Sass 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 Guys like Arnold Schwarzenegger (possible Terminator sequel and King Conan sequel), Sylvester Stallone (Rocky 6), and Bruce Willis (possibly Die Hard 4) are starting to go back to the well too many times and are now poorly (de)evolved aging action stars who are sucking off the dried up tite of the franchises that made them famous. They're playing it too close to the vest when looking for box office cash. It's both lame and disgusting to watch, no matter how good the final product might turn out to be. I pray that another Indiana Jones movie doesn't get made.
Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted October 21, 2005 I so can't wait for this movie as I'm a big Rocky fan. This is gonna break my non going to the theatre movie streak. Just great, motavational movies
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2005 I actually thought the script excerpts in the Stallone magazine were pretty freakin good. Better than all of rocky 5. Surprisingly good as a matter of fact. As long as the story takes into account and dramatically acknowledges his age and doesnt try to pass him off as younger and healthy, i'm interested in it. Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2005 Rumoured actors so far for the part of Rocky's main rival are The Rock and Roy Jones Jr.
Dandy 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2005 I read that Antonio Tarver was signed. It was reported by some boxing site. I got the info from a thread on IMDB, though, and the majority of the posters there have an IQ slightly lower than their age.

That alone could make this my fav movie of the series. Anyone who does not watch this movie is not a man. Oh my goodness this is gonna rule.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2006 I like the looks of it, Rocky looks old and like he has nothing to lose. That's perfect. Hopefully they don't mess it up.

vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2006 I think I had an orgasm watching those teasers, and it had nothing to do with Sly Stallone's chiseled 60 year old abs. I think I might be one of the few people that thought that Rocky V was good. Rocky's just such a great character. I don't think Stallone's made any good non-Rocky movies, but he always brings the goods when it comes to Rocky movies. And Paulie and his snowcones. Good Lord, I haven't been this excited for a movie in years.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2006 Whatever. It will make atleast 60 million. It still shouldn't be made. Fuck the haters...it's Rocky. I'm so excited. The clip they had in one of the Rocky blogs, with some song called Take It Back, gave me chills.
Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted June 28, 2006 Whatever. It will make atleast 60 million. There's no way on earth this won't make at least $100 million and probably a lot more. For a lot of people this is bigger and better news than even the return of Star Wars. WP -- Shall now look for the trailor Bob Barron mentioned.

Dr. Zaius 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2006 Rocky should've stopped at III. And now when I think of Apollo Creed, I think "does she get a shift meal, or just pay half price on select menu items?" I'm going to go get a drink refill. You know you can get unlimited refills on any drink you want... and it's free?
Maztinho 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2006 When reigning heavyweight champion Mason Dixon hears Rocky has returned to the sport, he offers him a big payday-if he'll step in the ring with him for a fight of the ages. Mason Dixon? IS THIS SERIOUS? Although I mark for Rocky and I'll totally go see this. Mason Dixon be damned.
Guest Arnold_OldSchool Report post Posted July 7, 2006 Mason "The Line" Dixon is the villian's name. Rocky 6 trailers are to appear before Pirates OTC in select cities. It comes out Dec. 22nd now- up 2 months from its 1st release date
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2006 I heard from some where that everyone's favorite Rocky character... Clubber Lang will have a role in the movie. I pray to god he does...
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2006 He plays a boxing commentator I think. Rocky's not attached to Pirates, they are produced by two different companies.
Guest Arnold_OldSchool Report post Posted July 7, 2006 Mr T's IMDB has no mention of him in Rocky 6. I got the Pirates info off of IMDB.com boards... sorry if it was an error
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2006 I thought I read about his character in the script Sly posted in his magazine. I'm beyond excited for this movie
BruiserKC 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2006 Rambo IV might...MIGHT...have a chance. There wasn't much of a drop-off in quality the way Rocky's later films did.

bob_barron 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2006 The plot sounds insanely idiotic, but I know I'm going to love every second of this movie
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2006 If they want to make it accurate, they should have Rocky talking like Muhammed Ali. That would make it at least believable.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2006 http://youtube.com/watch?v=eQzcbnjtPpE&...=Rocky%20Balboa LOL, that was great! As for the title change from what I researched, it is a sequel but more of a "stand alone". There are also similar elements in this one that there are in the 1st movie. So I'm assuming Stallone is trying to get the 1st feel back into this one and make it stand alone instead of being another chapter. It is like the previous 5 rocky movies were just one long novel and they were a long chapter each. This one is a whole new book.
