Guest *KNK* Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 If Cena does turn who wants to bet his excuses will be as good as Austin's post WMX7. (ie completely poor) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I remember Austin's "heel turn". Horrible. McMahon breaking up Rock's count and helping with the beatdown getting cheered by the Astrodome, and JR's trying to tell the audience that Austin "sold his soul to the Devil!" Bad build, bad execution, par for the course. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bad build? The whole match was built to the finish, Austin grew more and more desperate as the match went down, He literally broke down everything that he built in himself in order to get what he coveted. The bad execution was the fault of the hometown crowd still cheering for Austin and Austin's weak excuse the next night and aligning him with Hunter. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> By "bad build" I mean the whole thing shouldn't have happened in Austin's "hometown" (close enough). They bet that Rock's popularity would overcome it. I know they feel like they needed to end it with a bang and they couldn't turn Rock (I guess) but there should have been some way around it and turn Austin ANYWHERE but Houston, or Texas in general. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It had to happen @ Mania, there was no alternative. It was just bad planning for it to be in Austin's home state. They booked the AstroDome a year ahead of time... well before they knew they would do this.
Big McLargeHuge Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Couldn't they at least have him go out like a man?
Anakin Flair Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Cena's got a 'What the Hell' look on his face... And to think, all Jericho wanted at one time was to be fired by Bischoff...
DMann2003 Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 It was Hunter's idea for Jericho to play it as a sniviling crybaby :-)
Guest *KNK* Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 A whiner to the end. Adios Christoper.
BorneAgain Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 What's the kayfabe reason for Jericho not simply be hired by Teddy Long on Smackdown?
Guest *KNK* Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Here's your Unforgiven build, Jericho's long forgotten.
Guest JMA Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 So much for Cena turning heel. There was no way that was happening.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Boy they didn't waste any time with Angle did they? It's like Heyman's booking, only not as well executed.
dubq Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Why is Angle doing this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Gee I dunno. Maybe he wants to be champion? *gasp*
MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 I guess Kurt is Bischoffs new guy. which will kill off the chants for Angle.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Beat a retard, get the #1 Contendership. Everyone starts lining up to beat up Eugene..
Guest *KNK* Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 What's the kayfabe reason for Jericho not simply be hired by Teddy Long on Smackdown? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "Chris Jericho is in legal courts right now trying to reverse the decision of Eric Bischoff, due to this, Jericho is not available to dicuss neogotiations of with other brands" "Dat playa is damaged goods, beledat"
razazteca Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Why is Angle doing this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Gee I dunno. Maybe he wants to be champion? *gasp* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Could'nt they wait until next week to do a bounty storyline?
Conspiracy_Victim Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 I side with those who like the "evil, dangerous" Angle. He still needs to bring back the Bizarro World black tights though.
Astro7x Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Angle has just been screaming Intensity tonight... I just wish Angle wasn't aligned with Bischoff... why does Angle need to align himself with anybody?
Boon Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Angle getting rewarded for his mean streak and taking out Bischoff's nephew- really quite simple reason for him to be #1 contender.
Guest JesusJuiced Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 How did tonights Cena/Jericho match compare to last nights?
Spaceman Spiff Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 I just wish Angle wasn't aligned with Bischoff... why does Angle need to align himself with anybody? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It got him the #1 contenders shot.
ChrisMWaters Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 For some sick reason, if Jericho's sabbatical isn't too long, I could see Jericho costing Angle the match against Cena, just to get payback for Bischoff firing him.
razazteca Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Angle getting rewarded for his mean streak and taking out Bischoff's nephew- really quite simple reason for him to be #1 contender. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What people remember storylines from last year?
ChrisMWaters Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 How did tonights Cena/Jericho match compare to last nights? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think last night's was better due to no Bischoff interference.
AndrewTS Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 Angle getting rewarded for his mean streak and taking out Bischoff's nephew- really quite simple reason for him to be #1 contender. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What people remember storylines from last year? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How about Edge's briefcase?
Ed Wood Caulfield Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 I also think the Cena/Jericho match from last night was better.
