Finally! Kurt Angle DVD announced...

Recommended Posts

The WWE released some info on their upcoming DVD’s. A New Kurt Angle DVD, History of the WWF/E World title and Fully Loaded all on 12-30. The Great American Bash is out on 8-23, SummerSlam on 9-20 and The Ultimate Warrior on 9-27

Start speculating on what matches will/should appear on Angle's set. And what about this Fully Loaded DVD for December? That should be Survivor Series projected date, and I thought that show was scrapped for this year? Anybody has any info on this?

I wonder if they'll release the uncut Brock Ironman match.

A History of the WWF(E) Title should be at least 3 discs long.

What was that about Survivor Series? And hasnt Fully Loaded been scrapped since at least WMX17?

So I can relieve the very shitty booking?

I second that about the Title and stress the words AT LEAST.

I was just saying that December 30th should be the release date for the Survivor Series 2005 DVD, since SS is on mid-to-late November and the DVDs are taking almost exactly one month to come out, except for ONS which was clearly a rush job.

So a 12-30 release date for another PPV DVD other than SSeries seems kinda odd, specially if it's a PPV that as far as I know is no longer on WWE's calendar.

I for one would like to see that Iron Man match on DVD, as I really liked it, enough for a **** from me at least. Specially sweet would be bonus footage from the commercial breaks. As for other matches I'd like to see, Angle vs Rock (the Title win should be a lock, but the rematch at NWO would be great) and Angle vs Undertaker (from SD!)

And I can't even start to fathom what could possibly be included on a History of the WWF/E Title set. But I second that 3-disc motion.

I don't think these are actual releases. They've been listed for a while now, and there's been no updates. Probably just a mistake.

vs. Benoit vs. Jericho (Wrestlemania 2000, loses both titles)

vs. The Rock (No Mercy 2000, wins WWF title)

Armageddon 6-man HIAC

vs. The Rock (No Way Out 2001, loses WWF title)

vs. Chris Benoit (WM 17)

vs. Shane McMahon (KOTR 2001)

vs. Steve Austin (Summer Slam 2001)

vs. Steve Austin (Unforgiven 2001, wins WWF title)

w/Benoit vs. Edge/Rey (No Mercy 2002)

Please let his promo the night after his No Mercy 2000 win be on it.

"I was the first ever EuroContinental Champion in WWF history . . . well, actually D-Lo Brown was the first ever EuroContinental Champ, BUT HE DOESN'T COUNT!"

And the History of the WWF/E Championship COULD be a re-release of the 1987 Coliseum Video of the same name.

These DVD's have been listed for a while now, as early as 2001 I started seeing the "History of the Championship" DVD available on 12/30 from Amazon.com. Think about it folks, the "industry standard" for DVD releases is Tuesday, and 12/30 is on a Friday this year. That should tell you enough.

Do you guys think that his match w/ Flair from last week's RAW desrves to be in the DVD?

A more logical match listing for the Angle DVD would contain two or three WWF matches and tons of WWE 2002-now stuff.

Which isn't bad, because I think Angle's been better after the name change than he was before.

I want one of his matches against Charlie Haas on their from Smackdown. Either the one when Haas was in WGTT or the one when Angle returned from injury.

The Jannetty match on DVD would be AWESOME.

It may get on, seeing that it's his match with a Wrestling LEGEND.. and he won. I didn't see the match, but it could.

The thing with Angle is he's had WAY too many good matches.

I don't think they should put the match against Benoit from RR 2003 on there though, because it's been on 2 or 3 DVD's already.

They did an Angle home video a few years back that covers all of this.

On a side note I really wish they'd include entrances on the DVDs.

Actually Meat was going by Shawn Stasiak by that point

and they should really stop putting matches already available on dvd on new dvds. The iron man uncut would be nice, as well as perhaps then angle-taker match from sd for the undisputed title in july 02.

As for the blurring, I think Vince needs to step up and come to some sort of agreement with the other WWF about the logo issue. Give them some cash so they can stop having to blur the scratch logo, it make sno sense as it is (are they reall going to get sued if they dont blur out a freakin logo on a video?). It would also be nice if they wouldn't have to edit out people saying wwf or the letters on the screen, its pretty dumb. As long as they are not promoting the dvds with the wwf initials I dont see the problem with them being on the actual video.

Take that money youre wasting on the diva crap and fork it over to those panda lovers, stat..

Of course this would lead to all of us asking for reissues of the recent dvds with blurring on them and for free tradeins for those who already bought them.

I don't understand why make a Kurt Angle DVD now. He's not retiring from the ring now, is he? His career isn't over so I'm sure he'll have few more matches that could get on this DVD. I think they should wait until he officially retires and them make the DVD which would feature some of his greatest matches. It makes more sense to me that way.

Considering the guy has a screwed up neck, back, and limited strength in both arms due to nerve damage I don't see him going for too many years more so I agree it would be best to put together a comprehensive career retrospective rather than one now, especially if they try kayfabe it like they did on his first video. I think he'd be more likely to open up and be honest after his work, in both senses, was done. Commentary tracks of how matches were laid out by Angle would definitely be interesting to me.

The problem with Angle's DVD is there's not really something different (WCW, ECW, Japan, etc) that they could show to make it really attractive.
