Mr T making his comeback in Rocky 6

Posted on Fri, 26-Aug-2005

The one-time poster boy for gold-chains, Mr T, will return to the film series that helped kick off his career.

The former "A-Team" star will reprise his role as boxer Clubber Lang in "Rocky 6", opposite Sylvester Stallone.

The tough-talking 80's icon confirmed his involvement in the sequel on radio's Howard Stern show.

In the new movie, Clubber Lang - who played Rocky Balboa's opponent in "Rocky III" - will now be a commentator.

Lang mightn't be the only series star making a comeback in the new sequel. The characters of Duke (played by Tony Burton in the films) and Paulie (played by Burt Young in all the flicks) are also reportedly pencilled in to return. Dolph's still waiting for his invo.

Thanks to 'AB King'

Adrian is dead in the opening scene and Rocky boxes at age 60

Fun Fact: Sly was the 1st choice to play He-man before Dolph got the part in MOTU

But what is the storyline?

I think originally it was going to be Rocky training his son, but it got changed to Rocky fighting again ala George Foreman.

cool, does this mean well get another training montange set to a cheeesy 80-style inspirational rock/pop song?

my bets on the story, Tommy Gunn is friends again with Rocky (though Tommy Morrison has AIDS and had to retire in real life so don't know if hed be possible for the film as I ahvent heard about him in years ), but the don king ripoff guy challenges Rocky to fight the bastard love child of Apollo Creed and Ivan Dragos wife.

Morrison is in prison.

Edit:

Actually he isn't. he is doing pretty well it seems. Yeah...bring him back...he needs the money. Although his story would make a great movie.

If there ever was a recipe for a movie that should not be made, this is it. A 60 year old Stallone fighting?

Rocky V was bad enough. Now I'm going to have to spend 10 bucks to see this crap. (yeah, I'm from Philly so it's not really an option)
