Blah.

Now that the Clippers are winning, it's not so fun to cheer for them anymore. :(

L.A. Clippers beat the Warriors 113-101 to go to 8-2........Even drew chants of "MVP" during the game

Sam Cassell is the MVP of the team

You know that, I know that. Hell I thought Cassell was the MVP of league two seasons ago.

However Brand has been playing out of his mind lately so he deserved the love. He has to be the shoe in for Western Conference player of the week.

Man, Houston is straight-up bad without T-Mac. Another embarrassing offensive showing today at Indy. Yao has shown signs of improvement, but no one else on the team is doing shit when T-Mac's not in the lineup.

On one of the latest ESPN blogs from the NBA section, the reporter says that the Knicks and T-Wolves could end up making some sort of deal where Kevin Garnett goes to New York for the expiring contracts of Penny Hardaway, Mau Taylor (I think), and perhaps another player thrown in. The source thinks that KG is trying to get traded, which is why he publicly criticized Kevin McHale recently and that Marbury is also clamoring for KG to reunite with him.

The Pistons are also rumored to have proposed Rasheed Wallace and Darko Milicic for KG as well. Dumars and the T-Wolves are denying they've even spoken about it.

I'll tell you what, KG going to the Pistons would be damn near unfair. Between him and Big Ben, who would grab a rebound on the opposing team or even their own?

Because KG is tired of coming close and never getting over the hump in the playoffs, no matter how well he plays.

And because Minnesota wants to get rid of his salary and start from scratch.

If KG went to Detroit (which I don;t think would be the best thing, as that would screw up the team's chemistry), the bandwagon would be overloaded instantly. On paper, I would almost liken the makeup of the team to the 1991 Bulls.

How will it be any different in New York.

I guess. But, giving up a talent like KG for nothing?

If this deal went down it would seriously make me a diehard NBA fan once again. I haven't been into the NBA big time since 2000-2001, coincidentally the last time the Knicks were a legit good time. I'm sorry but I think one of the big reasons the NBA has declined in popularity the past 5 years is because the Knicks have sucked so hard. It's tough when the team in your biggest market is non-competitive and down right boring to watch. With that said, no chance in hell this deal goes through.

Wow, KG and Marbury in the Knicks would make them a damn strong team. With Brown coaching, who knows where they could go if that deal went through.

EDIT: Oh, and I had a dream last night that Stephon was traded to Atlanta. Go figure.

If you didn't include Marbury, I'd have given them a chance for the 2nd round.

KG on the Knicks takes the Knicks from a "will they make the playoffs?" team to a "how far will they go in the playoffs?" team. They aren't championship contenders, but would become a playoff team barring the Knicks aren't in a big hole by the time KG arrives.

Regarding the KG-Detroit thing, on paper, switching KG+darko for Rasheed in the starting lineup seems like a no-brainer, but messing wtih winning chemistry is a tricky thing. If Detroit was like 6-4 instead of 9-1, I'd be way more open to it. Sheed is so liked and gives such identity and swagger to the team, i feel like his wroth is more than his numbers.

It won't, going to the Pistons would make more sense, even if I think it would screw up the team's chemistry. That was floated out there because of his connection to Marbury when he was in Minnesota.

If it was anyone as the GM but Kevin McHale, I would agree with you. But he just might be that inept to let KG go for a song. KG is one of those players that you can't get equal value for, no matter how many guys you get in the trade.

The Knicks would find someway to fuck it up.

Good bounceback game from the Pistons in beating down a tired and sloppy Nuggets team.

If Maurice Evans can be more consistent, he could be decent. He has the hops, a decent jumpshot, he just needs to improve defensively.
