The OAO Raw THHHread for 07.04.05

Well, I'll just point out, it seems Leyla's (the tit girl) little mishap was planned, (or everyone was wearing pasties) because she had own red pasties. (Yea, I watched it again, so what >_>)

It's funny. I knew something was up the moment that match started, but I figured it would be Marty Jannetty running in and doing the superkick ("What do you think of your 'favourite' tag team partner now Shawn?!")...

I'm mad I missed that. I turned as soon as the leg drop got hit, I didn't wanna see that lame shit again. I would've loved to see him get the shit kicked out of him, even if I hate HBK.

bad thing is shawn will probably have to job to hogan with the show coming on for hulk

on the other hand would be nice to have shawn win and be a strong challenger for cena afetr summerslam? (guessing HBK- hulk at SS)

Ya i just got home to see the main event (totally forgetting that it is monday), The match ended the same way last night, Big boot, leg drop, pinfall.

So they pose again and I'm like yawn they just did this last week. So im typing on the computer and turn just as Shawn just hits Hogan, I really didnt see that coming and Yes I marked out mainly because Shawn is a better HEEL then FACE, I believe.

Oh I can't wait to go to Raw on August 1st to see HEEL SHAWN!!

"Hogan held me down for <insert # of years>"

"Hogan, when you were WWE Champion, you were wrestling 1 minute matches at the house shows and it was ME sending the fans happy with main event matches, even though I was a tag team wrestler!"

"now you've come back...older...and balder..."

"Well...you wanna 'Hulk Up'? Brother? Then I'll kip-up. And drive Sweet Chin Music right through your ridiculous moustache...

AT SUMMERSLAM."

You'd buy it.

I would imagine that they would be required so that if what happened tonight actually did happen, they didn't get in any trouble or anything.

Wow.. that was one of the worst Raws I've ever seen. The only thing that was actually good was the Cena-Jericho segment. Everything else was just horrible. The diva segment was just embarrassing.

HBK's turn was surprising, but please tell me it isn't leading to a match at Summerslam. I think we all know that the reason he turned is the usual "you were trying to steal the spotlight" or something. I have zero interest in this.

No Shelton for two staight weeks. It's a good thing he lost his title so he could be traded over to Smackdown or something.. oh wait.

An HBK heel turn was long overdue, but I don't understand why he'd turn on Hogan considering everything he's talked about. The booking team better have a ***** angle planned for this to explain it. However, I don't have enough confidence in the booking team to even throw out a ** angle.

And I guess this puts the kilbosh on any permanent Rockers re-union now, unless Marty comes back heel.

Good God.

I changed the channel after the posing started, took off my shirt to hop in the shower, accidentally turned it back to Spike TV while meaning to turn it to ESPN, see HBK standing over Hogan, and litterally wet myself in shock.

:headbang: In otherwords, great heel turn.

Well this is pretty much awesome. HBK hasn't been a heel since 98, and for those of you who don't remember, he's a better heel than face. I wonder if he'll go the route of the cocky heel again because the man had more heel heat in his last run than anybody in recent WWE history. Shawn can easily become the #1 heel in the WWE again, I just wonder more than ever now how HHH fits in.

I thought Shawn didn't want to turn heel because of his religion? I guess the prospects of a headlining match with Hogan were too much to resist. It doesn't make much sense, but it's just shocking.

Good:

Cena/Jericho promo*

TITTIES TITTIES TITTIES!!**

Shawn/Hogan

Bad:

Everything else

*Cena should have taken a step further in talking about how Jericho is nothing now and all of his accomplishments are years ago. He overused the word "cheap". Y2Cheap? Cheap-sauce? Bad. He just should have said "Y2K was 5 years ago man!". Ah well, Jericho is on job-duty for Summerslam... hopefully it's Summerslam...

**Pasties?! Gah!

I'm really, really pissed that I missed that. I got worn down during the Venis/Dupree segment, and thinking that we were just going to get another formula Hogan match, I forgot to turn back during the main event.

By the time I actually switched the channel, HBK was just standing over an unconscious Hogan. Considering I'm an HBK mark that's gotten bored to death with his face schtick and that I absolutely hate Hogan, I just know that I would have loved this.

WHY, WHY, WHY.... did they have to bore me to death so bad that I didn't get back for the main event.

The Shawn turn didn't surprise me at all... now if they had actually held out for a year and done this to set up a WrestleMania match, THAT would have surprised me. Savage turning on Hogan in the MegaPower feud was awesome because they held out on the turn for so long, and the match itself had a year of build up. Who knows if either of them will last that long though, so it's smart to pull the trigger and do it now.

This is the last of the great instant blockbuster matches that they have.

It's pretty easy. Michaels talks about how many titles he has and how many great matches he has, how he's not a washed up hasbeen, but he's mad playing second banana to Hogan when he's the showstopper, blah blah blah.

Basically, I'm better than Hogan and the fans don't give the respect I deserve.

And you have to go hmm a bit with Angle, Flair, HHH, and Michaels all heel with Flair's comments a few months ago with who he said he wanted to be in a WWE Four Horsemen.

Holy crap.....Fro is exactly right, this is totally setting up the reformation of the 4 Horseman. Angle/HBK/Flair/HHH all heels? Even if you don't like the idea thats too good to pass up, thats the best formation of the horseman since the original. And you have a strong face like Cena to battle them along with Hogan.

I liked how the kick came out of nowhere. There didn't seem to be any obvious setup as far as where they were standing (like Flair obviously getting in place to lowblow Batista).

Good show for it being a holiday. During the main event I was thinking how much I miss the heel HBK and my prayers were answered when he SCM'd Hogan. Great way to end the show, and now Michaels is worthy of being in my fantasy league.
