RKO makes sense though. It is not only his actual initials, it is a reference to the old movie studio and also works as Randy's Knock Out. So I don't consider it that bad.

Sweet Chin Music is pretty bad. How a chin is related to music in anyway is beyond me. Maybe it's meant to mean the sound it makes when he kicks someone in the jaw like when Test used to slap his thigh, I don't think it was ever explained though.

"That's Incredible" for Justin Credible's piledriver was pretty gay. As was his catchphrase. Actually, pretty much everything about him was gay.

What's the deal with the Emerald Frozen/Frosien/Fusion? I know what it is, but what the hell does the name have to do with the move?

No mention of Johnny B. Badd's "Kiss That Don't Miss"?

And I assume there is a reason why "useless moron" is tagged in front of any mention of useless moron Scott Keith.

See?

Because useless moron useless moron Scott Keith is one?

Makes sense. I'm just shocked that useless moron Scott Keith is the only useless moron specifically and traditionally referred to as one.

I honestly don't even remember typing that. I must be losing it in my old age. :(

And Hollys finisher was called the HOLLYCAUST? Jesus... and I think Don Harris wearing a shirt with the Nazi symbol on it was bad.

For a couple of weeks I think. But then I guess someone was like "Hey, isn't that a bit distasteful?"

But it seems bizarrely fitting for Holly.

I actually think Sweet Chin Music is an actual term. I swear I've heard it elsewhere.

"Chin Music" is a baseball term. When a pitcher throws one high and tight to a batter it's called chin music. I'm not sure if it has any other applications, but that's one.

I have to go with Nightmare on Helms Street. A REALLY lame pun.

Also, from that period in WCW, who can forget YANG TIME? Does he still do that move as Akio?

He did the twisting corkscrew when he beat London, and Mathews called it "Akio Time."

I always love it when announcers call name-related finishers using the guy's new name. Like in WCW when Bossman used the "Traylor Slam" or when Mr. America was "America-ing up."

And I liked Yang Time as a name for the hangtime-related pun.

Howabout Dave Sullivans Reverse Bear Hug called "The Bunny Hop" or something like that

Posted

*Bossman Slam

*Stevie Kick

*Baldobomb

*Yang Time

*Spear << what the hell..

*Angle Slam << much better as the Olympic Slam.

*West Coast Pop

*Doomsday Device << probably get shit on, but wasn't a big fan of the name of th emove.

*Nightmare on Helms Street << just terrible.

*The Last Dance << Disco quickly learned that and changed it to "The Chartbuster"

*Schafot << might of spelt that wrong. But that was Alex's Wright original name for his Neckbreaker as Berlyn. Made sense (Schafot is a were people are hung, thus injuring the neck)... but still dumb.

*Any move that is a regular move... Dropkick, DDT, things like that.

*Any move that involves the person name.

*RKO isn't bad, it actually makes alot of sense and is fine with me.

*Au Revoir makes perfect sense, and I think the name fits the gimmick well.

Actually Disco first called it the chartbuster in 97, later it was changed to last dance.

During Kid Romeos short wcw run in early 01, his finisher was called "The Last Kiss" OOOOOOKAYYYYYY

Actually if you think about it, The walls of Jericho sounds kinda dumb (and this is coming from an obvious Jericho mark so)

I actually like some of the odd Japanese names like Emerald Fusion/Frosion/Erosion, stretch plum; and you get some gems like Burning Hammer and Iconoclasm.

Tokyo Magnum has two moves with hilariously (and purposely) bad names, the Viagra Driver, Erect Smash and the Adult Video Star press. His hip-swivelling Frankensteiner was called something horrible like the groin attack.

Greetings From Asbury Park was a lame name, and a lame finisher. Slop Drop is a horrible name for a horrible gimmick.

Test Drive is a horrible name.

Whisper in the Wind, Poetry in Motion, and to a lesser extent, twist of fate are bad.

Edge-o-matic is lame ('specially since it was a pun on a just slightly less lame name: Sledge-o-matic)

The Bareback

When Rock called it the 'corporate elbow'

I didn't like Styles calling everything a tazzplex, leave that for the tazzmision suplex (just realized it's natural to type his names with to zeds now. Weird.)

The Molly-Go-Round

The Raven effect is really lame compared to the Evenflow DDT.

What did Konnan actually call the carpet muncher?

And in my mind, I remember the dragon sleeper being called the 'taker care of business' the first time it was used, because I was cracking up. Either I misheard, or they realized how drastically lame that was.

I second Angle Slam. 'Olympic Slam' sounded much better.

JR even called it the olympic slam when Angle turned up on Raw couple of weeks ago, I prefer Angle Slam because 'Olympic Slam' is the name of the big breakfast on the menu of a restuarant near hwere I live...

What about 'Uncle Slam' the Full Nelson bomb that the patriot used to use...

And all the stupid names that Danny Doring had for about 6 0r 7 fnishing moves in ecw, can't remember any of them at the moment though....

I liked the last two.

Lame names:

World's Strongest Slam

Unprettier (the original name, the Deprettyizer sounded better and fit the E&C gimmick)

Showstopper (he stops himself?)

Fame-Asser

Pimp Drop

What does everyone think of the Hollycaust?

Some really cool names that could be used are:

Hour of Judgement

Shadowcaster

Boston Massacre (maybe a new name for the FU?)

Million Dollar Spot

420 Splash (maybe if RVD did a 450)

And I know I'm missing a few more of Doring's ones

More wrestler name related move: Rikishi Driver.

Not a finisher, but ANYTIME someone does any form of a spinebuster, it's suddenly an Arn Anderson Spinebuster, as if he invented every fucking variation.
