The Sarah Silverman reference was a joke from WAY back in the day. Personally, I think she's sexy as hell AND she's one of the few female comics that make me laugh...

I found Rita Rudner funnier than I did Sarah Silverman.

 

Most female comics suck though, since it always becomes an anti-male tirade. Just like black comedians rely on anti-white people tirades. This is why you often times see the better comedians being white males, since they can't really offend the other groups, so they have to rely on actual comedy rather than appealing to a certain audience.

When taking the best of each catagory, I say the blacks win, followed by white guys and then women, because I refuse to have George Lopez ranked above anyone.

You know, for all the lavish praise thrown at Carlin and Pryor.... there's better. Paricularly with Carlin. His 'macho' rants are often just embarassingly self-ingratiating.

Carlin can be very funny at times, but mostly he comes off as just a grumpy old man who really stretches to make a joke out of something.

 

Todd Glass did a bit about Carlin streatching for a joke.

And female comedians for the most part just don't make me laugh.

I find black comics funnier because of "Story telling" joke method which I perfer than most whites "Punchline" joke method.

Carlin's a great example of someone who'd have been better off dying 20, 25, maybe 30 years ago. He went from being very cutting-edge and funny to being someone who's just an opinionated asshole.

Carlin can suck my dick cause he's a hippy asshole, but at his best he's pretty damn good.

Even though I usually dislike everything about his style when I see it in other people, my favorite comic is Cosby and I will call him the best ever. He's black, but he doesn't use the traditional black comic style, so I don't know.

Don't get me wrong, I love watching black comedians too. Back when I was living in the suburbs of LA, some of my coworkers at Blockbuster thought I was a bit strange that I watched just about every single Platinum Comedy Series DVD we had available on our lunch break, along with Eddie Murphy's Raw and whatever else I could find. They're about equal to Latin comedians, though I don't like it when they rely on making fun of white people either.
