Dimensions 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 [source: PWTorch] -- Although nobody will say anything about it openly, WWE management feels much more comfortable with John Cena carrying a major title, than they do Batista. Batista is very close with Triple H, and it would most likely cause a lot of un-wanted drama if someone were to say something about it. -- The main feeling going around right now is that having John Cena and Batista switch brands during the draft would be a good idea. Many feel that there is no chemistry between Triple H and Batista on the microphone, which is why some are eager to move Batista over to SmackDown. Moving Batista to SmackDown would open up new doors for him as champion, in a possible feud with JBL who he may have better chemistry with.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 So they want to move the WWE and World Heavyweight Belts to the other brand? I didn't watch Raw, so is the draft scheduled to be after Backlash?

Special K 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 There's a problem there, but they're booking Batista at Jerichotastic levels of badness as a champ. His turn was poorly done beyond the original powerbombing. He could have gone off on HHH, said how he formed Evolution because he was scared of Batista and Orton, bliddy bliddy blah. What was his big reason? Another lame HHH cerebral assassin scheme and a lame "you're an asshole." Batista actually had some mic skills, IMO, when he was soft-spoken. Why not go that route? Have a gentle, intelligent giant who looks good in a suit a fuckin' snaps if you fuck with him too much. 'Twould be great.
Guest hhheld_down Report post Posted April 20, 2005 i like it and i dont. I have been wanting them to put the WWE championship as their main focus for a long time as it should be since it is the W W E title and this is the wwe. but then agan that really just about puts the nail in the SD! coffin, it really makes it the secondary show unless they keep the world title 'the' title but its obvious the only reason it gets the most attention is cause its on RAW. Guest TheDon Report post Posted April 20, 2005 Great now they can get the WWE title back on Raw so that HHH can win that another 50 times before he retires in 20 years.
Guest JMA Report post Posted April 20, 2005 On the bright side, switching Batista to a different brand would prevent Triple H from going over him in the future. WWE could also start a feud between Batista and JBL, based on their conflict before WrestleMania.

Guest Coffey Report post Posted April 20, 2005 Personally, as a fan that doesn't get UPN, I'd rather have John Cena on Raw than Batista. Of course, that's just because I haven't seen as much Cena as I've seen of Batista. I'd rather have Carlito over them both. I was upset that Smackdown got MNM too. slimm44 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 [source: PWTorch] -- Although nobody will say anything about it openly So how was this info attained? Seriously, why would people bring this up to post on the internet where someone from WWE will likely hear about it. This is just to cause controversy on who is switching shows
Cheex Incarnate 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 I've been saying this is the route to go since before WrestleMania. This way Batista can avoid losing the belt back to HHH and instead can have fresh fueds with the likes of JBL, Angle, Big Show, and a slew of others. Many have been complaining that Cena seems stale as of late, maybe a change of scenery would do him some good. And I, for one, am much more interested in Cena vs. HHH than HHH vs. Batista in various gimmick matches til SummerSlam. Cena could only get better on RAW working with guys like Benoit, Edge, Jericho, Benjamin. So all in all, i'm in support of this Champ switch. -Cheex
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 I'm sure this is just HHH wanting a chance to "restore prestige" to the WWE Title and truly "make" Cena "a true star."
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted April 20, 2005 How are they losing faith in the guy on week 3? What the fuck is wrong with these people. I bet Triple H got in Vince's ear minutes after Mania ended telling him how Batista was going to bomb.
Guest TheLastBoyscout Report post Posted April 20, 2005 DAMN IT. I don't want Cena and HHH on the same show. PERIOD.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2005 I would be surprised if this happened. The draft will be taking place before Judgment Day, and Cena has been featured prominently in both the advertising and booking for that show. The only way they can move him to RAW is by pushing the draft back.
Special K 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 There's one thing to learn from this: the WWE has an awe-inspiring capacity for killing someone's heat if they want to.

The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Well you have to wonder, considering Batista has barely been on TV AT ALL since he won the belt. I mean, they must be uncomfortable since the supposed top man in the company gets less TV time than the Hurricane. Just fuck this shit...seriously. If Batista was on TV as champion as much as HHH is now, he'd be doing fine.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted April 21, 2005 The sad thing is this is the new thing with the WWF. People tune in to see the new champion and see Triple H still treated as the champion and after a few weeks start tuning out when it's obvious the new champion doesn't appear till 11. jester 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 Many feel that there is no chemistry between Triple H and Batista on the microphone, which is why some are eager to move Batista over to SmackDown. Moving Batista to SmackDown would open up new doors for him as champion, in a possible feud with JBL who he may have better chemistry with. How can they possibly say this (whether it's the feeling at WWE or just someone starting a rumour)? When HHH and Batista were given time together before the turn, they had some great segments. And of course, after the title win, he's been given no time at all. How can they say there's no chemistry?
Some Guy 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 I want someone to name me one guy who HHH has had good chemistry with in the last 3 years. He has had some good matches but the mic work has been horrible with with his opponents, it's pretty hard to develop chemistry when you have to verbally felate your rival. HHH generally swallows his oponents and doesn't let them get over on him, how is chemistry developed that way? I don't see any of this as Batista's fault. The crowd was way behind him up until the the turn and that's when HHH started to cut his knees off. Plus, WWE refuses to push him as champion. As has been said Batista has been on Raw for about 20 minutes total since he won the title 3 weeks ago. HHH generally gets 20+ minutes a week. If any one should be moved off the "flagship" it should be the motherfucker who is dragging it down. You know, the guy who got loud "boring" chants from Vince's favorite crowd. I don't even think I can remember him having abs. Just a weird...muscular....gut.
The Robfather 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 This happens every time Triple H drops the belt. The new champ is treated, still, as a midcarder while HHH dominates the show. I blame this on Vince. He needs to gain control of his company and stop being Steph and HHH's bitch.
tominator89 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2005 I want someone to name me one guy who HHH has had good chemistry with in the last 3 years. Honestly, the only one I can name is HBK. And that's for obvious reasons. I think I have the best solution to the "Batista doesn't have good chemistry with HHH" dilemma....GET HHH OUT OF THE TITLE SCENE! Seriously, allow the champion to fued with someone else. Who the hell can have good chemistry with a guy who shows video packages of himself destroying everyone on the roster? No one is equal and on the level. Maybe if Batista is allowed to work with someone else he'll develop a good rivalry with them and do great business.
