bob_barron 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2006 I might be in a minority about the Jim/Pam stuff but I'm not really digging it as much as some of you guys are. To me, the Office is just a silly show with humour and no seriousness. With the development in the last episode and Jim telling Pam his feelings, I just hope this doesn't interfere with the comedy and they control the level of "serious" moments. Usually I'd agree with you, since most sitcoms doing drama suck and it comes off as forced. That's what makes The Office so good, is that they do dramatic moments so well, and you really care about the characters. Booze Cruise is so depressing, but it's great TV. As was the episode where they watched Michael on that kiddie program.

Robert 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2006 Tonight is Sexual Harassment with David Koechner as Todd Packer. I think this was the first episodes of season two. Some pretty funny moments on the show, and www.theofficequotes.com is a great place for Office quotes.
EricMM 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2006 bob, you need to start smoking, or chewing toothpicks, or something. You would look a lot better with something sticking out of your mouth. Maybe it's just your face in that last pic, but, I dunno. It would help. They come in mint now, you know.

bob_barron 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2006 I finally saw Lollilove last night, and it's hilarious. It's incredibly offensive, but James Gunn owns the movie. Jenna's awesome as well, and looks really hot. And Kitty from Arrested Development is in it too, so yay. The webisodes start next Thursday. I think Dwight has a cameo in one of them. And tonight they re-aired Casino Night, but it was only the 30 minute version and it really wasn't as good.
Robert 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2006 Amazon has a The Office: Season 2 page up, with a September 12th release date. I'm gonna try to reserve this one, like the other seasons. The Office: Season Two Well, I just wasted taping all of season two and wasting 20 bucks on tapes. I taped that with the first season of My Name Is Earl. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2006 The DVD is going to have lots of commentaries, and also home movies that Jenna Fischer shot on set. It will also have the webisodes and the More You Know PSAs they did around April Fool's.
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2006 Bob, is Lollilove out on dvd, or in theaters? Haven't heard much on it. Also, does anyone know if they're going to offer a package of Season 1 & 2 together? Do they ever do that? Season 1 is so short.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2006 Lollilove is on DVD- you can get it at amazon and deepdiscount. It went straight to video, and was produced by Troma. The movie cost about $2,
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 Well, I just bought the first season on of the Office and then watched "The Fire" and "Halloween" which I recorded during the marathon and had never seen before. It's kind of weird watching them all in a row like that. They're still pretty hilarious, but the melancholy from the whole Jim/Pam thing comes through a lot more since it's the only thing constant betwen them. I had to watch the end of "Casino Night" again (also on my DVR), just to get myself back in a decent mood about the whole thing. Jim and Pam need to be together damn it! bob_barron 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 I actually hope they do more melancholy depressing episodes. I still want the show to be hilarious, but I really like when they take chances and do dramatic scenes.
the max 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 I don't think of them as depressing; I think of them as real. It's pretty easy to identify with Jim above any other character and I'm sure that a lot of guys that post on the board have been in at least one of the situations that he's found himself in with Pam so far. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 Yea, real is a better word for it. I noticed in the second half of the season, they started to do more episodes like that, and it made The Office a better shpw for it. Based on interviews I've read, it sounds like it's going to be a love triangle this season. David Denman (Roy) is hoping that they do a bit to humanise Roy, and I agree. It'd be nice to see things from his side of the story, and explore why him and Pam are together.
