Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2005 I can't wait for this series to be over. I'm so utterly bored watching the Astros "hit" that I'm contemplating cleaning while they're up.

Brush with Greatness 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2005 In all seriousness, if Houston wins this game, then winning the series is by no means would winning the series be a stretch with the likes of Clemens, Pettite and Oswalt throwing potentially the final three games. Yeah, yeah, I know Contreras, Buerle, and Garland are hot right now and have had excellent seasons but they do not have the consistent track records of the three Astro pitchers who are capable of single handedly winning games (as much as a pitcher can singlehandedly win you a game). Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2005 An Astros win would require them to score at least one run, something that at this point, doesn't look like will ever happen again.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2005 Now now, all they have to do is hit left of the yellow line, and they'll be credited a home run...

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2005 Weren't the Yanks a lot better than their pythagorean during their championship years from 96 to 00? They still are. It's an unusual phenomenon, and the only reasonable explanation I can draw is Mariano Rivera.

mike546 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2005 Astros should have borrowed the Irish Tenner from the Yankees, maybe that would help them score.
