Downhome 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2005 True, but after a while it gets old. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh of course, but I don't think we've quite reached that point here yet.

Guest Leelee Report post Posted November 4, 2005 Jobber, probably. Because the kids in Fishyswa's area didn't start trick or treating yet.
Guest Fishyswa Report post Posted November 4, 2005 Can a mod get rid of worthless posts like Downhomes gem there? "As for holidays that most people participate in, Halloween past 9:00 on a weekday night is not one of them. Kids have school in the morning; parents have work." Work at 9, school 9:30, older kids stay out until 2 regardless. If you couldn't be out past 9 on Monday you were in the minority. Most trick or treaters don't come out until dinner's over, and they sure as hell don't go out for an hour.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2005 Steelers were playing monday night. Steelers = ratings <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I Watched MNF while I tivo-ed RAW and Prison Break, and then after the game I fast forwarded through RAW missing all the commercials which actually made the show a wee bit better. Guest HeadDropMark Report post Posted November 4, 2005 Don't let logic and the realities of real life get in the way of smarks engaging in WWE bashing. IT WAS FUCKING HALLOWEEN. Sorry but around here, when it's halloween, everyone with a life is either at a club, party, or out on the streets. This "oh it ends at 8" and "most parties were on the weekend" shit doesn't fly. 90% of Halloween parties were on Monday. Curfew around here is 10 and isn't even enforced until 11:00. If you were sitting home watching TV monday between the hours 0f 7-11, you were in the minority. But go ahead and tell me I live in bizarro world, and how this rating is a clear sign that the WWE is dying, and how next weeks 3.6+ is just the result of people looking for a TNA replay. Sometimes the air is just ripe with crack smoke in this forum.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2005 TNA's replay rating went up this week BTW...so the party excuse should be thrown out. Unless everyone parties like pussies and is home and sober by 12.

Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2005 20% increase.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2005 So if the ratings went from a 0.1 to a 0.2 would people be saying "wow, a 100% increase, great!!" Seems a bit misleading to me for such low number. It's already discussed on the TNA forum but the 0.1 increase it's probably the people who didn't catch the original airing since saturday's show dropped 0.1 from the week before. Enigma 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2005 I live in Athens, GA (aka a college town) and every Halloween party I knew of took place on either Friday or Saturday. Anybody that had a Halloween party on Monday must not have a job or a class to attend on Tuesday.

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2005 Regardless of what really caused the drop in ratings we all have seen and heard about Vince's reaction to low ratings. How often does he take logic into effect when the ratings dip? Someone will be made the scapegoat for the ratings dip and be shipped off to Heat for awhile. razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2005 It was obviously Jonathan Coachman's fault! So Vince will get back at Coach by humiliating him by forcing him to do karaoke of Tom Jones songs.

World's Worst Man 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2005 From Meltzer's Friday update More excuses for Raw's rating on Monday after the "it's Halloween" was blown away by the fact football, UFC and most everything else on TV was up Monday night this week but Raw are: 1) The price of gas; 2) Fans were waiting to see a.m. Raw over the weekend; 3) The rating would have been 3.0 if Jim Ross was still there; 4) The liberal media Pretty funny. geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2005 That really makes fish look like a complete moron. Apparantly the only group partying Monday night was the raw demo, which, by the way, is now on average over 30.

BruiserKC 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2005 There's no one trickortreating on the East coast at 9pm. They're all done before 8 hits. Remember...it's dark now at 5:30 EST...and no one's handing out candy at 9 that has to be at work at 7 the next morning. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not to mention in some parts of the country...like here in Iowa...we actually take the kids out the night before...Beggar's Night was Sunday. RAW BABY!!! Of course I'm at work Saturday mornings and can't watch it. But if I could, I would. My intention to watch should count in the ratings. . . . I'm still curious as to what part of NY has an enforced 10 PM curfew, yet still had people trick or treating at 11:30, but he casually sidestepped that argument too. Only an idiot would say that Halloween was a big enough non holiday to impact TV ratings, so there you go.
