Black Lushus Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 I'm not sure if people would consider it guilty or not, but I like a lot of Duran Duran stuff, especially the 80s stuff....can't go wrong with The Reflex and Rio...
PLAGIARISM! Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 I have nothing against Rio, I just wish those twats would stop getting all these lifetime acheivement awards. They've done sod all.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 One time that "Barbie Girl" song was being played and the better half threw a book at me because I wasn't flipping the channel. I told the bitch she better recognize. Yeah, that's it...
Guest Derek Bailey Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I wouldn't go as far to say that I like it, but I'm worried by the lack of hatred I feel for The Coral's latest single.
Jericholic82 Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 One time that "Barbie Girl" song was being played and the better half threw a book at me because I wasn't flipping the channel. I told the bitch she better recognize. Yeah, that's it...
The Czech Republic Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 I have a bizarre fondness for Len's Steal My Sunshine. It's crap-tastic. Whoa me too. That makes us brothers. Or brother and sister. Are you a girl?
CanadianGuitarist Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 The Love Shack" "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" It's all about the catchy bad dancing. On that note, Get Busy by Sean Paul...although there's memories tied to it(good ones) and at our watering hole, it's jukebox number is an old bank code number and currently in my XBOX gamer tag. Crazy Town-Butterfly I was just debating aloud to myself with which I should be more ashamed of: Workin for the Weekend by Loverboy, or Makin My Dreams Come True by Hall and Oates. Adding to my woes is Loverboy always reminds me of Chris Farley dancing in a thong.
Myxamatosis Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 U2 - One Such a beautiful song, such an unlikable band.
PLAGIARISM! Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 U2 - One Such a beautiful song, such an unlikable band. I've never understood the love for this. If I absolutely HAD to pick one song by this scum, it'd be 'With or Without You'.
The Czech Republic Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 Oh, PLAGIARISM!, they're not scum. I can't find it in me to hate U2, even though Bono is annoying. The aforementioned "With or Without You," "Sunday Bloody Sunday," and "Where The Streets Have No Name" are all outstanding songs.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 I love U2. Pop and earlier, at least, with about a third of that album being a sign of unfortunate things to come. The transition to being adult contemporary world-conscious dads hasn't served them too well.
The Amazing Rando Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 Europe rules. The entire "Final Countdown" album is awesome barring, like, track 2. I hate that damn song. track 4 isn't too good either. Everything else rules though.
Red Baron Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Styx: Come Sail Away With Me is a killer song. Foreinger: Juke box Hero
BUTT Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Europe rules. The entire "Final Countdown" album is awesome barring, like, track 2. I hate that damn song. track 4 isn't too good either. Everything else rules though. I personally never could get into that album, even though I'm a big hair metal fan. I kind of enjoyed "Ninja" and "Cherokee" because of how cheesy they are, and "Carrie" is an OK power ballad, but I didn't find it to be anything special. Also, I'm a big fan of Vanilla Ice's album Hard to Swallow.
Youth N Asia Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkston
Zack Malibu Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkston Heh. To you it's a guilty pleasure. To me, it's something I'm proud to like. She's at least got a ton of talent, unlike a good chunk of the usual pop tarts out there.
DCMaximo Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Oh, PLAGIARISM!, they're not scum. I can't find it in me to hate U2, even though Bono is annoying. "Pop music tells us the world is ok. Rock music tells us that it isn't. but we can change it!"-Bono Would it be unfair to label Bono as scum? As my second piece of evidence, I present the video for "Discotheque", where he thrusts his groin at the camera, while dressed as a policeman.
The Czech Republic Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Having now seen that he's starting a new line of upscale clothing at Saks Fifth Avenue, Bono can fuck himself.
Henry Spencer Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 I love Elton John, but I'm only mildly ashamed of it.
Guest MideonMark Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 Yeah add me to the Elton John list, if there is one. Lets face it 'Your Song', 'Tiny Dancer' and 'I Guess Thats Why they called it the Blues' are all great songs.
PLAGIARISM! Posted May 15, 2005 Report Posted May 15, 2005 I hate 'Your Song' but I love 'I'm Still Standing' and overall he used to be good, so yeah.
PLAGIARISM! Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 I think both UB40 and Simply Red make U2 look very good.
Black Lushus Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 Ewan McGregor's version of "Your Song" is pretty tight...
Red Baron Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 I'm not sure how many country fans there are on this board, but I do like Anything But Mine by Kenny Chesney
Guest Lawlerm Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 Steve Winwood - Higher Love Fucking love that song. Allanah Myles - Black Velvet Billy Ocean - Caribbean Queen The Divinyls - I Touch Myself Alicia Keys - Fallin' Foreigner - I Wanna Know What Love Is Prince - The Most Beautiful Girl In The World Charles & Eddie - Would I Lie To You? Heart - Alone Elton John - Sacrifice N-Trance - Set You Free (Old skool British dance song. Not sure if anyone in America will know it. If not - download it!) I mark for power ballands
Lord of The Curry Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 There's nothing guilty about liking Alicia Keyes.
