Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Nate Robinson was probably the steal of the draft. No joke. Knicks better utlitize him well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He'll be a spark plug off the bench, no doubt. However, I think Villaneuva dropping to Toronto or Granger dropping to Indiana turns out to be the real steal. Watch out of Francisco Garcia in Sac as well. Kismet 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 Pistons came to a contract extension agreement with Tayshaun Prince last night. Terms I saw listed was 5 years/47 million.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 I read 5 years/$50 Million. I'm still scratching my head over the Warriors giving Dunleavy 5 years/$44 million. They must see something I don't. While he's improved his scoring average, I'm not sure it warranted that kind of extention.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 not a bad deal, considering what prince gives the team. It might be a tad ovepriced for other teams, but his value to detroit is higher. i'd heard prince wanted 50+ initially. I think they'll have just enough to give ben wallace the max deal next year. Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2005 C-Villian didn't drop, he went about 5-10 picks earlier than everyone expected.... Granger was a steal, but I'm not sure how much run he gets on Indy. What did he do pre-season? I agree on Francisco Garcia, I think he'll be a really solid pro, and I like the fit for him on Sacto Gerald Green dropping to Boston at 18 was surprising, a lot of experts had him in the lottery. Reports out of Boston are positive, but Doc thinks he'll need a few years to develop, obviously. I also liked the Hawks getting Salim Stoudamire in the second rd, and the Griz getting Hakim Warrick at 19, he's a pretty dynamic player EDIT* surprised Prince got so much money, but he's a lot more valuable than his stats would lead you to believe, plus he's steadily improved his scoring and realistically can be a 18-20 a night type guy. Add in his great defense and I suppose the deal is warranted, they definitely couldn't let him get away

Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 C-Webb with a double-double at the half, 18-10, 8/13 fg, and toss in 4 assists, 2 blocks and steal. That's a better game in 20 minutes than anything he did on the 6ers last year.

Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 Fuckin Kings. Way to come out and play like complete and total pussies. I know it's only the first game, but it's the Hornets. The Kings are playing like they are still in preseason mode and there is zero energy and no execution whatsoever. I'm still banking at the end of the season, the Kings will have a better record than the Hornets.
strummer 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 anyone noticing how completely dead the San Antonio crowd is? I know it's the first game and all and they had the ring ceremony, but it's tough to watch a game when the audience is hardly responding. I like the NBA and all but it's hard to get into the November and December games.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 Boykins is trying to do everything by himself out there, or the Nuggets could have this game in the bag already.

Krankor 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 Christ. The Kings got stomped by the Hornets. I wasn't expecting that at all. Should the Kings be concerned? They just got blown out by one of the worst teams of last year. I kept hearing in preseason how stacked the Kings bench was with talent. Where was that talent tonight? The Spurs were not that impressive tonight either. Denver let that game get away because of lack of concentration. If Denver knew how to closeout games they would have beat San Antonio. Parker and Finley were huge in that 4th quarter for the Spurs.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 Anyone else using SportsInteraction.com? If Dallas/Phoenix stays under 215 points total (180 going into overtime), I make 10.93 off of a $3.00 bet. It was a combination bet with DEN/SA going over 189 points.

jwpeer 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 Some thoughts based on highlights/results: San Antonio looked good, they came out slow but who would expect them to do anything else. There's gonna be games where oberto, Finley, Van Exel, Udrih and Rasho are all gonna play together and beat out other teams starting five, that's how deep this damn team is. If they WANTED to they could prolly win virtually every game, but they no the value of patience in this league. i'm thinking I'm gonna be a Milwaukee fan this year too, I love the way T.J. Ford plays, he's exciting and I love his passing, Redd is a great shooter and Bobby Simmons is just plain GOOD. Not to mention Andrew Bogut looks like he can play (3 blocks is a good sign, he was criticized for not being a great shot blocker coming out of college, but at least in his first night he's using his size well) OKC Hornets beat Sactown, that's surprising, maybe the Kings should just blow everything up and get some value for peja. Didn't watch Pho/Dal last night though, had to get some sleep.
