Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 Part of the beef between 50 and Game apparently stems from the fact that Game has publicly stated on multiple occasions that he is a big fan of Nas and Jadakiss. If Dre and Em are forced to choose sides in this it's going to get ugly. Em would side with 50 I'd think but Dre is probably a tougher decison.
UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 Supposedly there is a big West Coast ressurection happening.. Snoop Dogg held some big conference with all the West Coast rappers and has extended a hand to Suge Knight. Daz, Kurupt and Snoop have gotten back together so if all this is going on I definitely think Dre will side with The Game.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 I'd enjoy seeing Em, 50 and the G-Unit leave Shady/Aftermath with only Game left behind. And maybe Yayo, he's the least terrible member of G-Unit.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 Yeah, Em would probrably side with his money since he gets a producers credit from 50's work. As for Dre, who knows where he stands. I'll say I think Em and Dre probrably think 50 is a little out of line getting mad at Game just because he is cool with Jada and Nas. I mean, Em is cool with them too, but you don't see 50 giving it to Em, yet that is. I think 50 is a pretty smart dude and isn't trying to bite the hand that feeds him while he sees Game as his guy and that he should fall in line and not oppose the so-called "general". Still, this has to upset the structure they have set up where Dre eats off of Em(though not as much anymore), Em eats off 50, and 50 eats off Game.

Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 And maybe Yayo, he's the least terrible member of G-Unit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The problem with Yayo is he is the most real of that whole crew. He's the real thug in that group that will do at least half the shit they rap about while the rest are just talk. A guy like that probrably won't be available as much because they are always in court, locked up, etc. Seems most crews nowadays have that one guy that really will do some shit if it comes down to it. Black Child from Murder Inc. comes to mind.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 Who's eating who? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's a term. "Eat off off" is the equivelent of make money from.
Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted June 8, 2005 I can't imagine Em going against Dre, and I can't imagine Dre going against Game, so, hit the bricks 50. Be glad you got more than you deserved. Let's see how well you do without those two. This will be interesting, in any case. This might be the first high profile feud we've seen in a while, even if G-Unit will get slaughtered. I haven't heard anything else about this West Coast revival, or Snoop extending a hand to Suge. Anyone got an article on this?
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 Somebody @ DVDVR posted a lengthy reply regarding the beef that including some interesting tidbits, one of them being that Dre was about to drop Game from his label when Jimmy Iovine interfered on Game's behalf and suggested to Dre that he talk to 50 about getting Game inducted into G-Unit. Gotta wonder what would've happened if Dre had dropped him and Game had signed with somebody else. In the track "Don't Need Your Love" on The Documentary he talks about The Roc and Tha Inc. both passing up deals with him, I gotta wonder who he'd have gone to if Aftermath dropped him. Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted June 8, 2005 Tha Row, and proceed to diss the shit out of everyone involved with Aftermath, I imagine.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 Actually Game has beef with Suge Knight as well, although I heard it kind of cooled off a bit since the smallest infraction will send Knight back to the slammer.
Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted June 8, 2005 Actually Game has beef with Suge Knight as well, although I heard it kind of cooled off a bit since the smallest infraction will send Knight back to the slammer. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, but was it a previous beef, or was it after joining G-Unit?
Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 I hardly see this as i high profile beef. Game will continue to talk shit on 50, and thats about it. I don't see Dre or Eminem getting involved.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 More from Allhiphop.com about the beef.... "The Game seems to be preparing part two of his offensive against 50 Cent and G-Unit. The Compton-bred rapper has stated that he’s prepping a song that will “kill mother f***ers this time around.” Via his Black Wall Street site, Game stated, “About a week and a half from hittin’ the net [is] the title track ‘300 Bars N Running.’ The song will be released by this Tuesday or Wednesday! Once again, I will be ending careers with this one! Also included will be audio from Hot 97 Summer Jam in New York City.” In related news, 50 Cent is rumored to be planning his retaliation through the Anger Management Tour, which launches July 7 in Noblesville, IN." cameron chaos 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 I reckon it's largely a marketing ploy to ressurect the East vs West feud but with people pulling the strings for profit. 50 vs Game is BIG vs 2Pac but with Aftermath making all the bank from the clashes and hype rather than Bad Boy and Death Row. They get to dominate the sales and hype in the market increasing their market share and profits. I think it's pretty smart. I reckon there probably is some genuine tension between both guys but as long as they are part of the same camp and helping each other make money, I can't imagine either wanting the other to drop off in terms of popularity. Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 I agree that there is something peculiar about a feud where both guys are affiliatied in some way shape or form with the same label.
Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2005 I think either the feud is a work, or game is just beefing with 50 to get attention. Since 50 kinda introduced Game to the masses, people see 50 as a bigger figure than Game. Especially when 50 kicks Game outta G-Unit. It makes Game look like a bitch. By calling 50 out, game is just trying to look like a bigger star. He's simply doing it to get more over with the masses.
Guest Thrashist Report post Posted June 8, 2005 I so misread the title the millisecond I clicked it. I thought it was going to be about Triple H calling 50 Cent out at Summerslam. Oh the moment of confusion.
AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2005 Eminem and the Game need to do a sort of "Dre Day 2000" and really let them know they mean business, assuming of course that Eminem is gonna join the battle. On an unrelated note, I've been killing the GZA's "Liquid Swords" album lately. If half of the rap that came out today was as good as this, I'd be buying a lot more rap than I do. Ripper 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2005 Yeah they had that press conference but like a week later, they were right back to beefing. So this wasn't out of the blue. And 50 saying he doesn't need Dre or Em to be successful....THAT is being ungrateful. you can argue who made Game, but 50 was going NOWHERE till Dre and Em made his punk ass. The beef between him and Em/Dre has been brewing for awhile. Get Rich or Die Tryin was the perfect hit album. Every track you could probably hear on the radio with some editing. Every single was ready to be released as a single. With that said, I hated the fucking thing and I liked the Documentary more, but I understand and expect people to like GRODT better. Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2005 I haven't heard the GAme's CD so i can't comment. But 50's first CD was pretty good, and I hate him. But without Dre/EM 50 would be just another underground rapper, who isn't half as good as the other underground rappers. I think dre and em should have gave his beats to obie trice. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2005 I can't remember the name of the song, but I saw a really old video of 50 pre Em/Dre on MTV awhile back, man was it absolutely horrible...
Carnival 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2005 I had heard his name before he blew up, but had never heard any of his stuff, just like obie trice.
ant_7000 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2005 I do have 50's "Guess Who's Back" album which was way before GRODT and it was decent album. "Power of a Dollar" is really hard ass album to find. Someone would've eventually signed 50 because he had a strong mixtape following. But 50 been ungrateful from Oynx to Dre/Em.
