UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Oh and by the way... During the match that Rey DEDICATED TO EDDIE... Taker comes in. Michael Cole: "THE DEAD HAS RISEN!" Heh.
2GOLD Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 I'd be happier that when Taker returns, Randall throws a bunch of drugs, steroids and a toothbrush at him... and tells him to die in Spanish. Might as well go all the way with it, now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only if he also wears a big sombero and is weeping while he does it.
The Niggardly King Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 He also needs to spray him with shit.
Guest clockworkraven Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 If you're going to do that, it may as well be Chavo dying.
Guest Leelee Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Nah, just force him back to Kermit White, or whatever he was.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Say what you want, but the "tasteless angle!" has spawned a brand new Smackdown thread, and had a million of you in the other thread towards the end of the show. And I bet a bunch of people who will now "hate the sick WWF" will watch Smackdown! on Friday to get a glimpse of the "despicable angle" in the highlight video. Controvery = Ratings

UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 No, Big Show absolutely did not spit on the car.

Controvery = Ratings <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, I still have no desire to see it. I actually slept through RAW for the first time in years this week and never felt better. This angle is just too stupid for me to even find it offensive. Hell, I'm impressed they waited this long to do something like this. WWE no longer has shock value with me.
CBright7831 Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 How many times has the Undertaker died? 1994 - Ten men killed him at the Royal Rumble. 1996 - He was buried alive by Mankind, Paul Bearer, and others. 1998 - He was put into a casket by Kane and the casket was set on fire. - He was buried alive by Stone Cold Steve Austin. 2002 - He was thrown through the Smackdown! stage by The Big Show. 2003: - He was buried by McMahon and Kane. 2004 - He put into a hearse by Heidenriech and Paul Heyman. The hearse was then smashed. 2005 - He was put into a casket by Randy Orton and then Orton proceeded to set the casket on fire. - He was put onto Eddie Guerrero's lowrider by Randy Orton. Orton then proceeded to back the lowrider into a the pyro machine and it exploded.
SuperJerk Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 I suspect the only reason many of us still watch is out of a misplaced sense of loyalty to the 2 or 3 workers we still care about.
RavishingRickRudo Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Hansel says. "Eddie Guerrero was a CHARACTER people. God. You guys take everything so seriously."
Jebus Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 I suspect the only reason many of us still watch is out of a misplaced sense of loyalty to the 2 or 3 workers we still care about. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yup, that's it for me at least. ----- As far Taker's deaths go, here's a funny line taken from another forum: "I can't wait for the next Orton/Taker angle where Orton pulls out a shotgun, shoots Taker in the chest at Point Blank Range with it and "kills" him, and then he comes back three weeks later to continue to the next angle where Orton drops a bus on him."
naiwf Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 It just amazes me that people with the motor skills to watch TV, use a computer and type can actually find shit like that entertaining. I weep for humanity.

SuperJerk Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Vince thinks this makes his product look like The Terminator, when really it makes it look like Highlander 2.
Downhome Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 And of course, on WWE.com, we now have this: I'm shocked they didn't make a joke about "Latino Heat", what with all of the flames and shit.
Guest clockworkraven Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Okay. That's a pretty cool image. Now I want to see this, just for how the car looks. Is Australia even getting anything involved with this? Like, a replay on the weekend?
Downhome Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 http://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/photos/ Go there fore more pictures.
Spaceman Spiff Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 I'm offended by the crappy pyro at the end of the show. Was that supposed to be the car exploding, or the set exploding, or Taker pulling some "darkside magic"? Looked really cheesy, even for wrestling special effects.
Slickster Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 I prefer to think of it as "the car backed into the pyro storage area." The pyro looked nothing like actual explosions.
Ravenbomb Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 I didn't even see it, but it sounds to me that everyone is overreacting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm so upset! The room is spinning!

Guest JRE Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Eh...it comes across much worse when it's written out like that then it did actually watching it. ....really could've done without it though. They should've cut it off with Taker saving Rey, so Taker could pay respect to Eddie too, something like that. How much cheap heat does Orton need?
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 How much cheap heat does Orton need? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As much as it takes to make up for the heat he can't get any other way.

How much cheap heat does Orton need? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, it's the principle of doing the thing 16 days after Eddie died, and basically exploiting his memory super blatantly to get cheap heat (there's a difference between what they did tonight and giving Chavo a big push, for instance). On top of that, it looked fucking retarded.

(I agree with you.)
Dangerous A Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 I just thought the whole thing looked stupid. There were several people around me who were non smart marks and thought the whole thing just looked contrived from the moment Kane entered to the very end. Why was Kane given entrance music and pyro? I know it's his Raw entrance, but this is SD. If he wasn't expected, why was his entrance ready to go? I missed the first half hour of the show, but still, why was Kane's entrance all set up? Then the whole Taker bit with him getting run over and the ridiculous amounts of pyro set off after the crash. Throw out the "spitting on Eddie's memory" stuff. This looked dumb, no matter what happened with Eddie. Whoever compared it with Michael Bay was dead on. The non smart marks were into the match and then they are given a dog and pony show, leaving me once again embarassed to be a wrestling fan. Perhaps I should just fight them off with the argument "you just don't get it". Fucking please. With Shane possibly coming back to Raw, I am now at a 2002 type low point with WWE right now.
Guest tony manero Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Hey, just look at it this way: Before his death, Eddie was the WWE's top draw among many target demographics, especially Latinos. As champion, house shows sold much better than any other WWE wrestler since Austin and Rock. After his death, the Eddie Guerrero RAW tribute scored RAW its highest rating since coming back to the USA network. Therefore, in life or death, Eddie is money and the best thing about the WWE; so much so, that Vince McMahon is using Eddie Guerrero in angles. Eddie would laugh his ass off, knowing that. Anyway, that's how I take solace in the tasteless shit I saw tonight.
