Guest Trivia247 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I don't know if this works here but what the hell. We have heard the last time Hogan came back that he was the babe ruth of Wrestling. and sure he is, Babe Ruth was still worked even after his phyiscal career as a baseball player ended, they still dragged him out to wave his hat and hit a slow ball for the delight of the faithful, and once again we see this happening with Hogan again and his one more match.. Now what other Baseball sayings could you equate with current or recently past WWE wrestlers? Babe Ruth = Hogan Explained above Ty Cobb = HHH Absolutely totally hated despised and wished dead by both rival ball club fans and his own team's fanbase. But he was so damn good as a ballplayer you just couldn't stand it. HHH is one of the best out there both in character and in the staying power of a active wrestler, but his character's obnoxiousness in acknowledging how good he is adds to the heelness that people gravitate too. continue the list..
Enigma Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Did Ty Cobb ever fuck the manager's daughter to stay on the team?
Guest Trivia247 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Did Ty Cobb ever fuck the manager's daughter to stay on the team? lol probably not, though he did have alot of Flappers in the roaring 20's
Promoter Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Jim Ross has stated that Ric Flair is the Mickey Mantle of wrestling
Guest Fook Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 So is Scott Steiner the Barry Bonds of wrestling?
razazteca Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 So is Scott Steiner the Barry Bonds of wrestling? Was he a skinny kid during his rookie year?
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I also don't think Steiner would ever be considered one of the greatest, in any way at all...
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Chris Benoit = Randy Johnson Always phenominal, getting old and grizzled, always seen as a "cool" player on a ship that wasn't going anywhere (Seattle Mariners/WCW)... and finally won the Big One alongside an equally talented partner! (Eddie/Benoit walk out of WM 20 with World Titles, Schilling/Johnson walk out of World Series 01 with titles) And now is solidified on the big show... (Raw Main Events, Yankees)
Some Guy Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Jim Ross has stated that Ric Flair is the Mickey Mantle of wrestling Flair has the drinking and womanizing down but as far as I know his knees are in good shape. If Flair is anybody, he is Nolan Ryan or Roger Clemens, old guys who kept on going successfully.

If Flair is anybody, he is Nolan Ryan or Roger Clemens, old guys who kept on going successfully. Thats mostly cuz JR is a hardcore mick fan, being from Oklahoma and all. Benoit=Red Sox, coming close so many times never winning the big one, then finally does, in dramatic fashion and I think Trips would still be the top guy, even if he didnt get with Steph, remember Vince loves big muscular guys.
Vern Gagne Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 So is Scott Steiner the Barry Bonds of wrestling? Bonds got better after using steroids...Steiner didn't.

Benoit=Red Sox, coming close so many times never winning the big one, then finally does, in dramatic fashion And HHH=Yankees, they both represent all that is evil in their businesses. and I think Trips would still be the top guy, even if he didnt get with Steph, remember Vince loves big muscular guys. Probably, he most likely would not be married to her if they didn't push him to the moon with her. He would not however have as much power as he does now had he not married Steph.
Vern Gagne Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 When Chris Benoit becomes the main focus of Raw..than go ahead and compare him to the Red Sox.
A Happy Medium Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Mark McGwire = Scott Steiner Carlos Beltran = Shelton Benjamin Jackie Robinson = British Bulldog Roger Clemens = Undertaker
Jericholic82 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 When Chris Benoit becomes the main focus of Raw..than go ahead and compare him to the Red Sox. he was the main focus, at least thru Backlash 04 lol.
Some Guy Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Jackie Robinson = British Bulldog Did Davey Boy break barrior for British wrestlers in WWF? I don't get the correlation. Ron Simmons=Robinson in WCW and I suppose Rock would be WWF's equivilent.
Vern Gagne Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Comparing wrestlers and baseball players is really lame.
Jericholic82 Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Comparing wrestlers and baseball players is really lame. It must be a slow day here.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Besides the Yankees are still the main focus in baseball...don't kid yourselves Sox fans.
Vern Gagne Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 You can't compare something that's pre-determined with something that's not.
iliketurtles Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Benoit=Red Sox, coming close so many times never winning the big one, then finally does, in dramatic fashion THANK YOU FOR THIS. Cause it's about as close as you can get.
Dimensions Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 CCC = Roberto Clemente...cause they're both puertorican.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Barry Horowitz = Anthony Young of the Mets from the mid 90's Lose every game and the finally....~!
Guest Hass of Pain Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 David Wells as The Junkyard Dog. (Both out of shape regional favorites who like their subtances) Rollie Fingers as Blackjack Mulligan. (Both have silly looking mustaches) Jim Abbot as Zach Gowen. (both missing part of a valuable appendage) Jose Canseco as Tom Zenk. (Both guys who's mouths grew as their skills declined) Don Mattingly and Don Muraco (Both named Don)
Guest Rrrsh Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 As a baseball fan, I am disgusted at the comparison of Ty Cobb and HHH. Cobb is one of the best ever, HHH is garbage compared to Cobb.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 John Kruk = Mark Madden Overweight analysts who suck.
Guest MentallyNormal Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Paul Heyman=Bud Selig? Kirby Puckett=Fatu Because they got rumpage!
