Cote D'Ivore Renuion Seychelles Bhutan Malaysia Slovenia Lebanon Bhutan Laos France Nice. Then again, people tend to remember Thailand & Singapore more, since we're sandwiched in between them. Few years back, WWE made a stop at Kuala Lumpur(Malaysia) during a tour...we popped for everyone, even for Michael Cole. Oh, well... Foley & Big Show made several promotional appearences in the past, too....seeing Show live is unbelievable.
CanadianGuitarist Posted January 26, 2006 Author Report Posted January 26, 2006 Laos is debatable, just because of King of the Hill Gabon Benin Belarus Georgia Armenia Togo Mali FUCK! A girl at the office had a tag on her jacket that said "to go", but I read it upside down and assumed it meant Togo. Subsequently, I was prime to post Benin as well. Dammit I wanted to post those two.

The Czech Republic Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Will we ever figure out what the Basque language is related to?
Rob Anybody Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Will we ever figure out what the Basque language is related to? It's got something to do with an area of land around the Spain/France border, which is where the Basque people live. Don't know why they don't just speak Spanish or French; their language must've just been around before the other ones got a hold. Gaul What, you mean France?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 St. Kitts and Nevis Both are islands in the Caribbean and I'll always remember them because it looks like a baseball bat (St Kitts) swinging to hit a baseball (Nevis).
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Will we ever figure out what the Basque language is related to? I do believe that Basque is a region in Spain, but that has little to do with the Basque language other than they are the only people that still speak it.
spiny norman Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 You get a lot for your money in Bolivia, I checked on it.
Justice Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Lesotho: We're completely surrounded by South Africa!
CanadianGuitarist Posted January 27, 2006 Author Report Posted January 27, 2006 Lesotho: We're completely surrounded by South Africa! It was also ruled by King Mushushu I in 1820, according to my favourite Pinky and the Brain ever.
CanadianChris Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 How did South Africa get TWO other countries completely within its borders?
Red Baron Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Isn't Swaziland partly touch Mozambique?
CanadianGuitarist Posted January 27, 2006 Author Report Posted January 27, 2006 apartheid I don't think that's exactly right. They had designated four areas because of apartheid, but no other country recognised them. Swaziland(which does touch Mozambique) wasn't among them I dont think.
The Czech Republic Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Will we ever figure out what the Basque language is related to? It's got something to do with an area of land around the Spain/France border, which is where the Basque people live. Don't know why they don't just speak Spanish or French; their language must've just been around before the other ones got a hold. Okay, I know where the Basque country is. The conundrum is that the language is in no way related to anything in the Indo-European branch of languages, let alone the Romance family that includes Spanish, French, et al. It doesn't seem to be related to Germanic, Celtic, Slavic, or Caucasian languages, either. Did you know that the indigenous population of Japan, the Ainu, is white? How strange. They seem to be very hairy folk who enjoy tattoos and hunting.
Dobbs 3K Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 One theory (which could very well be true) is that the Basques were in Europe much longer than any other of the surrounding tribes. That is why their culture and language are so different.

They had designated four areas because of apartheid, but no other country recognised them. Swaziland(which does touch Mozambique) wasn't among them I dont think. Is that what the Orange Free State is concerned with? That was the second error by an 8th-grade Czech Republic that bumped me out of the geography bee. The question, "other than Lesotho, which African nation has boundaries with only one other nation?" I thought it was the Orange Free State, it was The Gambia, I was outta there, and my lack of knowledge about Africa once again bit me in the ass. The other one was "Where does the majority of Argentina's population come from?" Answer was Europe, I overshot the question and said Asia on the basis of the indigenous tribes arriving from across the Bering land bridge. Had I gotten that right I would've won my room with a perfect 20/20 and not forced the six-way tie that I fucked up on.

CanadianGuitarist Posted January 28, 2006 Author Report Posted January 28, 2006 Chad Lapland(i think) Those two are three small countries in NE SA. Isn't Lapland a region of Scandanavia? Like made up of a certain ethnic group that live in a few different area? Chad is NNE Africa, indeed. Libya to the north, Niger to the west, Central African Republic to the south, Sudan to the East.
The Czech Republic Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Lapland is where the Lapps live, in the northern regions of Norway, Sweden, and Finland. I think they're closer to the Finns than they are the Swedes, in terms of ethnic stock. So they kinda look like monkeys.
