They're in 10th place but they were the worst team in the league last year and they were in playoff contention for most of the season. That would be like saying Lebron didn't contribute to the success of the Cavliers last year because they didn't make the playoffs.

I say most improved simply becuase they don't have a comeback player of the year award. He might have been a great player before he got hurt, but when was the last time you saw a healthy Grant Hill before this season? He also was an All-Star this year after not being able to play for a long time. I think people just take him for granted.

Grant Hill doesn't fit the Most Improved criteria.

Simmons is a good choice. Drew Gooden and Kyle Korver should also get consideration. Joel Pryzbilla as well, he's been a monster the last couple months, but he didn't get run til the all-star break. I was thinking Brevin Knight as well, but he's more of a comeback player, he was doing this shit his first couple years with Cleveland and then just fell off the map.

Hmmm. So maybe the Celts aren't for real?

The Nets are your new flavor of the month. Seems like we've had a different team to gush about every month this season, huh? First it was Seattle, then it was Phoenix, then SA, then Miami, then Houston's resurgence, then Boston, Chicago, and now New Jersey.

Well I think you should gush about the best teams in the league. Also there' nothing wrong with talk about a team catching fire.

He's just bitter that there hasn't been a "Lakers month"

No I've had enough of the Lakers talk this year considering how the season went and the talk goes on.

Just seems to me every team has had their own month.

We can proclaim this Golden State Warriors month, too!

Well what the fuck do you want people to do? Not talk about any teams?

Calm down, guy. I know you reign supreme and you're nototrious like a jely bean.

I was only referring to certain teams having all the talk concentrated on them for a while. The flavors of the month. Nothing to get mad about.

Whatever, it sounded funnier the way I rephrased it. You had to ruin it.

Excellent.

So how bout them Bulls? I'd like to see them matched up against Boston personally.

Standing wise, I don't think that Bulls/Celts matchup is going to happen.

What about the Wizards? I hot they'd be a hot team going into the playoffs, but they've lost 5 straight now. On the other side of things, Philly is making a huge push into the playoffs.

Actually Wiz are suffering from HORRIBLE coaching. They've had 4th quarter leads in their last 3 home games but have just choked them away.

Eddie Jordan has no sense on how to manage the game clock, control the game tempo, this late in the year their is NO set rotation and none of the bench players know their role. And the defense, my god it's the worst defense in NBA history bar none.

Arenas had 44 tonight and they still didn't beat an Iverson less Philly at home. They had a 13 point lead in the 4th and choked it away with quick shots and horrible clock management. They are the definition of limping into the playoffs right now.

They were literally the 4th seed last week, and now they're barely hanging onto the 6th seed. I'm thinking Eddie Jordan could get fired.

Well the poor defense at least can be put on the loss of Haywood. They play a run n' gun, outscore the other team style anyway, but without Haywood defending the paint it's a lot riskier for Hughes and Arenas to gamble in the passing lanes the way they do. Before, if they missed a steal, they had a big time shotblocker back there....

Spurs are in double overtime against the CLIPPERS........Big Dog only played 5 minutes. Robert Horry won the game by himself by hitting a 3 pointer in the final seconds and then blocks the final shot for the win 125-124!

WHAT A GAME

Damn tough loss for the Clippers. When the the ball went to Horry I knew the shot was going up and going down.

However I can't say enough about Shaun Livingston, this kid has the potential to be one of the greats in the league.

And I hope Joel Przybilla gets the nod for Most Improved Player, the Blazers have nothing else going for them so hopefully they win back-to-back Most Improved awards to provide a little bright spot in a season full of shit. I fully expect it to go to Bobby Simmons though.

Pryzbilla was supposed to be a third center on the roster and ended up being fantastic. That guy plays hard and gives everthing he has. Joel really deserves some recognition.

1. The word "literally" can be omitted from the sentence.

2. Yeah, fire his ass for actually getting the Wizards to the playoffs. You do know you're facing a team with a more favorable record by being 6th and playing the slumping Boston than if you were 4th or 5th and facing the rising Bulls, right?

I just want to know what you expect people to do. Just talk about one team all season and ignore the teams that come up and catch fire?

Seattle surprised everyone by having on eof the best records in the league at the beginning of the season. Nobody expected that and they talked about it.

Phoenix has made one of the best turnarounds in league history and has a player in the MVP race.

I don't remember any San Antonio "flavor of themonth" treatment because they're usually always good and receiving some press.

People have talked about Miami all year.

The Rockets had high expectations and weren't living up to them. People don't talk about losing teams alot unless this i happening. When they starting winning and Tracy McGrady started doing ridiculous shit on the court, people started talking about it.

Boston was going nowhere until they traded fo Antoine Walker. After they did that went on a winnning streak and took the lead in their division.

Chicago hasn't been near the playoffs in about eight years (since Jordan) so people are excited about them.

New Jersey was written off until they traded for Vince Carter and he started tearing shit up. Now they're a game out of the playoffs and we have a three-way race in the east.

I don't know what you want people to do. The season is 82 games long, of course people are going to find different things to talk about over the course of the season.
