Mike Awesome powerbombing Rhyno on a ladder and winning the HC title at MSG was cool. They did most of the debuts of the WCW/ECW guys well, it was just the rest of it that sucked. I too, marked hard for Tazz in his debut and thought the match was fun. Flair's comeback to WWF was great as was his intial debut in 91.

He was already wrestling as a heel before "the streak" began (beating up Steve McMichael a lot), which seemed to be erased from history. I'll have to go with the popular opinions of Chris Jericho and the Undertaker. For worst, Giant Gonzalez, mainly for the fact he looked fucking retarded.

Dobbs 3K Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 I gotta disagree with the nWo debut in WWE...it seemed like a desperate ploy to get buyrates for the PPV they showed up on...Vince just suddenly announcing "I'm bringing in Hogan, Hall, and Nash...the N-W-O!" and just playing a looped clip of them on the video screen seemed like a waste. I think it would've been more effective if they had just shown up out of the blue and beat the crap out of someone like Austin. That would've been a lot more like the real nWo, IMO.

On the Hulk Still Rules DVD, they show the match he actually returned in...which was Bob Backlund vs. Samoan #3. Was planned to be a tag match, but Captain Lou protested since Backlund wanted a mystery partner. Turned into a one on one match...Captain Lou, Afa, and Sika tried to get involved. Backlund goes to the back, then comes back out with Hogan to guard the ring. Match ends with a DQ in favor of Backlund, and he and Hogan clear the ring. Also includes the dumbest looking fall out of the ring by Captain Lou.

Remember, at the start of the group's life, the whole deal about the nWo was that it was lead by former WWF guys that wanted to invade...showing that, in a way, WWF was better than WCW. Storyline wise, they wouldn't have as much a beef with WWF as they did with WCW. That's just my opinion though.

He didnt hang with Steve, )they only started feuding cuz of Debra, who paid of Goldberg by giving him Steves superbowl ring. They didn't mention much of his streak untill the new year, but it was obvious that he was something special from the beginning, as he was destorying bigger guys like morrus and Barbarian in addition to jobbers. Did he say that one? in hindsight what a brilliant move! However I do know that after the match mean gene tried to interview him and he just stared and walked away. I have the match on tape from the best of nitro special that aired in December 1999. Tenay made a big deal out of not knowing anything about bill except that he played football.

Yeah....what he said. Close second for me would have to be Cactus Jack's WWE debut... Mankind and Dude Love in the same room announcing Cactus Jacks debut. Granted it was only a gimmick change, it was still pretty cool…I specifically remember marking out for that one.

It showed that Paul Heyman wasn't going to bother with the lowly hardcore belt because the NEXT BIG THING doesn't need that belt. It showed Brock Lesnar can and is willing to murder just for the thrill of it and the profit of obtaining a championship belt.
