What is really sad is the angle in OVW was probably a contender for angle of the year and was really upstaging the WWE brains. They hate it when someone upstages them and points them out for being completely useless frauds.

I love absolutely love Matt Cappotelli (cuz I have a huge crush on him) but I just can't stand Mike the Miz. I thought Matt was taging with Johnny Jeter in OVW? They should've brought him up with Matt, instead of Mr. Reality Whore (who's an absolutly terrible wrestler, btw.)

In all fairness, Jeter/Cappotelli for the title can be construed as a blowoff, anyway. I don't think Heyman was thinking of booking them together past the title match - there are too many feuds for Jeter to be anchored down to a program that has hit its peak.

 

Bringing up the Bashams together was fucking with OVW. This, however, is more to get Mizanin out there with the public than to rip Cappotelli from Heyman. They'll still do their OVW commitments, probably spending more of their team there than on the main roster .

Usually people stay in OVW for about 4-6 weeks after debuting on SD, so we will get a proper blowoff to the angle.

I don't think this was meant as "they'll debut at the tapings" but rather that they'll be on that roster. Smackdown seems to be the "tag show" nowadays, with MNM, LOD, FBI, Mexicools, Regal/Burchill, and now the Tolands (who were the team who debuted last week, attacking the Mexicools).

 

Capotelli is still hurt/rehabbing, although he's coming back to OVW to take on Jeter in several weeks. He was ready to be called up earlier in the year to be part of MNM, as the office wasn't sure about calling up Joey Matthews/Mercury, since he was in OVW on his own, not as part of a developmental deal.

 

Miz has also done dark matches with Chris Cage in recent months, it's possible those two could be combined into a team.

Capatelli and Miz actually worked as a team for a dark match at the Smackdown! tapings I went to in July. They took on the Highlanders.
