Fro Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Heat 1. Intercontinental Title: Shelton Benjamin © beat Val Venis (9:05) with the T-Bone Suplex. 2. Gene Snitsky beat The Hurricane (3:37) with a Pump-handle Slam. 3. Kane beat Gene Snitsky (7:17) with a Chokeslam. (Dark Match?) 4. Mohammed Hassan beat Rhyno (5:02) with a Camel Clutch. RAW 1. Chris Benoit beat Chris Jericho (9:38) with the Crippler Crossface. 2. Batista beat Maven (0:32) with the Batista Bomb. 3. World Tag Team Titles: Tajiri & William Regal beat Rob Conway & Sylvian Grenier © (4:35) when Tajiri used theBuzzsaw Kick on Grenier to win the World Tag Team Titles. 4. Shawn Michaels beat Ric Flair (10:17) with the Sweet Chin Music. 5. Randy Orton beat Tyson Tomko (5:10) with a Schoolboy. 6. World Heavweight Title: HHH © beat Edge (16:49) with the Pedigree. Akebono (famous Hawaiian sumo wrestler who was the first foreign Yokozuna) was at ringside for this match. (this was worked Japanese style apparently with handshakes after the match and everything) Steve Williams and Shibata were in attendance as well. I believe Johnny Ace had a meeting with Misawa and NOAH and talked a bit about working with the WWE in the future. From deathvalleydriver.com Update: Zach Arnold is reporting that they did a skit with Simon Dean and Akebono and that Akebono and HHH shook hands.
SamoaRowe Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Only ten minutes for Jericho/Benoit? I figured since they were in Japan (and since it was a submission match) they would get 15-20. Ah well, still should be good.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Tajiri's champion again! YES! And only ten minutes for Lionheart and Wild Pegasus? Bah. BAH I SAY!
TheFranchise Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 First time in a long time i've seen the words 'Raw and Spoilers' next to each other! Where does Edge go from here then? His character is over now, since he's had his 'shot'. Regal holds gold<3
Guest TigerDriver91 Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 2. Gene Snitsky beat The Hurricane (3:37) with a Pump-handle Slam. 3. The Undertaker beat Gene Snitsky (7:17) with a Chokeslam. WTF?
DMann2003 Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 3. The Undertaker beat Gene Snitsky (7:17) with a Chokeslam. Come Again?
Guest Dazed Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Edge shaking hands is way out of character, especially after missing out on the World title, but it depends how it plays out on TV. I *really* don't get what Maven's done to earn all this shit, and the booking is really inconsistent with him beating the Hurricane and Rhyno last week and losing in 30 seconds repeatedly. I'd like to hope there's some greater plan, but... yeah
Guest DeathBecomesYou Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Take away the Batista/Maven and Orton?Tomko matches and Raw looks really good.
Guest TigerDriver91 Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 No sign of Capt. Charisma again
TheFranchise Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Taker > Snitskey = for the live fans, I guess.
TheFranchise Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Also, Misawa in WWE? How many American fans know who he is?
Guest Trivia247 Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Not sure too many, Who knew Tiger Mask II is, Outside those who have the WWF/AJPW summit event with him vs Bret Hart for those of us who know him, even in his declining years it should be a big thing for Misawa to do something with the WWE
Spaceman Spiff Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 5. Randy Orton beat Tyson Tomko (5:10) with a Schoolboy. Yeah, this match is going to be pretty bad. Putting that aside, though, Orton wins w/ a schoolboy? Unless they're going to play the concussion card again, I don't get why Tomko isn't eating the RKO (and I don't even like Orton).
Fro Posted February 4, 2005 Author Report Posted February 4, 2005 3. The Undertaker beat Gene Snitsky (7:17) with a Chokeslam. Come Again? Sorry, it's Kane d. Snitsky, and probably a dark match.
CanadianChick Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 I'm actually really surprised the tag match didn't start the card. And I"m a bit dissappointed that Jericho/Benoit went ten minutes. Hopefully, it's leading to another match to settle the score, or something to that effect.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 45 minutes of matches. The usual 15 minute HHH promo and an hour left for diva crap and everything else.

I just want them to have a big blowoff singles match at WrestleMania, but I guess they will probably be doing something like jobbing Jericho to Hassan
Crimson Platypus Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 There's a shock... Edge lost to HHH. Yay.

Gotta protect those generic hosses.

Guest Loss Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 I'd expect La Res to get the tag titles back in the next couple of weeks. They probably did a switch just because it's Taijiri and it's Japan. The WWE really needs some type of established tier system in their booking. As of right now, Benoit and Jericho, who are equals, aren't as good as Batista, who can beat La Resistance single-handedly, nor are they good as Regal and Taijiri, who can also beat them. Coming out of this situation, Batista is the one man equivalent of a Regal/Taijiri tag team and Benoit and Jericho are worse than all of them. They REALLY need to put more thought into this sort of thing.
Guest TigerDriver91 Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 I'd expect La Res to get the tag titles back in the next couple of weeks. Just what Raw needs... another tag title reign for La Resistance. I don't know which team is more stale right now the Dudley Boyz or La Resistance. Actually they're both pathetic and useless to me.
Lil' Bitch Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 HBK finally gets his job back from Flair on TV in a singles match.
Guest Loss Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 That's what you get when you build up one heel tag team (or one real tag team, PERIOD) and expect them to carry an entire division. I would like to see more real teams, and I'd like to see Conway get out of this ridiculous angle. It's holding him back.
Lightning Flik Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Well Edge's character is now dead thanks to HHH retaining the title. Could get salvaged the following week, but I doubt it.
Dark Age Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 That looks pretty cool. I'm looking forward to the tag title change more than anything, surprisingly. It should have lasted a bit longer, though. Is there a chance that this Edge/Triple H respect thing was done only for the live crowd, and won't air on TV? Benoit/Jericho going just nine minutes is disappointing - it'll be even worse if, as expected, they stick a commercial in the middle of it. Still, looks like a pretty good edition of Raw. I shall watch.
Guest Loss Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 I am questioning whether or not they'll even show the Edge/HHH handshake on TV. Edge's character isn't dead as long as he can make an excuse for not winning the title. He was pinned in the EC as well.

They only did it because of Japanese tradition, I'm sure. But this is the WWE, so you never know.
