Heading into Homecoming

September 26, 2005

Mr. McMahon made a shocking announcement on RAW last week as he set up a WWE Championship match for WWE Homecoming on Oct. 3. After Angle defeated Cena by disqualification at Unforgiven, he thought he would be the logical choice, but the Chairman threw Angle and Bischoff a curveball and announced that Cena would go one on one with the General Manager himself. Bischoff tried his best to get out of the match, but to no avail. He has tried to stack the odds against Cena in the past, will Bischoff have something up his sleeve for RAW this Monday? Whatever he does, he better keep in mind that Mr. McMahon will be on RAW this monday, as well.

Plus, after defeating Carlito for the second straight night and retaining his new Intercontinental Championship, Ric Flair was blind-sided by The Masterpiece Chris Masters while tussling with Carlito. Masters left him laying and Carlito added insult to injury by spitting apple chunks into his face. How will the Dirtiest Player in the Game react to the complete lack of respect?

And Matt Hardy will face Edge in a Loser Leaves RAW Money in the Bank Ladder Match in two weeks. Will the two bitter enemies try to one up each other to gain an advantage heading into the biggest match of their careers?

Tune in to RAW Monday night at 9/8 p.m. CT on Spike TV for all this and more.

I'm going to assume this will be nothing but two hours of hype for Raw Homecoming next week.

Trish vs. Victoria for the Women's Title had been announced for tonight's show

...for some sick reason, I want them to build this up.

Ala older Survivor Series events, have the evil girls bring someone else into the group...maybe Lita...then have Trish and Asley bring up two girls.

Match at Survivor Series between the four.

...OK, I'll wait for the white coats to get me.

The strong showing of "Everybody Hates Chris" effectively kills any negotiation position WWE has with Viacom.

Tables matches are so 1998. The idea of winning a match by smashing an opponent through a piece of furniture seems so...archaic. It's more appropriate for backyard wrestling than WWE. I'd rather see someone win by just beating the crap out of their opponent with their fists.

I'd pay to see SPIKE cut off McMahon the second he mentions the USA Network.

This is sad...

Which RAW match on Oct. 3 on the USA Network are you most looking forward to seeing?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Edge vs. Hardy 32.46 %

Cena vs. Bischoff 67.53 %

Because everyone knows that Hardy has no chance in hell against Edge. I'm wondering if KANE will make his return tonight, chokeslamming Matt then turning his attention on Lita which allows Edge to hustle up the ladder to win the match.

Plus everyone loves kickboxer Bischoff. It's a ratings gem.

In some twisted way maybe the wwe feels the same way and that's why they canned the Dudleys. It makes sense in their minds to now do the match with guys who can't pull it off. WWE logic 101!!!
