The Political Compass

Recommended Posts

Economic Left/Right: -1.50

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.46

World leader / figure I'm apparently closest too, ideologically, is Pope Benedict XVI.

Well, actually, it's probably really Gerhard Schroder, but he's further to the right than I am.

This thread seriously has popped up like 3 or 4 times in the last year...I would do a search but I'm too lazy. Whatever I'll do it again.

Your political compass

Economic Left/Right: 1.50

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.49

In the same quadrant as Thatcher and Hitler. Tremendous...

Holy shit, I'm the most liberal person here.

Your political compass

Economic Left/Right: -7.63

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.18

OK, I knew I was a lefty, but not THAT much. I'm more of a commie than The Dalai Lama, and more of an anarchist than Nelson Mandela. That sounds cool for some reason.

I hate answering questions like that. Things are situational and it's hard to pick a definite answer out of a list.

And I thought pornography between two consenting adults was legal to the adult populaton?

It is, the idea is to place your opinion of it (i.e. some people might not agree it should be legal).

I don't really like this test because it basically offers a bunch of extremist viewpoints along with a few normal ones and then rates you seemingly across the extremist ones.

I've never heard anyone say that anything that's good for big corporations is always going to be good for us.

Fair to whom?

Fair to all, IE. minimizing robber barons and economic explotation of the have not's by the haves. Remember, I have a well developed sense of right and wrong as well ;)

Well, I'm solidly libertarian, all right, not that I didn't know that already. Kinda hard to believe that they couldn't find one world leader to be in that quadrant.

You know, I wonder if that's the case or not, seeing as how I think more liberals prefer kitties than conservatives..

After all, sending the hounds seems like more of a right-wing thing to do lately...

C-Bacon's poll has some pretty loaded question I was like 65% social liberal, 25% economoic liberal.

You are best described as a:

Democrat.

You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness.

Then I did the same thing, only answering as totalitarian as possible, and got 10% social conservative, 65% economic conservative and got:

You are best described as a:

Fascist

You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness.

You heard it here first: (or for the thousandth time) democrats are fascists.
