nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 even though it's one big jumbled non-sensical mess, the animated movie gets viewed at least twice a month in my household! My kid pulled it out of the DVD cabinet and wanted to watch it...you know, cartoon and all...had to tell her no, unfortunantly! Yeah, I'd wait a few years before introducing the lil one to the world of Japan-imation if I were you, Lushus. It warped me as a teenager, Lord knows what it'd do to a little kid. JHawk 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 They Live. The plot is something out of an MST3K flick, the aliens look like something my four year old cousin could draw in preschool, and yet I could watch that movie over and over again for the fight scene alone. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 yeah, she can't understand why dad won't let her watch Ninja Scroll! another good shitty movie: Caveman!
Dr. Zaius 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 "Starship Troopers." So awfully acted and pointlessly violent that its impossible to stop watching. "Escape from New York" has so many unintenionally funny moments it deserves an honorable mention.

nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 "Starship Troopers." So awfully acted and pointlessly violent that its impossible to stop watching. Good call, I saw it twice in the theaters, a rare thing for me to do! One of my TA's from college was in Starship Troopers. From what I've heard they show her titties in a shower scene, but I've never bothered to watch the movie to get verification or not.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 Is she black? White with short red hair? Those are the only two chicks I remember that had bit parts in the movie that were in the shower scene. Unless she was just an extra in the back, which is much more likely. I third The Big Hit. I've watched that piece of crap WAY too many times and it never fails to entertain. Also, the live action adaptation of the anime The Guyver is entertaining. Especially when the remaining piece of the Guyver unit is swallowed by one of the creatures, and the elbow-blades pop out of it and slice through (think of a shark's dorsal fin rising above water) as the Jaws music plays. A notable mention must be made to the William Castle classic House on Haunted Hill, which rules solely for Vincent Price (as most of his films do, actually). Dark Castle also makes some entertaining piles of trash based off of William Castle's classic b-movies, with Thir13en Ghosts and House on Haunted Hill being really good movies...until the last 15 minutes or so when everything becomes incredibly convoluted and too sappy. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 yeah, spot on with that assessment for both 13 Ghosts and House On Haunted Hill...I liked them until the last few parts when it all went to shit...the concept of the 13 Ghosts was pretty cool.
Just John 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 The Day After Tomorrow is a perfect one to make fun of with a group. I've done at least 3 times, and each time, someone points out a scientific/plot error that I hadn't heard before.
10 Pounds 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 Ninja Academy. And no way in hell should Commando be on that list. It's the king of B-movies, but it's not that bad.

Vyce 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2006 I'll second "The Guyver". Fun B-grade sci-fi movie, which, yes, I ALSO have on videotape somewhere. Never saw the anime, but the live-action film has Mark fucking Hamill, Vivian Wu, , Michael Berryman, Jimmie "JJ" Walker as one of the 'Zoanoid' monsters, and David Gale as the main bad guy. Yeah, David Gale, he did a bunch of horror flicks in the late 80s / early 90s, including the modern classic, "Re-Animator". He was the guy who's disembodied head tries to eat out the hero's chick. Plus it's got monsters that aren't CGI but men dressed up in big rubber suits with animatronic heads. I have the sequel, "Guyver 2" on tape as well, it's probably worse (plotwise) but just as b-grade fun. Corey mentioned "House on Haunted Hill"......I suppose you could also list the remake of that here, from a few years back, the one with Geoffrey Rush and Famke Jansen. And Taye Diggs and Chris Kattan. Although I don't consider that a bad movie, it was surprisingly entertaining.

Jebus 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2006 Some would say "Out Cold" and "Kung Pow" are bad films but man I have seen them a zillion times. I will also add my name to "The Big Hit" love...

Special K 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2006 Perfect movie to watch when your really stonned. Everybody must get stonned! With Fist of the North Star, the animated version is what I was talking about. God, a live action Fist of the North Star would just be disgusting. Cabin Fever has several great moments, but it's a weird movie. It doesn't come together as a horror/comedy at all, the tone wildly varies. A good candidate for a good bad movie. Even going to the Wild Zero IMDb page is entertaining. The quotes and movie tagline are magic. I actually bought a Guitar Wolf album after this film. Much like Wild Zero, it sucks and is quite enjoyable.

Special K 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2006 Oh, man, if you want a really enjoyable bad comedy, get Kung Phooey. Made for about $30, it's way more entertaining than it has any right to be. Make sure you get the DVD, as the deleted scene with a Steven Segal clone is the funniest part of the movie. My friend rented this, and I'm always pretty loathe to watch a straight to video movie, but it was pretty fucking funny. Definitely a pleasant surprise. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2006 funny enough, Kenshiro only makes one head explode and it's off screen...there's a flashback scene (the scene where he recieves his 7 wounds) where he ALMOST makes Chris Penn's head explode, forcing him to wear a mask that makes you think he's Jagi.
