So what happens to Evolution now?

Recommended Posts

Obviously Batista wont be a member of Evolution for much longer now that he and Triple H will offically face each other at Wrestlemania XXI, so what of Evolution? Will it just end now and go away or will Triple H find another one or two young guns to join and keep it going for another little while?

I can see HHH trying to avoid bringing it up or testing the waters of asking Batista to lay down at Wrestlemania tomorrow night.

After the initial happiness of Batista winning has worn off (as it has now), I have to wonder how they can work this for two months. Perhaps HHH will have some PPV-level title defense against someone around the same time as No Way Out, and the real build will go from there.

Batistia probably won't leave Evolution or truly Feud with HHH until the few weeks leading up to WM. Thats when the pressure of Batista being the contender will prove to much for HHH's character.

Sounds like an updated version of the Harris Twins...

Well they did sign those Shane Twin boys.

I'd love it if HHH assumes Batista will jump to Smackdown and challenge JBL

I think it's obvious that will happen, The suggestion of Batistia going over to smackdown.

I think Snitsky and Edge would be wonderful replacements for Batista and Orton. You can call this Evolution Version 2.0

Edit: WWE could always fuck it up and have Batista go to SD to challenge JBL for the WWE Championship.

"Dave, with you winning the Royal Rumble, now we can expand Evolution over to both brands!"

But then...Batista would still be a heel since he sided with HHH..can't have JBL/Batista if both are heels so Big Show would have to win at No Way Out.. and we'd get Batista vs Big Show.

..oh..no...

Triple H is quickly becoming the official wrestling succubus. If he gets two new guys, it'll just be that much more obvious. He's already sucked Ric Flair dry, and he's pretty much used up Orton like an old bike, and ran him into the ground. So, is Batista next on the Heat-sucking machine?

I think it would work.

Tomorrow night on Raw, Bischoff gets a notification that a Raw guy is jumping over to Smackdown.

Everyone (Announcers, wrestlers, extras) assumes it's Batista for winning the Royal Rumble.

At the end, Batista reveals he's staying on Raw, leaving a cliffhanger until Smackdown.

Kurt Angle has a match, and out comes Shawn Michaels.

I'm pretty sure that this feud will get going faster than you think. Batista will probably give a quick tease about going to Smackdown or laying down for the title, and then he'll shake HHH's hand and powerbomb him. I can see them dragging this out for one extra week, but that's about it.

As of a speech by Vince McMahon in October 2002, people can't simply jump shows anymore. There has to be a trade.

Except for two ways:

One) The Rumble winner can choose to switch if he wishes to go for the other brand's title.

Two) The storyline contract expired, and was bought out by the other brand.

If Evolution adds any members between now and WM, it is obvious Batista will get jumped, but it will also be stale since it will be exactly the way Orton left.

AKA The Matt Hardy Clause.

I'd do this, Have HBK show up on Smackdown and announce that while he was out with his injury, he didn't know nor did The Raw offices realize that his contract expired with raw in mid december. Since he had not resigned with Raw, that effectively made him a FREE AGENT. And on Monday morning, he called his lawler to see how he could get out of raw and simply learned he'd been free for over a month. So monday afternoon; he called up Theodore Long and promptly signed a new contract...with Smackdown.

Bischoff finds out about it that night during Raw and goes ballestic, and tells coach "Looks like one of our raw superstars has just jumped to Smackdown". Bischoff threatens legal activity but according to the Board of Directors; there's nothing shawn did that was illegal.

For some reason, I see Chris Masters joining Evolution. Not sure if they'd go for a fourth, but they could always add someone else later, like if they do the draft again.

Definitely. We all know how much HHH loves body builders. He has giant posters of them given to him by Steph.

Yeah, that was like the first (ok, second) thing I thought of when I heard Batista won. That's a great storyline to tease for a bit and kill some time with.

why couldn't Michaels just show up on Smackdown and vice cersa with Angle on Raw as a ticket buyer in the crowd to antagonize each other, occasionally jumping the gaurd rail and entering the ring only to be escorted out by security? Isn't that what they did with Goldberg and Brock? ( I can't remember as I didn't pay much attention to the WWE again until after WM20)...that way they don't have to screw around with goofy storylines explaining why a Raw or Smackdown guy is on the other show...

Right, so Raw "management" didn't realize that the contract of 1 of their top stars expired w/out them realizing it? That seems a little far-fetched.

I think they could explain it by.........ohhhhhh, I don't know.......maybe saying.........."we're going to have a few interpromotional matches at WM, our biggest show of the year."
