She tried, but it didn't work...
starvenger 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 Quick hit thoughts: Constantine - morphed into a Bee Gee. He's impressing me more now that I don't think of him as a rocker Carrie - See above Scott - Same shit, different song and genre Sergei - ditto Family Guy promo - Wow, Seth McFarlane has hit Jay Leno levels with his topical stuff. Makes me care about the show that much less. Vonzell - She chose this because Whitney sang it, I don't care what excuse she comes up with. Whatever, she nailed it. starvenger 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 Anwar - Pretty good, but I thought that the chorus overpowered him at times Bo - Quite good. Guess he wants it.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 I thought Scotts performance was surprisingly good, it's just the guy has absolutely no charisma... and he regularly sucks it softly. The Russian guy was good too, he has some charisma... but he seems really phony. Vozelle wins round 1 of the Rudolicious Contest. What was Underwood thinking wearing that number? And it didn't look to me like she was that enthused about singing disco; she dogged most of the song and just hit the power notes as if that's enough. And there was excessive nose scrunchery. Bo was good, but I want to see him go nuts. Constantine was rather bad, I thought. Anwar is the worst of the bunch, and that's sayin something since Scott and Sergei are still in it. Guest Hass of Pain Report post Posted April 20, 2005 A bad theme can kill a week, and this was no exception. I think most people want to see their favorites sing memorable ballads, or at least songs most normal people under the age of 25 have heard before, not cheesy disco songs that just make everyone look foolish. The producers really need to stop pushing people quite so hard in what is supposed to be a fair and even competition. The entire show had a "welcome back Bo" theme with the last ten minutes just turning into a big phoney pep rally begging voters to axe someone "less deserving" like Scott or Anthony. I agree that they are less deserving, but in the sake of fairness they need to let off the favoritism. I have been calling Carrie since week one and I am sticking with it. She has that it factor and a big crossover appeal. Plus she's hot. Really hot. Carries ass = +10.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 Bo was much better this week, Constantine was OKAY, Vonzell was the best of the night, Carrie was just kinda there... bottom 3: Scott, Federov, Anwar with Scott going home this week, though it really should be Federov because...well...he sucks... starvenger 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 I thought Scotts performance was surprisingly good, it's just the guy has absolutely no charisma... and he regularly sucks it softly. Were I to actually care enough to tape and replay the show, I'd probably be able to spot Scott's repetitive moveset. I know for sure he's got the boy band-ish "reach out to the audience" move, and the slow waddle across the stage, but I feel like I'm missing some others here. Does he do the "pound heart and point to heaven" during his performances? Also, does he remind you guys of the dumb trooper in Super Troopers? Carries ass = +10. Ignoring the fact that they're the only two females left, both Carrie and Vonzell have an ass appeal factor. Bottom 3: Carrie, Sergei and Mama's Boy Scott Going home: Sergei, because Savol is like Meredith and Gretchen on the Amazing Race, and doesn't get eliminated when clearly, he should. Mik 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 I got my vote in for Scott last night! I just want to hear him look like he received the most surprising news of his life, thank Jesus 13 consecutive times, and give a bearhug to the closest person when he finds out he's not eliminated...again. Can't miss TV.

Mik 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Of course Scott stays, and he will next week too when Anthony gets eliminated. That's right, ladies and gents, Scott Savol will make the top 5. I know this is gonna sound really gay, but I actually liked that group song for once.
