Dark Match

Harry Smith beat Teddy Hart

Ted Hart was the heel, people didn't seem to know who he was or else I

doubt the crowd would've been so quick to boo him. Harry one with a

sit out powerbomb. There were chants of Bulldog.

Jericho beat Simon Dean (might've been a dark match, maybe was for Heat)

Jericho was crazy over. Maybe the most over of the night. Crowd

popped for everything. Inexplicable constant outburts of "Y2J, Y2J".

Jericho was quick to eat up the crowd reaction. Spent a lot of time

hitting his chest and pointing to the crowd.

Heat

Tomko beat Weasel Star

Crap. Was barely two minutes long and still got a boring chant

Regal beat Sin (Or it could've been Syn or Sid, but I heard people

saying "Sin from OVW")

Slow match. Typical regal offense. He won with a running knee lift. Heh.

Lance Storm beat Maven

An alright match. Lots of love for Lance Storm. Though I seriously

think a fair number of Calgarians don't understand that's he from

Calgary. He won with a top rope crossbody block. Lots of bowing and

posing after the match. He seemed to leave a happy man.

Holy shit, LANCE STORM?! As a Lance fanatic, I was hoping he'd come out to confront Jericho on their match at One Night Stand, but I didn't expect him to actually have a match.

I'm 99.99999999% sure, however unfortunate, that Storm's match was most likely a dark match rather than a bout that will be aired on Heat. :(

As for the rest, I recommend making a note of the Teddy Hart vs. Harry Smith match. Bret Hart's nephew (I think) vs. British Bulldog's son. As a bigtime Hart Foundation mark, I'd love to see those two feud on WWE TV down the line.

Maven's on Bischoff's Anti-ECW Squad. He challenged an ECW guy since Tajiri wasn't there. Storm came out. Storm's wrestling on the ECW PPV. The entire segment was to promote the ECW PPV

It's not like they'd even have to explain his absense other than "This is the first time we've seen Lance Storm in a while and he looks ready for action. I'm sure he'll be apart of that ECW ppv on the 12th."

I know it's the WWE and they don't really think things out, but wouldn't Maven/Simon Dean have a bit of an issue with each other if Maven is anti-ECW and is planning on wrecking the show, while at the same time, Dean (Nova) will at least be making an appearance?

Will Nova alter his appearance so he might not be recognized by those fans who don't know? Will it mark the return of Nova and the abandonment of the Dean gimmick? Or, will they just not mention that he is also Simon Dean, and then let him go back to being Simon Dean and act like it never happened?

If they wanted to do something tongue in cheek they could have Simon Dean join Bischoff's team next week (or the week before the PPV so he never gets physical with the ECW guys. At the PPV, Nova comes out with the bWo, simply never showing up to be with Bischoff's team. The next night you then have the announcers, Bischoff, Maven, etc. questioning and/or screaming at Dean, who claims that he simply had car trouble and couldn't make it to the event.

For this to work, the announcers would have to make note prior to the PPV that Dean used to Nova, though.

So that explains why Jericho's pop was rather toned down we came out on Raw. At first, at least.

But what the hell is Storm doing on Heat? That doesn't make any sense.

It was explained earlier in the thread. It's to further the ECW angle.

Teddy Hart? Cool. He's got a long road ahead of him, but good to see him getting his feet wet.

Y2J would be over if he threw pigs blood into the crowd. They would just, go with it. But matches like this just seem pointless to me. Does nothing for either wrestler. We all know Y2J is high card material, and we all know that Dean at the moment is nowhere near Y2J's league...yet, we get Dean vs Y2J.

Heat

Tomko beat Weasel Star

Weasel Star? The hell? Is that like, legit?

Regal beat Sin (Or it could've been Syn or Sid, but I heard people

saying "Sin from OVW")

Slow match. Typical regal offense. He won with a running knee lift. Heh.

Get Regal back in the commish role, now! Trade him to SD, and get Teddy Long off of my tv. Regal just doesn't have it anymore in the ring...hell, I don't think he ever really did.

Lance Storm beat Maven

An alright match. Lots of love for Lance Storm. Though I seriously

think a fair number of Calgarians don't understand that's he from

Calgary. He won with a top rope crossbody block. Lots of bowing and

Holy toledo. Lance Storm. Good thing I don't care about him THAT much, or I might have actually had to watch the last 6 minutes of Heat. Pretty bad that even still, his own country is looking at him like 'Lance who?'

Synn is a local indy worker.

Storm on Heat wrestling Maven was stupid.

Wavell Starr, indeed.

Ted and Harry have both been wrestling for damn near 10 years each (yes I realize Harry is only 18). Ted has had a lot of chances, but is a prick and always scews them up. Harry has already been offered a contract, turned it down to honor is fathers wishes and become more seasoned wrestling in Japan and such.

The only problem is that as stated already, that Teddy always fucks himself due to him being a complete dick. I highly doubt Vince would sign him with the attitude he seems to have.

Wavell Star is a Native American worker. He has tons of charisma and is pretty good in the ring. His tag line is, or was, "The first nation sensation". He reminds me alot of Eddy Guerrero. I'd love to see him on the main WWE roster.

Man, I wonder what crazy stuff the minds at the WWE would come up with for Teddy Hart. I love his work in JAPW, and his promos are fucking great, but Hart would be so TONED down if he ever gets to the WWE. Good to see he is getting a chance.
