Guest Sturgis Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 The boys are asked to play baseball, but they really don't want to. They decide to lose the game so they can have the summer to themselves.
The Decemberists Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 I thought last week's was awesome, best of the season so far. So hopefully this one can keeping bringing the hilarity.
Guest Smues Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Huzzah for a baseball themed episode. And just now in my database class (huzzah classes where we get to be on computers) my prof was waving a black marker around, stopped and sniffed it, then laughed and asked if everyone had seen last weeks Southpark. Glad to know people of all ages liked last weeks episode.
razazteca Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 Will it be a 'roid theme episode? Jimmy needs to be the catcher for the Cows!
Guest Smues Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 Will it be a 'roid theme episode? Jimmy needs to be the catcher for the Cows! I really hope not since they already had the special olympics episode last season.
Guest Askewniverse Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 I'm digging the use of "You're The Best Around" from The Karate Kid.
BlackFlagg Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 KYLE'S COUSIN! I knew it~! oh and...BAT DAD~!
Guest El Satanico Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 I'm loving real kyle letting his jew fro fly free
Gary Floyd Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 Randy Marsh needs his own episode. He's the best adult character on the show
BlackFlagg Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 another solid episode, this is shaping up to be a great season so far
Guest jumpingbombangel Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 That was REALLY funny. What is this obsession with Stallone over the past few weeks? Oh, and Bat Dadding is now the new Frog Splashing. EDIT: I enjoy all the dancing sigs and avatars in this thread.
syxx2001 Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 It was funny but sometimes I felt like I was forcing the laughs. But it was a nice episode.
Ed Wood Caulfield Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 That was just great. Mickey appearing out of nowhere made me laugh the most. This might be the first time Rocky V has been parodied on South Park, what with the "I didn't hear no bell" line. I don't think there was a message or a moral to this episode. I think Matt and Trey just wanted to mock Rocky. And did anyone else catch that one person singing in falsetto "You're The Best Around" during Randy's fight with the Batman? And I agree there should be a Randy Marsh-centered episode of South Park.

They did that well, and I think the message was the focus is more on the unruly parents in the stands these days. Good stuff. And the falsetto voice cracked me the hell up. Did they change Bat Dad's name? I thought one person called him something and then his wife called him Chris.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 I think it'd be a fun game to play 6 innings of baeball and see who could NOT lose.
Mik Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 Isn't this America? I thought this was America? RANDY MARSH!
JoeDirt Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 Isn't this America? I thought this was America? RANDY MARSH! That and him taking his shirt off to fight made me laugh the most on this episode by far.
Placebo Effect Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 Randy's storyline was an A+, but everyone trying to lose grew old by the end. Kyle's cousin coming in was genius, though.
syxx2001 Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 I thought they would get Jimmy or Timmy. Randy's bedroom scene was hilarious though.
AmericanDragon Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 BATDAD KNOWS NO FEAR! BATDAD KNOWS NO PAIN! I WANT YOU MARSH! I WANT YOU!
Jericholic82 Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 This was different than the last few weeks. It was a good paradoy, but not too much LOL funny, but a damn good poking fun at society episode.
Modern Man's Hustle Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 It was just a cartoon this week. I like it when they take breaks from having to be controversial and talk about something happening in the news and just make a cartoon. Don't get me wrong, I love the show, this season has been phenomenal, but I enjoy it more when it's JUST A CARTOON.
The Ill One Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 "Oh what, what? I thought this was America!" Honestly, besides Randy's fighting streak this one was mediocre. The first time he took off his shirt I spit my Pepsi out.
Modern Man's Hustle Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 "What? I'm right here. What are you gonna do about it?"
The Ill One Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 I also loved seeing him get thrown off the blenchers through the gatorade table only to have Batdad more or less fall flat on his face. "I didn't hear no bell."
Ripper Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Okay...I am a lil late, but I do have to add that I was laughing my ass off when he came back in the bedroom and was sitting there and his eyes were slightly off, looking exactly like Stallone. And then he does the "I'm SCARED alright!!!" with the finger point. Had me ROLLING. And the first time he took his shirt off....the entire office came over to my computer to se what I was looking at and laughing so hard. Ripper - horrible employee since 02/02/04.
Modern Man's Hustle Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 The Barry Bonds bat was a reference to the "Richer" episode from Season 5. It's Token's, because he plays with autographed bats while everyone else plays with sticks and pinecones.
