Are they the same as Toad the Wet Sprocket?

 

I came across a Toadies CD which featured 'Possum Kingdom'.

 

Now, I swear I remember having a guitar mag from 1996 featuring a Transcription to Possum Kingdom by Toad the Wet Sprocket.

 

If not, what did The Wet Sprocket do?

Toad the Wet Sprocket was a band in the Hootie and The Blowfish Genre

Toad The Wet Sprocket had hits with 'AllI Want', 'Walk on the Ocean', and 'Something's Always Wrong'. They were playing a harmonized, often acoustic, take on alternative rock (or, "the Hotie & Blowfish genre") from about '87 on.

 

Alot closer to CSNY than Hootie....

Possum Kingdom is a great song. What was their other single off Rubberneck? Was it I come from the water?

I dont think 'Come from the Water' was released as a single....I think Mister Love was their other biggest hit.

They had music videos for "Possum Kingdom", track 6 ("When I'm Away"?), and "Tyler". For their 2nd album, the first single was "Motivational".

A girl I know, I've been calling her angel since an incident involving me being stoned in our drama class four years ago.

 

I'll often sing 'Angel' songs at her, this is ideal.

 

Perfectly acceptable song. Pretty good driving tune as well.
