I'm Not Feeling Survivor Series

Recommended Posts

The WWE Championship match and the RAW Vs. SD matches should be good, but that's about it.  Really not worth the $35, the rest of the card is fucking terrible and worthy of a 2nd rate PPV card line-up for either brand.

The Cena v. Angle match will really only be good if Angle wins. Presumably he will, b/c if he doesn't his head will likely explode

It would be kinda stupid if Angle loses at Survivor Series again because we all know Angle is one of the best if not the best technical wrestler in the WWE. How the fuck can a guy like Cena beat Angle with just 5 moves including the "5 knuckle shuffle" or something like that. ALSO Daivari is the frigging referee. They are trying to hard to make Cena big, meanwhile they are fucking up Kurt Angle. The only ways I want this match to go is: Kurt Angle wins, Cena wins by turning Heel, Brock Lesnar interferes (hey I can dream)

^I agree with you. I think if Cena wins, he WILL get booed out of the arena. Where is SS anyway? If it's overseas, yeah, it's a garauntee he'll get booed. People respect Angle and only boo him b/c people are mindless sheep. But people know he works hard and is a technically better wrestler than Cena, and will cheer him if he does win the title out of respect. That'll really throw a monkey wrench in the WWE's plans b/c they seem to not want to recognize the writing on the wall and keep heel and face defined as they see fit.

Plus, I'm sick of seeing Cena v. Angle. If Angle won the belt, who would he feud with? This is important, b/c depending on who they feud him with, they might cheer more of less for him.

Angle vs. HBK? (again I know)

Angle vs. Kane?

Angle vs. Big Show? (they can have both of them go for the belt and then they turn on eachother. That's what it is heading towards anyways)

Angle vs. Chavo Guerrero?

Angle vs. Hogan?

Angle vs. Shelton? (wooooot)

if they manage to somehow turn Angle Face...

Angle vs. JBL (he can get switched with Edge)?

Angle vs. Triple H?

Angle vs. Carlito?

Angle vs. Chris Masters?

Angle vs. Edge?

Take your pick

Thanks. I can see now how easy it would be for even a tweener angle to get the belt. Begs the question, though, who beside brock did he feud with the last time he was champ?

Oh, and have we seen angle v. HHH?

I don't really remember. I think they had a brief feud before but not really a feud for like 2/3 months so that's an option. But the thing is Angle would then need to be a big Face really fast. I'm now thinking, have Angle face Shelton at New Years Revolution (if they have that PPV) or the Royal Rumble. Shelton beats the crap out of Angle, then Edge comes out and he uses his money in the bank thing FINALLY and he pins Angle after his match with Shelton. Cena wins Rumble, Cena vs. Edge at WrestleMania and Angle vs. Shelton.

The addition of Daivari really throws the possibility of a double turn for a loop. If you want to do a double turn, I'd have Cena take out Daivari, let the match continue with a normal ref, then have Cena use the chain to win.

Or you could have Daivari turn on Angle and join Cena, but that would make no sense.

I guess that's never stopped 'em before... But Daivari joining Cena wouldn't be justifiable by WWE standards. Might as well have Cena announce he's converted to Islam and change his name.

All they have to do is have Cena come out and say something like, 'Yo, I paid this man 50 grand... and the champ is still here!"

That's pretty plausible, but i think due to the simple fact that the 'E has aligned Diviari with Angle prooves they're trying desperately to keep angle heel and cena face. So double turn or not, I don't think either are in the 'E's plans (unless of course cena is booed out of the building continuously).

OR Daivari can change HIS name & convert to hip-hop. Have Cena dress him up & shit, show him the game, give him some bad bitches, some big blunts, the works.

Hassan only seemed to talk that way to let the fans do the Austin "WHAT" chants at him. The guy never got to do one promo where the crowd didn't say "WHAT" after every word he said.

Angle did the same thing when they were "WHAT" chants at him and has since becoming "GRRR ANGLE MAD! ANGLE MAKE TAP!" whenever he talks.

I'll take pauses over rock em sock em Angle.

I think the belt is staying on Cena for the reasons above. If Angle was on smackdown I would be more willing to think he would become champion. Cena is still the top face even though he is currently getting booed. It happens, but I don't think Angle would go down well as a face. Fans are cheering him because he's doing great heel work, but what would that mean for the main event of Mania? HHH vs. Angle is not a strong draw as I think Cena/HHH will be. Yeah, some fans are backing Triple H now, but once he starts poking his nose in the title scene again people will start hating him again. He will also take Angle's spot as the top heel. If Cena drops the belt now and turns heel, by Royal Rumble fans will have him as the top face again anyways. I really can't see long term where they would go with Angle as champ unless they went the Michaels scenario for the 10 year anniversary of HBK winning his first wwf title for Mania, but they already done the rematches too quick with those two. Angle/HHH will be a train wreck my gut tells me as a Mania main event because of their dynamic at Mania. Angle would not be that strong a face unless they build him up to be the top face in the company, but he is doing quite fine as he is.

The RAW vs. Smackdown match reminds me of the opening match of Survivor Series 1994 where one team is stacked, yet they'll probably lose anyways.

And just like 1994 there is one guy on the stacked team that is much weaker than the others (Lashley/Neidhart) and one guy on the weak team that's far better than the rest of the team and will probably be the sole survivor (Michaels/Ramon).

And that match was a huge letdown, considering that heel side had more than enough talent to carry things.

For what it's worth, Cena is on the New Year's Revolution poster with the title in his hands and the elimination chamber next to him.

Here's Meltzer's outlook on the show:

"Survivor Series line-up:

*Trish Stratus vs. Melina for women's title - This was set up by one of the lamest angles in recent memory. It wouldn't shock me to see a title change, even though it would be a miscarriage of justice

*Teddy Long vs. Eric Bischoff. I'm guessing that whomever wins the 10-man, the other side wins this match. Now that we've on the eve of it, given that no good promos have come from this, I question why even bother

*Chris Benoit vs. Booker T in the first match of a best of seven for the U.S. title. This will probably be a good match, but it doesn't matter who wins because we're getting six rematches over the next month or so

*Ric Flair vs. HHH in a last man standing match. Does anyone believe HHH isn't winning this one? How come Flair has gotten so little promo time for this angle?

*Elimination match Raw vs. Smackdown with Chris Masters & Carlito & Shawn Michaels & Kane & Big Show vs. Batista & Randy Orton & Rey Mysterio & JBL & Bobby Lashley. The booking will be interesting here. Smackdown really needs to win, but who knows how this will go down

*John Cena vs. Kurt Angle with Daivari as ref. The plan certainly was not for Angle to beat Cena for the title, but based on how everything has gone down of late, I'm expecting Daivari to cost Cena the title with the idea that losing the belt may quell the Cena backlash

Undertaker also returns on this show."

And, here's some info from the Torch:

"Most backstage are of the impression that Triple H will be winning his match with Ric Flair.

-- Although many are looking forward to Chris Benoit vs. Booker T as one of the better matches on the card, the best of seven series prevents its outcome from having too much storyline impact.

-- The general reaction to the RAW vs. SmackDown! storyline has been very negative, with little of value coming from the booking.

-- Had John Cena retained his popularity through the duration of 2005, there would be no question as to the outcome of his match with Kurt Angle: Cena was scheduled to carry the belt through 2006. But, the fact that he has lost support always casts a shadow of doubt over the outcome (although that doubt proved unnecessary last month). Kurt Angle has been pushing to win the championship, as he believes there is more money in having Cena chase the title, but it remains to be seen if WWE will buy into that philosophy."
